reaction phantom fear a match made in heaven full album metal responds metalcore whatculture - บันเทิง
One of the best vocalist in metal in my opinion.
my personal opinion, "the" best vocalist in metal
are you kidding?
Without a doubt the best metalcore singer
I have been listening to metal my whole life, and lately have been thinking the same thing. His range is insane.
The amount of emotion and how raw he pushes it is amazing. I still remember the first time I heard Architects, my only thought was "God damn. Those are some fucking raw vocals", and they never cease to do it every time.
Architects - Gone with the wind.
RIP Tom. we love you
Hey Alex, do you need to see this song, its amazing.
yes!! after Doomsday this is a must-listen!
He should also read one of the top comments that explains the story behind the song, specially the verses “a sickness with no remedy
except the ones inside of me”
Влад З yes! You will like this one
agreed, it's a dope tune
There is something so satisfying seeing a hip hop head actually appreciate metalcore. Good on you brother for having an open musical mind.
what makes him a "hip hop head"? Literally everything on his channel is metal music.
@@esidarapmot The fact that not everything on his channel is metal, if you "way" back in his channel upload history you'll see that it used to be much different reactions.
@@esidarapmot I'd imagine the part of the title that says "hip hop head"
@@esidarapmot this.. and also all of his reactions seem fake af. :/
@@Vispuful you dumb
“Souls don’t break they bend,
But I sometimes forget
I have to do this for you,
And the only way out is through.”
Chills. Every damn time.
The piano reprise version cranks that feeling up to 12, my God.
Yes I love this song so much. Rip Tom. We love you
Jason Wingate *best
Not their best, but far from their worst.
Jason Wingate he should've reacted to daybreaker
Philip Slayton what are their best songs in your opinion?
Euron Greyjoy
1. Nihilist
2. A match made in heaven
3. Doomsday
4. Naysayer
5. Gravedigger
6. Black Blood
7. Gone with the wind
8. Downfall
9. Memento Mori
10. Broken Cross
In this order
Architects - Gone With The Wind
Architects - A Match Made In Heaven
Architects - Gravity
Gravedigger?
i could've listed like 10 thought I'd limit myself to 3 :'D
Nihilist
All these and imma add nihilist, the empty hourglass and deathwish to it, and just every other architects song because yeah fuck it they are good!!!
memento mori
Fun fact: Tom (the deceased member of this band) and Dan (the drummer) were twins. Dan is playing Tom in this music video as what seems to be Tom “going to Heaven”. Amazing band, amazing song, amazing video. Thank you for your reaction!
You ain't heard emotion until you've heard the piano reprise they did for this...
Completely chilling
Architects - A Match Made In Heaven
Notice how throughout the video the band disintegrates into particles. How the drummer goes on this trip into universe representing connecting with his dead brother. Insane lyrics and visuals full of meaning and emotions. You should definitely check out the lyrics for this song.
They disintegrated because thanos snapped his fingers
Now you should do Hereafter they just released today!
Hereafter was instantly one of my favorites
I think you’re becoming a metalcore person. You should react to more Parkway Drive
Yes he should react to carrion or wild eyes or dark days or bottom feeder or ahhh , all their songs are amazing😂
@@tylerrobinsonmusic actually maybe he do some a breakdown when hearing dark days hahaha lol
@@tylerrobinsonmusic minusing 80% of their new album. That album sucked
Yeah like PWD up to Deep Blue
@@tylerrobinsonmusic carrion is soo good.
I want to recommend Architects "Gone With The Wind" the guitarist that died, wrote that song knowing he had terminal cancer and knowing that he didn't have much time left. in fact that guitarist wrote a lot of their songs.
Thats what Architects is bro, Sam puts all of the bands feelings clearly into this song and conveys it so well. That is why they are one of my favorite bands of all time. Fantastic musicians. RIP Tom.
