Room temp snacks are always bad news, unless we're talking chips and nuts. My worst case of the both-end squirts was at a buffet in Brazil. Room temp crab and cheese...never again, three days of misery.
I remember when Air India used to fly from Perth to Bombay with the 747-200's when I was a kid. Always remember the stories, not surprised they don't fly here anymore
Sorry about your food poising, hopefully you recovered quickly. The first overhead airport shot you showed in California is my home airport, Santa Rosa. How cool! Have you ever flown in / out of Charles M Schultz Sonoma County Airport? They have been doing lots of upgrades to the airport over the last decade, and now have several airlines who operate here.
Interesting approach into SFO. I've flown in hundreds of times, and I've never seen the Bay Bridge on approach. Usually, they fly in from the south, flying over the peninsula. Ever since I was a wee spud (dad worked for UAL), I always took the window seat on the portside (usually A1!) so I could look down and see our house! Yeah, we lived in the flight path - and my folks indulged in lots of plane-spotting. Mom could even tell me where the (United) planes were coming from. Mom was my pre-cellphone FlightTracker! 😂
Get better Noel. You ate that Garuda Bird with a special sauce. When doing business traveling in south Asia . I was so sensitive to this I could never eat or drink out of a 5 star western hotel. I feel for you
Everything was great in the video until you got food poisoning because of chicken tikka, but from my experience I could tell you that it could be the mint chutney/ dip that might have caused you this as when coriander leaves are not washed properly might contain bacteria in them or it could be stale and eating large quantity of chutney might triggered the stomach infection but as far as Air India is concerned they have done a nice improvement 👍
Had a friend who was very careful on what he ate and drank. Still got amoebiasis. Turns out, though he got mineral water, its was the ice that got him.

As someone who used to work the Air India flights into SFO, its not just chaotic for passengers... us ramp agents HATED working this flight. The pilots and mechanics have NO REGARD for ramp safety. Absolutely horrific experience for both passengers and rampers.
Omg.. Noel… that is sooo bad my friend. My heart goes out to you. I’m a professional chef and I know room temperature food is a NO NO. On a tour of the Canyonlands I had luke warm rice at a Mexican in Monticello.. my wife and my son both had bad guts the next day… I got caught short in Monument Valley literally in the middle of the desert … not pleasant at all.
I absolutely hate this lounge. The BLR-SFO flight departs at 13:50, most international flights in India are departing in the night. That's why the lounge was so empty in his video. In the night (last experience is only 10 days ago, BLR is my home airport), the lounge gets super packed. I find the vibe horrible and so is the food. The new 080 lounge we had in terminal 1 was sooo much better! The new domestic lounge in terminal 2 is great. The whole domestic terminal is great. But the new international terminal is sub-par (except for the plants of course. My first impression was "wow", but the domestic part in terminal 2 is so much better!
Love your videos. I've only got food poisoning twice in the same hotel going in different directions. I stopped in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 🇲🇾 as a stop over, going too and back from the UK. Going to the UK, the food poisoning didn't hit until I landed in Heathrow. When I came back to the same hotel on my way home back to Australia. I was at that hotel for less than 24 hours. It was more likely 12 hours. I had their buffet breakfast. It tasted very nice. I headed out to see the twin towers. Where I was walking around a shopping centre, I began not feeling well. I grabbed the first taxi back to my hotel. They say in Malaysia you have to barter the taxi fair. I didn't care, I just wanted to get back to my hotel. I think he charged me 20 Malaysian Riggits. I didn't care. I paid him and ran back to my room within minutes of me returning to my hotel. I became extremely unwell. I was extremely sick. It was so bad that my bathroom was covered in vomit. I had to ask housekeeping for a bucket. As it was coming out of both ends. I called the receptionist of the hotel asking for a doctor to come to my room. The hotel tried to convince me to take a taxi to a hospital. No taxi driver in their right mind would take me. They relented and got me a doctor. The doctor was fantastic. He gave me an injection to stop the vomiting and diahrea and a few sachets of electrolytes to rehydrate me. The doctor said that I had a very bad case of food poisoning. He was very concerned about me as I was travelling alone. So, he called me the next day just to check up on me. I went down the next day to the reception and paid the 800 Malaysian Riggits for the doctor. The hotel staff didn't trust me. They ordered me to sit as I looked extremely sick. The staff thought that I was going to collapse on them. I used their computer while they were doing all the paperwork for my doctor. They emailed me a questionnaire about their service. Of course, I told them that I got food poisoning from their breakfast. Later that day, I received a knock at the door. There stood about 4 men. The hotel owner, the hotel manager, the kitchen manager, and someone else whom I don't know what they did. They questioned me on everything I ate and whether it came from them. I told them I only ate at their restaurant. They jotted down everything I ate. They even gave me something in compensation. You'll never guess what my compensation was. It was a complimentary meal at one of their restaurants. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when you have food poisoning. The last thing you're thinking of is food. I would rather have a gift voucher to the gift shop than a free meal. It was a good thing that I was in Malaysia for a week because that's how long I was sick. On my last day, I had the strength to eat my free meal. I chose their most expensive restaurants to eat. While eating my meal, the kitchen manager kept checking on me, making sure that everything was OK. He asked me about the time my flight was to Australia. It was around 6am. if my memory serves me correctly. The buffet wasn't open then. So, he asked me what I like for breakfast, and I would get room service on them. I told him bacon and eggs and coffee. Morning came, and so did my breakfast. I was just expecting a couple of slices of bacon, a couple of poached eggs, and a slice of toast. Well, it was more likely a mountain of bacon, a half a dozen eggs, a half a loaf of toast, 2 orange juice, 2 coffees, and 2 fruit salads. I was still full from the night before and still hadn't fully recovered from the food poisoning. To say the least, I couldn't eat it all. I was surprised that my flight on Malaysian Airlines could fly with me on board after eating that mammoth breakfast. I was glad that I had 7 days in Malaysia as there would be no way I could fly in that condition.
