I'm just sorry Noel that you had to spend over $2500.00 just to check this Company's product out & to FINALLY get an actual flight, all be it a small quick one, to further be able to tell us that this is a bit of a scam. I appreciate your dedication to providing us "air travelers" honest assessments of flights, companies, etc. everything related to air travel so that we're well informed! You're a trooper & a "class act" thank you!
The eight month long set-up for what turned out be a joke (of an app) was very well done. LOLed when you said your destination and at pretty much everything after that. 😂
Kudos for sticking with that. They seem to be a travel agent “selling” seats on otherwise empty positioning flights. You didn’t by any chance hang about to see the pax who got on it from IAH to LAS for the next flight? Likely not Vault pax - likely charter company Volato - the owner of the jet who recently had a class action from their former employees. I’d just fly Spirit and book 40 x $50 seats and go further 😂
Those flights are more than likely reposition/ferry flights that would otherwise just go empty. These flights are by no means guaranteed to happen, the jet companies will do everything in their power to not have to ferry/repo a plane.
Noel, I cannot believe that you settled for a trip across town. Expensive, unreliable and a real bait & switch! Poor guy! What an experience- Best wishes to you and your family & happy travels always!
Love all of your videos for the adventures you take for those of us who live vicariously through you. This one broke my heart though, especially the part where you were going to spend such a special trip with your son. As a father that really pissed me off. Keep up the great content!
I wouldn't pay any amount to fly on one of those. That is not a lottery, it is a rip off. The flight lasted longer than 4 minutes only because the aircraft had to be vectored and sequenced in a busy terminal area. Thanks for the video.
For real. I mean, at some point early in the vvideo he read off a bit where the queueing is based on how recently you've had a flight, and when you signed up for the app (presumably with older users getting priority.) So indeed it's not even a lottery, if it was a lottery one could at least be like "Well, there's 2 people on the queue so I have 50/50 odds", but having priority based on these factors means you wouldn't even have that.
Hey Noel, 1st of all, thank you for all the videos. I'm a aviation enthusiast and I appreciate the content you show. In regards to this company, it is 💯 a scam. Just because you were able to finally fly with them after spending like $2000, doesn't mean you can't call them a scam. It is not harsh to say that. Also, you mentioned this being more like a lottery. Lottery never promises to win. It's chances. This on the other hand, it's a service. So not a lottery. It is a scam. I appreciate you showing us all this video about this company. Life is too short to be nice to these people running these kinds of companies and think they can get away with this. Scam. Period. Again, big fan of your channel. Keep it up!!
I can't imagine who would be interested in this (non)service. It not only costs you $2,000, for which you receive nothing but the vague possibility of a private jet trip if the stars align correctly, but it also costs you countless dollars in often unusable regular airline tickets to actually accommodate your travel needs.
In the EU, most jurisdictions, this would certainly be very close to basic fraudulent behaviour (on the criminal side). You simply cannot charge someone 1k for „Membership“ without providing any services for that membership, even though Noel CLEARLY tried.
Vault probably has loopholes in very fine print in the middle of the contract that gets them out of having to provide flights. They force the users into arbitration instead of a courtroom. That's how it usually goes.
The other night I had a dream where I was in a formal debate with Spongebob. The moderator was throwing some real hardball questions at me, and as I was umming and ahhing, suddenly there was a Noel Philips loo review. I'm not sure who won the debate in the end, but either way it's pretty cool that Noel takes up the same space in my brain as Spongebob Squarepants.
My guess would be that they are selling you a space on a repositioning flight. So a private client will hire the jet at full price (10s of thousands of dollars) and when that flight is done instead of flying the jet back empty to its home base or an airport for another private booking they try to make some money and fill these empty legs that why the options seem quite random and all over the place but thats only my guess.
This is exactly it, most likely for private jet charter operators that need to do empty legs between where one client lands and where the next paying client has booked it from. Because these are absolutely low priority flights that the charter company really doesn't want to be operating at all they will do anything in their power to remove them from the schedule if possible so anyone selling legs on them is only going to get them on a contingency basis.
May be a bit cynical but I don’t believe there ever were any serious flights to Denver or whatever. This was their plan from the beginning: to take thousands of dollars from you just to fly you 14 miles down the road, cost per mile with everything included was probably regular private jet levels
I recall a similar service from years back. I think what makes me classify them as a scam is the advertisement. Had they advertised "a remote possibility to get on a uselessly short ferrying flight from difficult to reach airport to another like it", it would've been a fair game. But the advertisement had two cheery people explaining how they're flying all over the country constantly, giving an impression you're just jumping for a business jet to another all the time like catching a local bus. This was obviously not the case, thus I'd ranking it somewhere between false advertising and flat out scam.
This video was the best one yet. 😂😂 Goodness! Bless you Noel and the amount of patience you have. 🙏🏼 I can only hope that I have the same patience on my long haul flights. 😂😂
Sounds like he *may* have got the first security deposit back or applied to the flight he actually took otherwise the total would have been $3000 not $2500 he mentions. Still a SCAM
Wow, what a complete mess. Pay a fee to join, pay a fee to reserve your seat, pay a fee for a security deposit. Finally gets a flight, ACROSS TOWN! Definitely sounds like a scam to me. Heck, even the timeshare programs are more legit than this. 🤣🤣🤣
It’s none of those things. It’s just not super likely that you actually get one of these low cost private jet trips. These are repositioning flights that are highly variable. Basically these are flights that don’t have normal paying customers that they’re trying to fill with someone who paid for the app. There are actually a lot of people who have gotten flights without issue, it’s just not often.
When you mentioned going back to doing full flights, it absolutely dawned on me that the full flight TH-camr I used to watch was in fact YOU. A few days ago I was like “I wonder what ever happened to that full flight guy” not knowing I was still watching him.
Because that private jet was needed for a full paying customer to leave from George Bush airport. Get it yet? it's a repositioning flight, this company routinely move planes around the USA for their real business of selling private jet flights to high paying customers and are/were attempting to make money out of these repositioning flights through this app.
As a former Charter/multi aircraft owner, this app is 100% a scam. The entire setup is fraudulent.

@@GaviLazan The true comparison would be to state how much an actual ticket/flight would be on a private plane.

@@RnDinSLC huh?
@@Amer.abi2001 right, but even Noel didn't count those in his cost calculation. I'm sure he could cancel and refund most of that.
Noel you are the King of positivity despite the circumstances! If we could all take on your attitude towards what life brings our way this world would be a better place.
Just thinking. I've watched so many Noel videos. This channel has shown us all how to be understanding and patience, when things go not as planned. Thanks again Noel and family.
Thanks for exposing this scam of a company!
As SOON as you said “College Station,” i lol’ed HARD! I can’t even begin to imagine the half-assery.😂
I’ve been scammed for 50$ before and I prayed for all scammers to end up in the deepest parts of hell, you sir have been wrung up and tossed around like a ragdoll with more than 2500$ and still don’t think it’s a scam. I’m shocked and amazed about that.
He knows it's a scam of sorts. He also knows his video makes that blindingly obvious. He chose not to spell that out as he knew we'd work it out for ourselves (shame you didn't realise this)
Im shocked and amazed you think he doesnt actually know its a scam LOL silly boy
@@ady909he’s a bit slow lol
Well you might not get a #1 Priority on Vaunt but you are always #1 on my watch list on Sunday mornings before church!! Thanks for the warning about this company!! Cheers to a wonderful week ahead.
Love your TWA shirt. I was a pilot for them from 1988 to 2001 as a captain on the 727 and 767. Was a great airline.
Thank you for sacrificing so much money and time to expose what a scammy company this is.
9:49 it wasn't available because they managed to fill it with standard charter passengers.
Reminds me of those condo scams where you buy in and are supposed to get a place to stay like Orlando, but the only place available is podunk Tennessee (I'm from TN, so I can say that😊)
Hopefully the authorities will see this video and go after this company for fraud.
They definitely have some contract you have to agree to and probably says you’ll accept any changes in flights and what not

Did they at least refund that $1k "priority pass" after they cancelled the flight last minute?
of course not, he paid for a waitlist spot which means nothing lol
And the $500 sec deposit.
He didn't say whether he was refunded that $1,500.
@@fireakems8279 Lets assume (I know) that he didn't get the refund otherwise Noel would have said something.
The answer isn’t clear!
I would imagine he got the $500 deposit back. But the $995 for securing the #1 spot on the waitlist is gone - he got what he paid for, which was securing the #1 spot on the waitlist.
Was waiting for the plane to floor the brakes on the runway and say “sorry this flight is canceled”
“What can go wrong?” Oh thats so Noel
I'm just sorry Noel that you had to spend over $2500.00 just to check this Company's product out & to FINALLY get an actual flight, all be it a small quick one, to further be able to tell us that this is a bit of a scam. I appreciate your dedication to providing us "air travelers" honest assessments of flights, companies, etc. everything related to air travel so that we're well informed! You're a trooper & a "class act" thank you!
Love starting my Sunday with Noel!
Sunday ? Were do you live ?
This feels like the aviation version of a pyramid scheme
Yeah the initial list of actions in the app of how you could increase your chances are classic pyramid reqs
Impossible to post a day ago when it come today
oh yeah, how did you post this one day ago??
@@sonymendis6680He's Patreon donaters get early access to videos I think.
🤨
They’re a patreon member probably is how
Those flights are more than likely reposition/ferry flights that would otherwise just go empty. These flights are by no means guaranteed to happen, the jet companies will do everything in their power to not have to ferry/repo a plane.
So this company is basically selling the seats on their ferry flights... wild to think you took a flight and took an Uber home, lol!
I'm shocked that you didn't get the 1k back from paying to jump ahead, then the flight being canceled. Insane
You do, not sure why he didn’t mention that. It states it very clearly in the app
Lol, I walked right by you, while you were at Signature and didn't recognize you!! 😂
$2000+unusable return flight from Nashville for a maintenance flight. What a joke.
I was surprised when they didn't suggest charging for your son an additional fee.