ARCHITECTS NEW SONG CALLED HEREAFTER. GET TO IT :P
Listen to architects new song hereafter its has the perfect melodic scream and singing in it and you will probably cry from the lyrics
RIP Tom
Everytime i listen to All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us through it gets tears in my eyes. Very sad but powerful album, it's like reading last pages from Tom's (RIP) diary.
Check out "Gone With The Wind" or the tribute video of "Memento Mori"
Jetro Suo you read my soul 🙏🏽
Memento mori really makes me lose my shit. Phantom Fear and Matchmade in Heaven are my 2 favorite songs off that album
I was never really a fan of Architects from their earlier days, but I went in on 'All Our Gods...' and was blown the fuck away. I quickly realised how much they had matured and the rawness, the realness and the anger at where they had gotten to came right through. As soom as 'Nihilist' kicked in I was thinking "Shit, these boys are piiiiiissed". Hooked. And then the raw emotion of 'Doomsday'. I'll be paying attention from here on out.
It is a beautifully written album with emotion pouring out of it. I can't imagine going out on the road and playing those songs
ARCHITECHTS- GRAVEDIGGER. A must hear for fans.
"Be mindful of Death" RIP Tom
Memento mori
Yes
For sure
Check out Architect's piano rendition of this song. It hits the feels a lot harder.
I love how the artists continue to decompose throughout the song and then finally become one with the universe. There's a part which you missed in the starting of the video where a galaxy turns into an eye, and I believe that's just a wonderful portrayal of how the universe is inside of you until you dissipate and become one with the universe again. This is one hell of an immersive music video and I'm buying their entire discography after this.
Architects - Gone With The Wind is really something!
Torque house super sad song ): but I love it
Yeah its about the sickness that member had that passed away I think ? Super sad but super good.
Now try "These Colors Dont Run" next Awesome reaction DUDE
Fun fact: Tom's replacement is actually Josh Middleton, guitarist and vocalist of Sylosis who are simply fucking amazing.
And again, I plug Soilwork. Two Lives Worth of Reckoning or Rise Above the Sentiment.
Love the channel, brother. Been awesome going on this metal journey with you.
Holy fuck, man. Thanks for letting me know. Just listened to 3 top tracks on spotify of Sylosis - it's right down my alley! AWESOME!
Sylosis is incredible, they made a good choice.
I actually didn't know Josh was filling in. Explains why Sylosis has been so quiet
I had no idea Josh was filling in! Never particularly lied Architects but absolutely love Sylosis. I do have to say that this song was pretty damn good though, first time hearing it for me too.
I did not know that
Your face is 4:00 is the perfect reenactment of the exact same reaction I had during that verse. The melodic change the visuals of the video itself. It actually made me really sad. Funny how music can have such a deep emotional response that resonates with you.
Scotlandised yes!
Absolutely agree
While She Sleeps!
yeah!
yeah!
Bands with those names make me think of overly emotional songs about love and that makes me cringe
while she sleeps is metalcore , comparable with parkway drive
WeyKAse Molibdenodio i understand what you mean, i hate these emo or pussy vibes in a lot of metalcore bands, but you should give them a chance. Hurricane, Steal the sun, You are we, Settle down society or Four walls are amazing tracks you could start with
(Btw this comes from no core kid, i prefer Pagan and Death Metal)
FINALLY!!!! Please do Parkway Drive - Wishing Wells next.
Lately Architects have become one of my favourite bands. Their songs are so deep and I love the vocals. Check out Nihilist by them. One of my favourites!
Toms Račinskis YES!!! Wishing Wells!!!
Memento Mori- Architects. Prepare for some emotions.
Dude it crushed me, I had a best friend who was like a brother and he was a guitarist in a band of mine as well, he died at 18 in a car crash, and that song hit me so hard man. I love Architects so much.
Seen Architects live about 3 times, and they actually sound just as good live as they do on the records. Glad you enjoyed them!
Architects - Gone With The Wind. One of the last songs Tom released before his death. It’s basically about him knowing that he hasn’t got long left, and asking himself if he truly accomplished everything he set out to do during his lifetime.