You are like everyone who would be like a 5 year old hearing the name of that town lol. So sorry you got ill, what a shame since the rest of the experience was positive. Hope you have had a good rest and are feeling better.

21:23 THAT WOMAN IS GOING THROUGH SOMETHING HORRIBLE, SOMEBODY HELP HER 😂😂😂
poor woman, she's over it
Yeah, a 16 hr flight with a small child. 😆 She is stronger than us all
At least she’s in business lol. My mom had 4 kids in economy twice a year, from New York to Tokyo, and London to Tokyo for many years 😂
Thanks Noel, for real. An ER visit in SF with the alert to 'Air India', considering the timeliness, perhaps will get you a full refund and data on others who suffered as you did. *****Please report food poisoning as soon as it occurs. You know when it is sufficiently bad to report it.***** Watching all the hundreds of flights with videos of (slop, just pig slop) meals served, it is a miracle this is the first poisoning I've seen.
Excluding China, India poisons more people than the rest of the entire world combined.
If I was on a long flight I think I’d stick with bagged snacks and water as my “meal”. I’ll survive lol
Get better Noel. You ate that Garuda Bird with a special sauce. When doing business traveling in south Asia . I was so sensitive to this I could never eat or drink out of a 5 star western hotel. I feel for you
23:55 India strikes again lol
The 3M sticker is something you can get your initials stamped into at a TUMI store then stick it onto a bag! 😊
Food Poisoning? Bet youre missing grey hound LOL.
😅
Had a friend who was very careful on what he ate and drank. Still got amoebiasis. Turns out, though he got mineral water, its was the ice that got him.
He was very careful about what he ate and drank and he drank something with ice in it?
Even children know that you should avoid ice in India or other developing countries 😂
@@Jin88866my country is a developing country and our tap water has never gotten me sick.
@@john-darrenesterhuizen9008because you are used to it, Einstein
@@skateboarding118 The water ain’t good but it is safe. My country is probably one of the safest and best in Africa.
I love the random currency at the end 😂
I loved the random Ilyushin!
The toiletries aren’t unbranded. Malin+Goetz is the brand. They are brand standard at Le Meridien hotels (or used to be). The sticker is to get it monogrammed and attach to the Tumi case.
Yeah, if I remember the TUMI store used to do the monogram for free probably still do
@@AC-cj : This Noel always show Indian Airlines in a very poor fashion..may be does that intentionally to get some more likes and views, so he can get more 💰🤑💵
@@SRB38 His review seemed very fair to me!
@GlobalIyengar or maybe Indian Airlines truly suck ... having flown both Air India & Vistara, I can say that
@@SRB38I Don't think faking Food Poisioning is Easy, so this is very real.
I lived in the Middle East for 3 years in the 90s and the ONLY time I ever got food poisoning was from a very expensive high end Indian Restaurant. All of the times I ate in street cafes I never had an issue
Your videos are so enjoyable. Your personality is wonderful. I love the 1st person POV and especially enjoy the appreciation of each airport & lounge!
Glad you like them!
Sorry you weren’t well mate.
There were hints on the way:
0:41 elevator doors opening sounded like a toilet flushing.
The “Tumi” amenity kit 😔
Aside from that, they have improved by the looks of it ☺️
I know TUMI is well known for their ballistic weave bags but an eye mask made out of ballistic weave does seem quite like overkill.
@@Moonstone-Reduxyou don’t want bulletproof sleep?
Not to be the bad omen but that's the sound of the water fall, not the elevator. You an clearly hear it the entire time he is in that lobby.
How does the amenity kit indicate anything?
@@Roadent1241 if you read it as 'tummy' and not 'tumi'.
I think the Ilyushin joke flew over everyone's head, crashing into Noel's stool review 💩
BLR to SFO hoping we can get some down to LA soon! Even if the service is poor, it helps make LA competitive! plus it is another option in the worst case! Love SFO tho! and BLR is getting better (still some ways to go)
From a local subscriber, glad you loved the KIA T2 terminal in Bengaluru :) And so sorry you had a bout of food poisoning!!
