That home feeling, my theory is that this is what metal is for. It's soul food whereas pop etc is eye and ear candy. Metal invokes deep shit within us. That's why there's so many genres. To get a sense of the primal, deeeeeep ancientness within us, I suggest folk metal; Eluveitie, Korpiklaani, Omnia to name a few.

Trivium is brilliant. The singer Matt was smiling at us the whole concert, especially while singing this song. They are so kind, nice and intelligent. Not mentoining the music...excellent!! And you should check out Thrown into the fire!! Brilliant ass kicking song.

Metal is the greatest thing on the face of the earth. It pulls emotions out of you that you didnt even know existed and that is why you cant put it into words. Its so powerful. Metal changed my life and I will forever be amazed at how passionate the connection between the music and people is. Both trivium and parkway drive are some of my favorite bands and I wouldnt be the person I am today had I not discovered their material. Props to you for joining the metal community. React to "the river" by parkway drive. Its one of the most meaningful songs to me and I think you would enjoy it. Keep listening man! It will change your life!
It's actually been proven that people who listen to metal and hard rock are able to cope with negative emotions easier than people who listen to pop or country. I don't know about certain rap subgenres but hard rock and metal does give some people a deep sense of belonging, acceptance, and even the ability to cope with dark memories better than they did in the past.
Hearing this song makes me happy that Trivium found a great drummer. He adds so much to what was missing for me no the latest Trivium albums.

I've been a fan of Trivium since 2009, when my friend introduced me to "Throes of Perdition" and I instantly fell in love with them. This energy they deliver through their music is something beyond understanding. Btw, if you want to react to another Trivium song - check out "Throes of Perdition" or "In Waves'', both songs are freaking awesome.

Trivium are one of the most awesome and underrated bands out there!! Their new album Sin and the sentence is the best album they've had since the Shogun record 10 years ago and they are better live than ever!!! Stoked to see them live for the 5th time in July with the amazing Fit For An Autopsy. Trivium never gets old!!!

Austin Dotson idk about underrated. They've achieved a lot of recognition and good ratings for an American metal band out of the 2000s.
...that being said, I think Shogun is a little underrated. It should be required listening for any metal fan. Not something to be skipped over.

I watched your Anthem reaction right before this one. I've never actually heard the two songs back to back and it really showed how much the band has gotten more and more proficient with their instruments as time has gone on. Even if every album isn't better than the last, they themselves have done what they want to do better and better each time
Alex Bent (drummer) is amazing bro! Those drumming triplets and fills all throughout the song remind me of Alex Van Halen (drummer for Van Halen) and even some of Carter Beuford's more jazzy approach (drummer for Dave Matthews Band) But I loved this. I love, love, love a song that's driven by the rhythm section! Great reaction!

Betrayer is great. Their new album is the best they've had i a while. Alex Bent (Drummer) has brought then to the next level, hopefully they keep him around. I think he is their 4th drummer. lol
I see a lot of people commenting "Trivium - In Waves". Please if you're going to react to "In Waves", you HAVE TO hear it together with "Capsizing the Sea". Those songs belong together. You would be doing Trivium a big disservice if you only heard "part 2" of a masterpiece.

Hey, I just discovered your channel. This is the first video I'm watching and I just want to say thank you. You're such a sympathetic guy. I'm a "metalhead" myself.. to see and hear someone like a "hip-hop head" say so much positive things about metal is awesome. It shows that you don't have to love or even like that kind of music to show resepct for the artistic achievement of a metal band or the other way round for a hip-hop artist.

Yes. Thank you to whoever recommended this song. I absolutely adore this channel even though I'm aware I'm seeing some of these videos years after Alex reviewed them. I'm a lifelong metalhead who's been in this genre for over 30 years. Some of these reaction videos are nostalgic and it feels like sharing Metal I grew up with with my little brother or something. But some of these are bands and songs I dismissed when they came out or didn't have time or the access to listen to. Trivium is one of those bands and this song was awesome and metal as hell and up there with Amon Amarth and Lamb of God as one of the best bands I've been turned on to thanks to this channel. So, thanks to whoever suggested this. More Trivium please.

I am a MASSIVE Trivium fan and I'd love nothing more than to tell you all about them and their story.
Each album has a different sound to it and different style, but they all still sound like Trivium.
My favorite songs are:
1) Throes of perdition.
2) The sin and the sentence.
3) Like Light to the flies, maybe? Mostly for sentimental reasons.

Alex Bent is the newest addition to the lineup, he absolutely kills it on drums. One of the best i’ve heard. He actually does playthroughs of their songs on youtube as well. Definently worth checking out, just to see how much of a monster he actually is. Every album has a minor difference in sound(the sin and the sentence went way different from their last album.) its worth seeing just how good of musicians they are, i’d check out either until the world goes cold, or strife, maybe even down from the sky to see just how different they can be.

Name of the songs are: Kirisute Gomen, Down from The Sky, Thores of Perdition and THE MIGHTY Shogun (same name as the album). I'm begging you check those songs out and make reaction to them. I prefer In Waves. But shogun is good too. 4 me, In Waves is the best album of them. Very balanced songs in there. Shogun is almost like screams everywhere. Its good to me, but lacks melody a bit.

Feeling the same vibes as you bro, that drummer man!!!! You just cant help but utter some noise at that beautiful percussion! They've been one of my favs since 2005 and the new drummer just puts them on musical steroids!!
Now is the best time ever to learn guitar man. Thousands of channels on TH-cam alone will point you in the right direction. I've been playing 16 years and still so happy I started. The way metal makes you feel home is even greater when you're creating it with your own hands. It's a slow process in the beginning..but worth it!
The feeling you've got is what metal is about, they speak the truth about the different problems that you can get as a person, or the world's problem. I strongly recommend you to listen to Stick to your guns, you can find yourself in every on their songs, their music litteraly saved me when I was in depression.