While She Sleeps - Hurricane!!! Much love dude this my jam
Fraser Stiles ya dude , wss' you are we is full of bangers definetely should listen to these guys
Yesssss!
hell yea i think he would like While She Sleeps
Fuck yea guys how good are they! Hopefully he checks them out!
Haven't watched a reaction video in forever. Nice to see one about one of my favourite songs.
After watching the video, I am delighted to see that you like it as much as I do. Thanks for giving it the appreciation it deserves!
This song is one of the best ever made. Still tearing up until today. So many emotions, so much anger, so much grief but also hope and energy. I love them.
Anything by While She Sleeps
But yeah you need to check out Gravedigger, C.A.N.C.E.R ...hell I won't list all the songs cause Architects can't do wrong, so check out their history.
Preach!
To be honest, even fucking Heartburn is kind of amazing just because it's so damn cheesy
Some Guy e
I agree
I really think you'd like "Trivium - Sin and the Sentence", and "Cyhra - Letter to Myself" would be cool to see as well!
Tordal First time i seen someone surgest Cyhra..
Big fan of that track (Letters to myself)
Lots of real cool musicianship there..
Our boy would love that one i'm sure
Yeah, I really like Jake's vocals. Best part of Amaranthe, and with other band members from In Flames, Rhapsody, Shining, etc. then it's a pretty awesome bunch of musicians :)
Tordal
Our boy really need to do some of the old Rhapsody.
Emeral Sword, Magic of the wizards dream, Holy Thunderforce or Village of Dwarf or such..
Saw them in Copenhagen in Nov.
Was a teenage dream come true..
SortenRavn agreed. Cool! I loved Rhapsody back in the day
Sin and the Sentence or Betrayer. Gonna check out Cyhra based on this too
Man I love watching you jam out to music that I am passionate about. Thanks for the videos bro!
Architects is my favorite band and I love seeing other peoples reaction to hearing them for the first time. So happy to see this finally pop up on your channel.
Make Them Suffer - Ether
I like but I think he'll dig let me in or save yourself better but we gotta get make them suffer up there
Vengance For The VfT Could be, but I think Ether is a good song to start with because it still features some of the heavier elements of the band which he will get confronted with if he digs deeper into their catalogue...Save Yourself does no represent the band well at all in my opinion.
Alexander P. Schildknecht fair enough and ether still is a great song
Ether would be a good start for listening to MTS. Jumping in too deep might just turn him off from their music. Let him work his way to Neverbloom :D
Veil of Maya-Mikasa. This is where you will get the mix of Melodic's and the Scream that you are looking for.
I seriously come back to these old videos to listen to music now. Just love the genuine reactions. Get to feel like I'm actually listening to music I love with somebody that just gets it man. I appreciate you bro.
This is so satisfying because it’s like when you show someone the music you listen to and they actually like it. 👏🏼👏🏼 Good on you for having an open mind across genres.
These guys kick ass. It’s awesome to see a hip hop head getting into metal, and analyzing the lyrics/meaning behind the songs.
Can’t wait to see the reaction to Steel Panther 😁
Kemal T Or Meshugga..
XD
I mean, he DID survieve Slipknot and others, so boy about ready methink
Yes I think he isn't a Hip Hop head anymore
Not a fully hiphop head no..
(Now we just need to de-learn his "brah"/Brrr whatever... (Seriously, Alex, you sound like a horse.. )
C'mon BRAH! I like that he's being himself in the videos :)
I dunno...they say that once you go black, you never go back!
Arch Enemy -The Eagle Flies Alone
-The World Is Yours
when you stopped it at "souls dont break they bend" I screamed at the screen..one of my favourite lyrics.
HEREAFTER - ARCHITECTS
Come back to Architects bruh.
God yes. I’d love to see you react to some newer metalcore tracks like this one, just to add a little variation from your usual older classic metal stuff.
About 90% of my Spotify playlist is Metalcore. The rest is other types of Metal.
Isaac Duplantis I grew up listening to stuff like pantera, Alice In Chains Black Sabbath. I have a strong appreciation for classics. I it’s also love newer styles of metal like architects style metalcore
Noah Big scooter I also love the classics but Metalcore bands like As I Lay Dying, Bury Tomorrow, Killswitch Engage make me go nuts.
Thy Art Is Murder - Holy War
Mack Costin Love this song
I'm glad I checked this video out. I've never heard of this band, I have to say the video and song were just simply awesome!!
You're so wholesome dude. I'm really glad you enjoyed one of my favourite all time songs from my favourite band, these guys deserve the love. RIP Tom
Thy Art Is Murder - Reign of Darkness
Valz Ron Holy War is way better
Valz Ron dude let me tell ya... u have nice knees bro
Tiago Francisco man I was walking down the street... then I saw you and I was like “dammmmmmmmmmmmn that person has some nice knees”
Also Reign of Darkness isn’t bad, but I’d say Holy Wars is better
ahah x) right into it xD
Periphery- Scarlett
Thanks for reacting to this and introducing me to these guys. They're unbelievable. 🔥✌
Seeing your reaction to this was my exact reaction upon first hearing this song, such a beautiful song.
Definitely one of the best metalcore band out there today. I've never given these guys much of a chance (don't know why) but got told that their live shows are on another level and life changing?
Also their lyrics are meaningful and not about the typical angst/relationship issues. Plus musically impressive. With all these progressive elements.
I'll have to give them a proper listen
Max Lastockin I saw them three times ans they disappointed every single time...
Really wantes to like them... but I was just so disappointed
I'm sorry but there are way better Metalcore bands active today. Architects is just another clean, over produced, Warp Tour Metalcore band out to cash in on underground music. The positives I see are the progressive elements make this song slightly more interesting and they are probably a good gateway to heavier music. Check out Code Orange, Integrity, Converge, xElegyx, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Between The Buried and Me. These are doing way more to move this genre forward as well as respecting the roots of Metalcore which is the combination of Metal and Hardcore Punk. Code Orange puts on insane live performances that will not disappoint!
Obitvary I should have said one of the best sorry. And I don't know I wouldn't necessarily call some of the bands you've listed as metalcore. Not to start the whole subgenre debate or anything. I'm familiar with btbam and dillinger. They're more on a technical/progressive side which is cool.
As far as metalcore goes I haven't really been keeping up with it as much, mostly coz stuff I keep running into only consists of breakdowns every few bars and very cheesy generic lyrics. But I'll give those other bands a listen that you've mentioned :) thanks
Obitvary
...and that's why they refer to themselves as post-metalcore.
Max Lastockin I must concede on that point. Architects is one of the few bands of which I can say I love every single album through and through (from hollow crown onwards). Deep lyrics on topics that leave most bands in the dust. And their live show... I went alone as nobody else was interested and was blown away. The audience was ecstatic and the connection between band-audience was unbelievably powerful. If you ever get the chance, go see them live at the very least.
Architects- Memento Mori
Grant Bowers yaaaaas
Dude give ERRA a shot you might like them. I would start with Drift or Skyline.
How about Signal Fire or Breach off the new album
ghost of nothing
sean causey breach is top-tier!
Nooo he needs to listen to dementia
JT erra is the best erra

Bro...You and me would be really good friends. That list is legit.
Damn what a shitty list
'A Match Made In Heaven', 'Gravedigger', or 'Naysayer'. Blegh! Also, Solitaris - 'Deviance'. Enjoy.
Architects is one of my absolutely favourite bands. I love this song DOOMSDAY! Feelings pure.
I gotta admit. I only clicked for architects, but this guy is so wholesome and down to earth I had to subscribe. Good job dude
Man, this band is telling my storie. I lost my mom 2 Years ago because cancer and this band make a song for fight this shit. Architect is so emotional and see you feel this emotions, is just beautiful. Stay true man ! Music is universal !
A Metalhead.