They’ve just started flying their A350 into Heathrow, you have to try that one out plus stock up on Imodium 😂
As a person that works for a U.S. based airline and travels 3-4 trips a month for work, I really appreciate your videos. Hope you recovered quickly, that is awful when your traveling
Glad you like them!
Omg... so it wasn't just me that got diarrhoea after flying air india
Hey Noel I’m so sorry you had a bad experience with air India on your recent flight
I’m happy that you loved my home town airport.
Please give air India a few more years once all the aircraft are delivered you will have a much better experience with them.
Wow ! So happy that AIR INDIA made such a great improvement !
Great video Noel! ❤️🙏🏻 Take some Commodium with you next time! 🍗💩
As someone who used to work the Air India flights into SFO, its not just chaotic for passengers... us ramp agents HATED working this flight. The pilots and mechanics have NO REGARD for ramp safety.
Absolutely horrific experience for both passengers and rampers.
That lounge is swamped at 3:00 in the morning.
We just watched that A350 arrive at Heathrow on Big Jet TV. Stunning but I miss the design over each window
I always figured the doors on plane seats acted like a do not disturb sign.
Food poisoning with something india related. How shocking and surprising. 100% wouldn't expect that
"Very Good" So sorry for the illness.
So sorry that happened to you! Hope you are fully recovered.
Love to fly, but refuse to eat poultry or fish on a flight
I agree
There won’t be any beef offered. Cows are sacred in India
@@JUVI9596Really ? AI is a global airline. It attracts travellers from many different nationalities and cultures.
Me too
@@alexmcwhirter6611 some airlines are dry. No alcohol served due to religious reasons. Same concept
You shit your britches
Wow that lounge was epic!
That's a wonderful seat...definitely not cattle class.
You are like everyone who would be like a 5 year old hearing the name of that town lol. So sorry you got ill, what a shame since the rest of the experience was positive. Hope you have had a good rest and are feeling better.
Awesome video Noel
Enjoyed it
I'm sorry about your food poisoning. Tiresome trips will definitely compound the issue. I'm glad you look better, and I'm looking forward to the next video (after some good rest, of course). Cheers!
Wi-Fi is so temperamental. I’m glad that you enjoyed your Air India experience. Too bad for food sickness. What a downer. Please get well and enjoy your family. Thank you!
Is that a BOAC VC-10 in the display case behind you? I was fortunate to fly on one when I was like 10 years old from JFK to LHR, my favorite plane of all time to this day. Once again great video.
There’s one on display at Duxford that you can walk through
I love your reviews Noel from a fellow ex East Midlands ex pat in Sydney
I'm also in the east mids. We're looking at moving to Australia as well. Have been for years honestly.

Hostess should be using food temperature probe to make sure food hot. Looks a bit like Singapore airport with the tropical garden's water feature but looked like a really good airport. Great review as always
Just like you said it! Every time you go to india something happens!
Another fantastic video mate! Hope you recovered soon pal! Keep up the great work 👊🏾👊🏾☺️☺️
The food poisoning was probably a freak accident rather than an indicative of the general product. If they’re were regularly giving people food poisoning that would probably become a talking point in aviation circles anyway
Perhaps, but serving RT chicken does seem like bad practice.
It is already well known 😂
Another classic video. From the pronunciation of certain words to the food poisoning. Glad you are ok
Terribly sorry for you man! Pray you don't run into such encounters again and you stay safe!
LOL, I like how the lady on right is giving the classic British salute, what a cheeky lady. Thanks for another great video.
it means peace in other countries like the US, whereas here in Australia and the UK it's rude
16 hours an no wifi!!
The tag with 3M is for the personalization on the Tumi box. You can get it hot stamped at any Tumi store and then add it to the little Tumi box

Welcome to SFO. I also had a minor bout of food poisoning after eating on the new Air India A350 business class.
It was a shame because the flight and crew were magnificent and they served so much food, it was amazing!
14:25 these are not potato chips
Did Air India 15 hour flight chicago- delhi twice. Once was fine, the other time was screaming kids running around, horrible food, everyone needed a wheelchair and boarded early hell in the air. Economy y class both times as well. Yup, real fun.
😂😂 The wheelchairs are just so that they get priority boarding
16:58 lady immediately proving your point….
Reminds me of a colleague who went to Delhi last year. Managed to avoid getting sick the entire time whilst they were in India just to get food poisoning on the flight back home!
Are you sure it was food poisoning, and not some kind of stomach bug?
Hey Noel! Welcome to SFO! Sorry it was uncomfortable after the fact, hope you're better now.
BTW already use AirALO. Love it. Wouldn't have made it through either South Africa, Vietnam or even my last UK visit without it!
Free ‘Delhi belly’ with every flight. I so wanted to try them but that just put me off.
