People say that to me all the time, "Why do you listen to metal, you can't understand them".. I tell them you eventually learn an ear for being able to understand what they're saying, but sometimes it doesn't matter. Sometimes what's important is how it makes you feel while listening to it. I never knew that quote existed.

Yo Alex, Architects lost their Guitarist to cancer before this album came out, the entire thing is crammed with emotion, it's somber yet incredible. Love the reaction.
This is the only song I've heard of theirs and I didn't really like it, not a fan of his voice don't know if it's too high pitched or what, also don't like that kind of scream just annoys me, I love Death Metal and some Deathcore is cool, but can't get into Metalcore something about the way they scream just really bugs me for some reason, there's some exceptions like Killswitch Engage, but for the most part hate that subgenre.
@@Werewolf914 tastes are different. Try some (older) Parkway Drive if you haven`t already. Their vocals are damn good. (though it still is a matter of taste of course)

The Ghost Inside they’re a great band who went through a terrible accident and are still trying to play! And any of their songs are great but ENGINE 45 is an amazing video too
YES! I only started listening to them about 9 months ago, but they are such a great band. I hope they get back to making music soon. I think my favorite is Avalanche, but Engine 45 is such a dope song. I also really like Dear Youth. It's not as heavy, but I really like the lyrics.

My dad passed away in December. This album became my emotional rock. Dude I’m so glad you are reacting to this band This song touched me so much I got a bird in a cage tattooed on my arm cause grief is a lot like that line. It’s the feeling of being locked in it and hoping you can escape from it all.

Hef you’ve got my fave reactions. Because your HEAR the music instead of just listen to the noise that can be rock/metal. Digging in to meaningful lyrics is key with a lot of these songs and you do a great job.

Honestly there isn't a better metalcore band out there right now than Architects. They honestly check all the boxes in making a really great all-around metalcore song. He has very clear screams too, which are really accessible because you can honestly understand everything he's saying (which is huge because what he's saying is important!).

The vast majority are going to disagree with you though, Architects are blowing up for a reason while Crystal Lake is practically unheard of, and As I Lay Dying is struggling to even get venues after the novelty of having an attempted-murder in the band wore off. You need to see Architects live! I saw them in London in January and it was genuinely the best day of my life, been to a couple of concerts, and theirs topped them all in a heartbeat! So much emotion, so damn good live, talented beyond belief!

At first I was just hearing the guitar riffs and extremely interested knowing who the band is being played and searched them and found a true gem of music and musicians.