Architects have some of the best lyrics in the game today!! Check out, these colors don’t run, nihilist and broken cross. The song gone with the wind was written by Tom so the lyrics really hit deep
Another similar song you should definately check out is Stick To Your Guns - Married To The Noise
Nelsun or left you behind. That song has so much meaning to it.
I love this song I always get chills when I listen to it, it reminds me my mother who passed away, I love Sam's vocals with so much emotion and passion!!
was part of the crowd for the first time they ever played it live, and it was so emotionally driven, was so beautiful and powerful.
If you like this genre of music called metalcore that mixes screaming and clean vocals then you should definitely listen to
While She Sleeps - Hurricane... Silence Speaks... Empire of Silence ... or
The Amity Affliction - Pittsburg... or stay with Architects and listen to
Architects - Gravity ... Gone with the wind
These colors dont run is also pretty sick from architects with the video
FINALLY! Other great songs with a message behind them by Architects are These Colours Don't Run, Gravedigger, Devil's Island. Give some of those a listen!
First time one ever seen any of your videos mate, got to say, I truly truly love seeing the reaction to this amazing song from somebody who generally resides outside of the genre.
Good stuff brother!
Blegh
Indeed
Royal Bleghgers
B L E G H
i suggest Avatar - Bloody Angel, Enter Shikari - Arguing With Thermometers and Demon Hunter
Arch Enemy- War Eternal( Live at Wacken)
Architects are absolutely amazing. The guitar work, the drumming, and the bass all coincide perfectly well with the vocals, yet they stand out from each other in their unique way. Architects is incredibly talented with incorporating their creativity. Plus there is just so much meaning and depth behind each and every song. Broken Cross and A Match Made In Heaven are two songs that should be first and foremost on your list of future reaction videos 🤘
Fuck yeah, dude! I have never seen a more EXACT reaction to how I felt first finding Architects. Looove them. ❤️
Oh man, I remember when Tom died. It was such a sad day. But Architects are freaking amazing! Glad you liked them too! Another of mine favourites by Architects is "Dead Man Talking". And another band you absolutely much check out is AVATAR! Dude, you will love them! Their latest video is called "The king welcomes you to Avatar Country"
MrBruce r.i.p ):
Yeah i saw them in Atlanta in March and a bunch of fans had a WeLoveYouTom banner and I swear Sams voice choked up during doomsday...
MrBruce it was my birthday...
I remembered that day too. It was really shocking.
The Ghost Inside - White Light
It's a song basically about the same topic and it's even more emotional
you must do Royal Beggars or Hereafter from Architects !
I just love your expression when the singer starts with those clean vocals XD "Remember when Hell had frozen over?"
The amity affliction - pittsburgh please 🤘
Tobias Wolfrum open letter though
Daniël Willems every song tbh :D
Greens Avenue, Rip Bon, Chasing Ghosts \m/
Yesssss, fight my regret
Yas, please!!! I freaking love this song!!!!
Bro you have to do either Gone With the Wind or A Match Made In Heaven
I’ve seen a couple comments referring to the piano version... definitely a must listen, but Choir Noir put out a full choir cover of “Doomsday” that I find hits right in the feels with the emotion behind the lyrics. Check it out... you won’t regret it.
Came here just to say that..
The guy making the "trip" during the video is Tom´s twin brother, Dan. That still makes me cry when i think about the vision Tom had about death. Awesome touch of them.
Eluveitie - Rebirth!
Ye
I thought I was the only one who listened to this band lol
Fred Leparski Nope eluveitie Is quite popular here in germany^^ I've seen them 7 times so far and they play on the biggest stage of Wacken and Summer Breeze everytime they get there :D
Fenris I honestly had no idea!! I'm happy for that there extremely talented I'm in the United States that's probably why I don't hear many people talk about them
Tom :( glad you did Architects though they're amazing. I love that you can feel everything that Sam is singing. He's one of the best vocalists of our generation imo
Have have you not reacted to the Piano Reprise version of this?! Knowing the background while soaking up that version will bring a tear to your eye!
I love this band so much. I have seen them five times in total and every concert is a blast. They kick some serious ass.
I have such huge respect for them to continue what they love doing after Tom passed, so that he is remembered and honored. Rest in peace Tom, we all love you and my outmost respect for Dan. Stay true!!!
Awesome content as always, Alex! You seem really genuine and you are my favorite reaction channel by far! As I stated in a previous video, consider reacting to Silent Planet (Panic Room), Fire from the Gods (Excuse me), Avatar (Bloody Angel), Beartooth (The Lines), Mastodon (Blood & Thunder), Code Orange (Forever) and Meshuggah (Bleed)!
Cheers from France!
Yesss...CODE ORANGE - FOREVER
Have you checked out Knocked Loose? So heavy!
Knocked loose are fucking brutal, man! Counting worms is the heaviest shit I've heard in a while!
Alex would lose his mind if he saw Knocked Loose's video for "Billy No Mates // Counting Worms" hahaha!
He totally would! Let's bring those songs to the top!
One of the best songs released in 2017. My personal best is
TRIVIUM - THE SIN AND THE SENTENCE
YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED MY DUDE
I've grown up my whole life listening to metalcore and post-hardcore, with my first band I was addicted to was The Devil Wears Prada when I was about 6-7 (I had influences in my life that got me hooked to heavy music very early). I'm now 19 and produce ambient and atmospheric hip hop and r&b, but nothing can ever replace some of the insane feelings that these bands give. Architects is one of my most favorite bands of all time, RIP Tom and thanks for being such a huge inspiration, and shoutout to you for being an open minded person like myself and some others and learning to appreciate multiple genres.
This mammoth Song is just pure Architects, through and through. The rhythms, the tempo, the smooth layers of heavy and melodic guitars,
the technical instrumental parts that recall their early records, the polished sonics, their atmospheric sensibilities and powerful sense of impact, Sam Carter’s stronger emphasis on clean singing, and the generally solid, well-written nature of the piece.
‘Doomsday‘ is not only a great song - both by the standards of Architects and their genre - but it carries so much more weight due to its immense personal meaning to the band. It’s a composition that Tom started writing but never got to actually finish, and I think that the band has done a wonderful job of not only completing it but in also honoring their fallen guitarist at the same time.
Sorry Alex I'm gonna have to spam you with A Little Piece of Heaven by Avenged Sevenfold requests to react with your GF. That would be top notch content ;D
Definitely Agree!
too true bro....it would be a fun one to see
Can’t do any prior research tho haha
Broken Cross and These Colours Don't Run are two fantastic songs by Architects, you should definitely react to those!
I love love love the concept of this song because it’s Tom practically becoming a star or supernova it’s just so beautiful & such a great way to remember their brother
Damn Alex i absolutely love watching your journey for becoming a Metalhead 🤘
Keep going , Just awesome
Architects-Gravity
Jorge Aguilar Guevara I'm in the music video for that :D
FIRES OF THE GODS - EXCUSE ME
BLoodyfang213 #tune
Fire From The Gods**
It would also be cool if you reacted to Silence Speaks by While she sleeps ft oliver Sykes
Loys that song is amazing
Your open mindedness is a breath of fresh air. Most people wouldnt look at a song like this twice.
Upon A Burning Body - Texas Blood Money
Brandon Korous till the break of dawn
And still suggesting All that Remains - This Calling or Some of the people, all of the time xD
Similar style to Architects. What you like (Mix between screaming and singing) is mostly found in Metalcore like this one, All that Remains, Bullet for my Valentine, Threat Signal etc....
Two Weeks is another excellent one
Six is also a good one
All that remains is awesome
BFMV is not metalcore at all lol
What is BFMV then? Nu-Metal? Power-Metal?
I love your reaction videos i wish more people gave metal a chance
Props to you for reaching outside your preferred music style to give other stuff a shot. Hope you find a lot of stuff you like!
