  • Frank van Eerd did his TEDx talk in Dutch because he is passionate about a local product: the Limburg cherry. “Eating them has so many health advantages, it beats power food worldwide by far. This talk is about regional products and the positive effect of using them.
Frank van Eerd is a passionate baker and grain packer with deep roots in the world of mills and bakeries. He beliefs that his personal mission is to make consumers and other bakers aware of healthy food. He focuses on the meaning of grains and vegetables.
Frank is the first 100% spelt baker of the Netherlands. He also supplies various old and new grains throughout the Netherlands. Frank shows how simplicity and returning to the essence of food result in baking irresistible bread and ‘vlaaien’ (sweet pies of Limburg). In his bakery, he uses sustainably grown materials from producers from Limburg that he personally knows. His chain is 100% transparent.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx
