I love seeing other people react to the depth that avatar puts into their lyrics and music. They put such thought into their music videos, whether to make it amusing or to make you really think. Also Johannes has such an amazing and versatile voice that works so well with whatever direction they decide to take and just l, ugh, I *love* avatar and I love seeing other people love them too

I saw Avatar last Saturday at Download Festival. The guitarist had a killer entrance. Lifted easily 30 foot in the air on a throne above the singer who was stood at a podium. It was absolutely insane :') When you start attending metal shows, ensure Avatar is one that you go and see. You'll never see a frontman quite like him.
Absolutely agree they are amazing live. From Kungens entrance (lead guitarist) and to Johannes (vocalist) they are amazing.
I have the opinium that Johannes is the best frontman human kind have seen since Freddie Mercury.

I'm obsessed with Avatar rn because they're dropping a new album on August and I'm so hyped! So I rewatched this and realised this video will be 2 years old soon so we should definitely celebrate with more Avatar! Their new song Silence in the Age of Apes is amazing but honestly, anything from them is great!

Heard of this band A while back, but never gave them any attention. But after watching this, I stumbled across the Wacken live performance, and now I'm a huge fan. So many awesome songs, not to mention their live performance is incredible. So much energy. It's impossible not to headbang along with them.

One of the best young bands out there, without any doubt.
I mean...they're not that young. They've been around since 2001.
I know :) But they're still a young band in the way that not every metalhead knows them, even by name, they still have plenty of room to grow bigger.
The song that led me to fall in love with Avatar... Now they are one of my favourite bands!
And this song is a perfect example of a lie "Only hiphop dares to touch topics that now other genres don't." :D

That was the first Avatar song I ever heard, on a random metal playlist on TH-cam. I was actually like, WTF is this? Not super impressed at first, but I heard some other stuff, hear The King Wants You a couple more times, and know it's growing on me. I can't believe how different it is from their old stuff, but I'm digging the old and the new. Just took some time, kinda like Ghost.
Right after I read that I literally pointed at by brother and went, “ThE KiNg WaNtS You!”.

I knew nothing about Avatar when I saw them open for Trivium back in 2018 (or somewhere in there). I fell in love immediately, especially with this song. They are insanely talented.

Avatar is one of my favorite bands right now. Night Never Ending, The Eagle Has Landed, New Land, Torn Apart, Let It Burn, and Hail the Apocalypse are some other great songs by them to put on the list.

I just came across this band about the same time as you. I LOVE IT!
They can put on one hell of a show and are the best live band I have seen to date. The first time I saw them they headlined a smaller venue and rocked the hell out of a stage they barely fit on. The second time seeing them was a larger outdoor venue and they performed before two popular bands, but the majority only came out to see Avatar and the band after them - not the headliner.
