I am arriving in India for the first time! Join me on a journey from Thailand to Delhi, India. Delhi is not only the biggest city in India, it's also one of the biggest cities in the world with over 32 million people. How will it be to arrive in such a mega city? Delhi is only going to be the first stop for me on my journey in India. Over the next weeks I will also leave New Delhi and travel to different areas of India. But for now I am happy to be in Delhi, India and explore this interesting mega city. Join me!

Shukriya means thank you in Urdu and dhanyvad means too thank you but in hindi😊😊
"Dhanywad" and "Shukriya" have the same meaning in Indian language.
had a great trip🇮🇳
Congrats 300k subs! so happy for you 😁
If you don't want to have stomach issues, prefer eating at the hotel you are staying at. You can get your meal prepared according to you.
In Delhi you can try
1 parantha
2 chole bhature
3 lassi to drink
In south Indian dishes you can try
Idli Vada
Dosa
Ice cream & shakes at Nirulas Connaught place in Delhi
You can try food at hotel Sheraton
Leela ambience
Itc maurya
Oberoi
Hyatt
Radisson
For Street food visit Chandni chowk
You should use OLA or uber instead of tuktuk. That will be fair in price.

India is my absolute favourite destination.
My first trip to India was back in 2016 and again in 2018. I spent 4 months backpacking and staying with families and NGO’s.
My first impression of Delhi was like yours.
The airport was clean, comfortable and duty free excellent.
We took a taxi into town and the beginning of the drive from the airport was clean and well maintained.
Then we hit the organized chaos of Delhi.
Loved every moment of my time there and visited Chandi Chowk and Red Fort.
I do prefer smaller places and really enjoyed McLeod Gang and Ram Jula.
Great place to visit, very hospitable and kind people.
Looking forward to going south next time.
It's mcleod ganj not gang
But these places are also overhyped.
You must be British. British are excellent travellers
Pl visit north east India too
Come to Konkan
Old delhi is chaotic.. Its full of challages.. New delhi is great😊
Belive me no tourist like to go new delhi or noida or gurugram . They like to see chaotic areas 😂 coz that's what they came to see in india ...

This is a rarefied sanitized bubble stay for the foreigner in Aerocity. The guy must go to other areas of Delhi like Paharganj to get royally scammed, conned , cheated and mistreated apart from experiencing the filth, dirty, chaos and the poor hygiene standards generally of the people. A Delhi belly is something you will contract de riguer as an inescapable right of passage through Delhi/ Dilli, India 😂😂!
@@sureshbharadwaj7403 Exactly my point. If you can only point out negative side why can't he point out positive side?? Why always inclined towards negative when positive still exists.
@@Sakura__kun__kawaii Because that is more representative. You can show India/ Indians as wealthy / rich people too but that would be far from the truth. The truth being the bulk majority still live in poverty and many even subsistence levels.

Dhanyawad is most formal and appropriate in Hindi.
Dhanyawad is Hindi, shukriya is Urdu. In India you can use either
Both are equally usable.
Shukriya and Dhanyawad both are formal...but Dhanyawad being a longer word could be hard to say for first timers.
Dhanyawad is pure Hindi word,so we Indians must use only dhanyawad.

Good video. This is my 1st video of yours. You explain well & speak well. Seems like you are apt in making videos. Liked watching.
You are the rare western youtuber who spends money and give tips...good for a change...stay in nice areas..welcome
As of tourist places , completely skip purani Dilli i.e. old one (Jama Masjid , Chandni Chowk , Spice market etc.) & rather visit these on a cooler day -
1. Parliament of India
2. President House
3. Rajpath
4. Rail Museum , Chankyapuri
5. Santushti Arcade , Chanakyapuri
6. National Muesum (contain 1000s years old Harappan artefacts & all)
7. Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (place where Gandhi was murdered , now a museum)
8. Bangla Sahib Gurudwara
9. Jantar Mantar
10. Connaught Place
11. Zoo
12. Humayun Tomb
13. Akshardham Temple
14. Kutub Minar
15. Lotus Temple
Kindly note 1-10 falls in the New Delhi zone & so can be covered in a single , large stretch from dawn to dusk or in 2 days . Similarly 11 & 12 simply face each other across the road while 13 a few km from 12 in a straight line . Also besides these places , there are many magnificient malls in Delhi NCR which you can look up online . Lastly , you may prefer to skip places you are not interested in .
As of markets , prefer these :
1. Lajpat Nagar
2. GK Market
3. South Extension
4. Khan market
5. Janpath / Connaught Place
6. Karolbagh
7. Rajouri Garden market
8. Sarojini nagar (cheapest of all)
Then there are specialised markets like Nehru Place for electronic items .
As of food , Delhi is a non-veg heaven but at right places only which again are in hundreds . For eg. Chicken Curry at Rajendar da Dhaba - ff to 6:07 th-cam.com/video/JF8dSeWlLO0/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygURcmFqaW5kZXIgZGEgZGhhYmE%3D
Or Butter Chicken at Havemore - th-cam.com/video/9aX5Xe0EbUQ/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUXaGF2ZW1vcmUgYnV0dGVyIGNoaWNrZW4%3D
But again this is subjective so you may find these dishes even better at other places so explore more online or word of mouth . Also there are plenty of non-veg varities than your stereotyped Butter Chicken Curry & Tikka Masala so try them . Try Mutton dishes too .
As of veg food , again there are plenty of renowned ones so search online or word of mouth . For eg. the ones I had & recommend are Chholey Bhature & Rajma Chawal at Baba Nagpal corner in Amar Colony or Chur Chur Aloo Naan at Chawla Paharganj etc.
And as a word of caution , don't just randomly pick any tom dick harry stall at roadside and never at cheap carts with unhygenic food with run of mill taste or worse . Better search online or word of mouth for renowned places .
As of staying , just stay away from Paharganj & rather choose a good Airbnb in Lajpat Nagar , Hauz Khas , Greater Kailash or any good area of Delhi which are in plenty . Or depending on budget , any 3 to 5 star hotel in these areas or Aerocity . Google MMT , Agoda , Tripadvisor etc
😊
Thanks very detailed information one day it’ll come handy to me
Skipping that shithole purani dilli is the best suggestion. Never got any people go there
Nailed it brother 👍
actually a good recommendation. Its best to avoid crowded and I hate to say it but poorer regions of Delhi to have a good time as a tourist if you are going there for the first time
Smart man slowly adjusting not directly jumping in to chaos...hope you have a great time in india

Welcome to India bud. Have a great journey. 🙏💐
Dhanyawad is Hindi word and shukriya is Urdu word and meaning is same like thank you .. Both languages originated in India 😊🇮🇳❤
Saying Urdu is just as much an Indian language as Hindi is a bit disingenuous.
Urdu wasn't born in India, it was merely "assembled" in India.
Most pure-Urdu words are existing Arabic/Persian/Turkic words, including the word "Shukriya" which is an Arabic word.
@@yerajoker3524Urdu is very much an Indian language. And no, most of the words in Urdu are not loan words from Arabic/Persian/Turkish. Most of the words are from a language colloquially called Hindustani. Loan words make up barely 20-25% of Urdu vocabulary, rest all of the words are from Hindustani (Hindi and Urdu both originate from Hindustani). Shukriya is an Urdu word, not arabic. The arabic equivalent will be “shukran”.
@@yerajoker3524 Urdu originated from City of Nawab called Lucknow in uttar Pradesh State of India
@@hemantsahuraj You used two Urdu words in your comment, "Nawab" and "Urdu".
"Nawab" is borrowed from Persian, "Urdu" is borrowed from Turkic languages. "Pure" Urdu is a hodge podge of Persian-Arabic-Turkic languages.
Hence what I said, Urdu didn't originate in India, it is merely assembled in India.
@@yerajoker3524 By that logic English is not from UK beacuse it has loan words from Germanic, latin and other european languages. Urdu is an Indian language, taking some words from other languages dosn't make it foreign language. Urdu 75-80 % vocabulary is similar to Hindi. This both languages are successor of Hinduatani language.
would love to visit India because of all the vegetarian options!

Hi are the great guy too make all happy 👏👏🫶✨✨💫☀️☀️☀️🙏🙏😂😂
You either hate Delhi or love it! There is no middle ground. I’ve been 8 times and obviously i love Delhi. Paharganj is my favourite place to base myself. Can recommend casa central and natraj for budget accommodation and SAMS BAR for people watching while enjoying a beer or cocktail if you’re lucky enough to get a table overlooking MAIN BAZAAR.Usually you can only withdraw 10,000 rupees from atm. Exiting the airport is a lot less chaotic then it used to be now that autos aren’t allowed in.My best advice is to always agree on a price before proceeding further and dont get tricked by auto drivers to go via any market or store. Offer them an extra 50 rupees not to take you [thats usually how much they get paid to bring a tourist there] that will save you time and money. And 50 rupees is the usual price for auto to a nearby place. NEVER EVER TELL ANYONE ITS YOUR FIRST TIME THERE!To save offending anyone just say thankyou. Danyvaad is used when addressing Hindus. Shukriya for muslims. But thankyou is pretty much universal as well as placing your hand on your heart, that shows appreciation! As for the food and drink. Always use bottled water, even for brushing teeth.Avoid ice cubes!Check out the oil before buying deep fried food. If it resembles sump oil from a car engine dont eat there. Keep an open mind, don’t judge. You will see things you probably wish you didnt. Accept that other peoples lives are different from ours. Never believe that your booked hotel is very bad or burnt down etc. My usual response is’ my friend/husband is waiting there for me’ As for must have food items Chole Bhatura,Kathi rolls and garlic cheese naan are must haves! Dahl makhani is rich and my favourite Dahl Enjoy Delhi. I wish i was there. Sundar Bharat!
Hmmm paharganj out of all places. Will it be offensive to ask why?
@PradhanmantriBruhh not offensive. I like the chaos of main bazaar, the shopping, the food and I'm not afraid to say NO to people trying to sell me something or go to THEIR SHOP! I understand that's their way to earn so I try my best to be nice but firm. It's handy to the airport and the metro. Delhi's rail system is great! Everyone has a different opinion but I like it there.

9:25 if you knew the rate of data in India, you would definitely have opted for the local SIM. It's about 200-300 INR(3-5 USD) for a month, with data cap of 1 GB-3GB/day. The price listed in the nomad app there is 6-10 times the original rate, if I am not mistaken.
Edit: Well, you did know the rate. But, it was sponsorship.
do you think these youtubers pay out of their pocket? sponosored videos covers their flight tickets, hotel bookings and other expenses. thats the advantage of being a youtuber if you have decent size audiance. until then one have to grind their way up.
It was sponsored.

Ofc because India is a developing nation it changes every day
You must have visited Old Delhi.
There's a world of difference between old Delhi and New Delhi.
Visit again in 2032 and have your mind blown🎉
India is moving towards Capitalism. Within the next 10 years or so things would change rapidly. If everything goes perfectly Mumbai could become the future New York or maybe close to it. True the poor would slowly get crushed under this massive development push and crimes too would go up as people fight for survival but again that's the only way this country could make any real progress.
I haven’t watched this video yet because I’m a brand new subscriber and I’ve just started watching your visits to China. Welcome 🤗🌸🌸
Nice video.. its good that you are showing the development and premium side of India .. India is many faceted.. it has poverty and chaotic traffic as well as uber luxury and beauty
Hi Ken, I cant wait to get your view on India. I have traveled there twice and think it has so much to see. Delhi - Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple is amazing but you cant take pictures. Its like a brand new Angkor Wat as in Cambodia. Taj Mahal is also amazing. Try and get to Jaipur and stay at the Neemrana fort palace. And the try the Golden temple in Punjab. Have a great trip and I look forward to watching all your travels. Take care !
Your experiences in Sri Lanka & Malaysia will come in good stead especially we comes to Indian cuisines. Been a while since i got to checkout your adventure. Stay safe and take care our there!.. Cheers mate!
Thank you brother for showing some good sides of India. ❣️🙌🏻
This video gave me a great shock. As a Chinese, many of my impressions of India came from the BBC documentary "Welcome to India" many years ago. Without this video, I might not have known that there are such modern places in India.
Indian very friendly bro....India always good country brother
We r growing, and we love china❤, super modern country
@@M.Praveen....8220I have always wanted to try pani puri, but there are few Indian restaurants in China😥
Who is watching BBC 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Brother BBC is a propaganda news channel
It’s so amazing, when I follow you 2 weeks ago, you have 20,000+ subscribers, now look at you! Big success! Congratulations!🎉🎉🎉
20.000 subscribers? That way a few years ago, not 2 weeks 🤔😅
@@KenAbroad ohh really? Sometime TH-cam carry other people’s figure, and don’t change when you switch to next video, that’s probably why. Anyways, big congratulations for you!🥳
@yvonnehua1266 I think you've watched a video that was on YT few years ago. It keeps on coming back.

Welcome to India, Ken! Hope you experience the beauty and the uniqueness of our motherland from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Gujarat to Arunachal Pradesh. Getting to see different , beautiful and unique places every 150 km is exciting! Stay safe bro!
AP is a stolen land. It is South Tibet .
印度看起来真的不错,比想象中要好很多,中国应该给印度更加多的真实报道,因为印度和中国一样都是很大的国家
Because china is king of censored propaganda
Thankyou for appreciating, lot's of respect for India♥️
Shukriya and dhanyabad both are same this meaning is respect thanks I love India pleses come to Bihar
Wish you have a great trip🎉
1) India can be chaotic at some places 😅 But like we say, there's a harmony in Chaos here. You get used to it & love it later on.
2) India is a developing country. So not every place will be same. But India is not like any other country of this world.
3) Do visit Historical places & temples of India. You gonna love it.
4) Indian spicy doesn't mean Chilli hot. If you eat at good places, NOTHING GONNA HAPPEN ✌️
5) Do visit places like Kerala, Uttrakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Kashmir etc..
6) You get, what you pay for here.
India has things for all kinds of budgets. If you want everything Cheap, then you won't get that quality too 😅
Just accept everything with OPEN MIND, and you will be fine ✌️
Try Endian specialty cow-dung. Only available as food in Endia 😂

Thanks Ken for this great video which changed my perceptions of India. I am very curious of Indian village life as well, is it possible you will go there? Love India from Taiwan, China.
Тайвань находится в Китае? Ты из будущего?
Welcome to India brother..
Need to report that metro ticket guy who charged you 200 rupees instead of 22..it usually never happens on Delhi metro.. sorry on his behalf
He didn't charge extra woh card ke paise bol Raha tha .
@@navneetgoswami9512 No...he charged 2.4 dollars..
See again
@@navneetgoswami9512he was scammed. Should of paid 20 rupee 0.24 dollars, not 200 rupee which is 2.40 dollars.
@ravindrasharma7213, the price for Indians and foreigners is different, brother.
@@sudhanshumishra3216 The Delhi Metro has a fixed rate for everyone, including foreigners.
"It's an auto with a capacity of 4 people. You should pay ₹ 20 if you are sharing, but since you are taking the whole auto, I think the price is correct."
you Should Say Dhanyawad - "Thank You " in India 💯🔥

Its not durty because your not in a slum.
Most of the youtubers make videos in either rural areas or Slums.
Maybe because they get a lot of views.