17:58 Is that Matt Berry the actor???? I LOVE HIM, he's funny as heck!
$1000 just to go from #2 to #1 on the WAITLIST… and if you don’t get off the waitlist, your $1000 was for nothing 💀
This is just WILD
Impossible when it came out today
🤨
@@alangaming2003 I have early access to Noel’s videos
In the EU, most jurisdictions, this would certainly be very close to basic fraudulent behaviour (on the criminal side). You simply cannot charge someone 1k for „Membership“ without providing any services for that membership, even though Noel CLEARLY tried.
Agreed they should at least offer a lounge service or something if flights are that unreliable
I would not have been making such a positive vlog if they'd cancelled my flight on the way to the airport! 😡
@@ritah8415 But the "lounge" is essentially going and hanging out at the FBO - which you can do at most airports for free.
Vault probably has loopholes in very fine print in the middle of the contract that gets them out of having to provide flights. They force the users into arbitration instead of a courtroom. That's how it usually goes.
Been watching you for years that's the first video that's longer then the flight itself 😅
Actually, wrong as this is Noel's 80 sec flight and vid is 35 mins - th-cam.com/video/SJXApcNMNSY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=L8hLTSe7U7H6oR-3
The other night I had a dream where I was in a formal debate with Spongebob. The moderator was throwing some real hardball questions at me, and as I was umming and ahhing, suddenly there was a Noel Philips loo review. I'm not sure who won the debate in the end, but either way it's pretty cool that Noel takes up the same space in my brain as Spongebob Squarepants.
7:40 you have never heard about Honda Jet??😮😮😮 it is one of coolest airplanes !
I do wonder if it was this jet that crashed recently on take-off. Unfortunately, everyone apart from the pilot was killed, including the car it hit
I really hope you’ve made enough from this video to offset the $2k. It’s so interesting to see how these companies and apps work
Oh blimey! Noel you are a saint, I would ha e given up long ago.
I know right, he’s one of a kind. 😊
My guess would be that they are selling you a space on a repositioning flight. So a private client will hire the jet at full price (10s of thousands of dollars) and when that flight is done instead of flying the jet back empty to its home base or an airport for another private booking they try to make some money and fill these empty legs that why the options seem quite random and all over the place but thats only my guess.
exactly what it is.
Noel! Love what you do. Thanks for another great show.
Glad you enjoy it!
I’d have lost my 💩 with this. As someone once said, if it looks too good to be true it usually is. But thank you for warning us
It’s a video bro
The cool thing about Noel’s channel / travel content in comparison to the other tubers: he keeps it relatable for us normal people ❤
This video was the best one yet. 😂😂 Goodness! Bless you Noel and the amount of patience you have. 🙏🏼 I can only hope that I have the same patience on my long haul flights. 😂😂
I've taken many a strange flight with you Noel, but this topped all as the strangest ! I only hope you at least got your $500 "safety deposit" back !!
All i was thinking was. Would we get a loo review! And you didnt disappoint 🤣
If it's a security "deposit", shouldn't you get it back afterwards?
Sounds like he *may* have got the first security deposit back or applied to the flight he actually took otherwise the total would have been $3000 not $2500 he mentions. Still a SCAM
Wow, what a complete mess. Pay a fee to join, pay a fee to reserve your seat, pay a fee for a security deposit. Finally gets a flight, ACROSS TOWN! Definitely sounds like a scam to me. Heck, even the timeshare programs are more legit than this. 🤣🤣🤣
I'm so glad you did not let them know you were a blogger, unlike most of these stupid bloggers. Trying to get some free stuff.
Did you have any interaction with the pilots? They must hate this.
It's a scam. Very illegal. Get a lawyer and get your money back. And report them to the police.
I would start to think I’m being scammed! Your patience is second to none mate 😊
Did you get a refund for the priority fee on the cancelled flight?
Was not expecting a loo review on such a short flight 😂😂😂
You spend $1,000. There is a bit of an unexpected up charge and they cancel Midway. No it's a scam. It is 100% a scam
If something seems too good to be true, it usually is.
Two and a half grand for a ten minute flight!! Wow!! Great video!!
Is it too good to be true? It probably is lol! Thanks for stopping others making this mistake x
When you mentioned going back to doing full flights, it absolutely dawned on me that the full flight TH-camr I used to watch was in fact YOU. A few days ago I was like “I wonder what ever happened to that full flight guy” not knowing I was still watching him.
8:45 lol what a quintessential father and teen son interaction ❤
Why is there even a four minute flight in the first place
I’d imagine they sell the flights for when the plane needs to be at another airport before a proper flight
Oi, we have them in Scotland 😂
Easy...next paying customer wants to depart from an airport 4 minutes away.
Because that private jet was needed for a full paying customer to leave from George Bush airport. Get it yet? it's a repositioning flight, this company routinely move planes around the USA for their real business of selling private jet flights to high paying customers and are/were attempting to make money out of these repositioning flights through this app.
$2000 for a Houston to Houston flight? Yikes!!! App and its employees sound shady as hell.
That’s a “Buyer beware” situation.
