I feel the guy knew what he was getting into in the first place. From the first episode he said “He thought it was Alliance” after he found out it was alliance what did he do ? Why didn’t he request for a refund? Why is he asking for bonus instead of refund ? Am sorry if I sound somehow but I feel he is looking for excuses and nothing more.

@@thesociomag He knows the products cover for his registration hence he can't request for a refund. He is particular about bonus because what he was expecting is an AUTOMATIC MONEY MAKING INVESTMENT where he will only pay SERVICE CHARGE and the bonus will keep coming forgetting that SOMEONE SOMEWHERE must have worked (join the AIM GLOBAL) to generate the bonus he's collecting. Mind you, WSD also tricked him to believe he does not need to work before collecting his bonus that they (WSD) will do the work for him. i pity him because he should know better by his level of knowledge and years in business corridor. HE MUST HAVE SWALLOWED THOSE INFORMATION OUT OF DESPERATION AND FRUSTRATION TO GET OUT DEBTS OF HIS FAILED BUSINESSES.

Soji obviously made his mistakes but I feel Judge Funmi did not understand his point. The main issue is that WSD is collecting monthly service charges from them to do the work of bringing the referrals/new partners (as required by Alliance) for them. And that was the basis of WSD guaranteeing them monthly income. WSD failed to do their work and Alliance did not, in turn, pay Soji his bonus. Sadly, her honour has ruled.
All networking schemes are the same everywhere. They do not mean well. They are out there to use their prey to climb the ladder. My advice, when you hear anything multi-level marketing is RUN!, RUN!!, RUN!!!

Misleading selling can include things like:
Giving you wrong information about the product or service.
Giving you the wrong advice about what product would be best for you.
Wrongly saying you need to buy extra things to make the most of your product.
keeping important information about the product or service hidden or obscured.

A lot of you guys here are getting it wrong.
Soji didn't get the investment strategy, and sadly he wasn't told everything. Hence they want you in so you want be told everything.
You paid money and you were given some items and you didn't ask questions (greed).
You made the first payment, did a second and a third.
You didn't request for their terms and conditions. Instead you were only concerned for what his bonus, you didn't ask how the money will come.
The big guy created an marketing organization to do the supposed jobs of the investors to be qualified for their bonuses (essence of the service charge). The service charge goes to him and his marketing team, nothing goes to the company that pays Soji. It's his way of making more money and also getting his entitled bonuses.
Soji problems were lack of understanding due to desperation (trying to get money so as to clear his debt), greed, lack of logically and critical reason, and some other factors.
With the comments I see here, sadly lots of Nigerians will keep on falling for things like this because we are not taught critical reasoning in school or trained. We are too narrow and direct with our thinking.

I'm just seeing your comment.. This whole thing is very simple. I'm glad you mentioned the Service Charge, the money is for WSD to run ads and bring in more people/partners on behalf of the investor (Soji) and if you claim that nothing goes to Alliance, how come soji received payment from Alliance the first two months or three..? The plaintiff and defendant admitted that the payments received by soji was from Alliance, not from WSD which means Alliance was aware of soji partnership. Now my point is if WSD mandate partners to pay certain amount to bring in people on their behalf then soji doesn't need to go out there to do the same job he paid service charge for. The court should have prosecuted the WSD Guy for his failure to fulfill his part of the agreement since soji has been paying his service charge accordingly. I think the product he bought qualified him for the first payment he received and the service charge qualify him for other subsequent payments. The WSD failed on their part and that's why Alliance didn't pay soji.

It's a simple scam but the judge didn't understand it and Soji wasn't helping her to with his impatience and shouting.
WSD simply found a way to manipulate Alliance to make some money.
It's very simple, Soji joined Alliance through WSD, WSD promised to always register new people under Soji every month so that Soji will always get referral bonus from Alliance, then Soji will give them their share in the name of service charge.
That's why Soji got the bonus for first 2 months without referring anyone but unfortunately, WSD didn't register anymore person under Soji, so the bonus from Alliance stops.

I must disagree with the judge. The duty of the claimant under the arrangement is to pay service charge.. the defendant didn't tell claimant that a scenario could arise that payment may fail even upon payment of service charge.. it was like a guarantee of momthly payment given by the defendant to the claimant. Judgment was unfair

This is a perfect example of "The law is like a mule, whoever can ride it best will win the case." So I could not establish to the court that he was received into thinking he was making an investment which would give a monthly return. Rather, his opponent's lawyer was able to convict e the court that Soji knew all along what he was getting into but wanted more, and they won.
Lesson: Before you take a person to court make sure that you are not only able to clearly present your case without emotions but also provide evidence to back your claims

  • @johnomesili7672
    @johnomesili7672 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

This was my most anticipated. I must say, the ruling was disappointing. While Mr. Soji is aggrieved, the company could not deny that they did not print the Flyer presented by Mr. Soji. The content of the flyer clearly stated WSD was an investment Company. I expected my Lord to direct WSD to live up to its agreement and pay Mr. Soji or seek a renegotiation of the Terms.
If I am enticed to buy a Car from a Dealer who provides me a documented contract with a 1-year Warranty and the Manufacturer goes out of business. Does that foreclose my contract with the Dealer? My warranty was with the Dealer and not the Manufacturer. WSD is the Dealer and Alliance is the Manufacturer. Law should be like Maths. #thejusticecourt This ruling get as e be oh

    • @princeakanmu23
      @princeakanmu23 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Unfortunately Law is not like mathematics (LOL). The ruling can't be wrong. The flyer only mislead him (if you want to see it as misleading. Because it can be argued in a lot of ways) to attend the seminar and not to purchase the products. I understand the pain of the plaintiff because he had high expectations but the judgement was very correct.

    Your honor Ma,
I have said it before at last episode. Any MLM that has given you product that equates your money is as good as you buying the products which of course you know you cannot even consume the product alone. You were even expected to sell and get your money back or even more than the worth of your moo.
The bonuses are the extra Jara in this matter and this extra might come or not depending on whether there are people to buy otherwise the plaintiff should go and get people so his bonus can be paid. I am talking from experience, that is how MLM runs.

Some of you are saying judge Funmi didn't judge it well but you are dead wrong. There is nothing judge Funmi could do than to discharge the case. The guy agreed that he was being paid some money. Yes there might be strategy to lure him into the business which judge Funmi knows but those guys outsmart Soji with facts and figures. Judge Funmi is wise. That she didn't judge the case in your own way doesn't mean she is wrong. Apart from this, Soji was desperate so he failed to understand the whole thing. He was looking for quick way to get the money hence his mind failed to pick details. They really outsmart him with documented books. There is no court he will go that he we win. At least the business people didn't run away. It shows they run a legitimate business, only that they use style to lure people into it. He was paid some money which he testified to. What of those who collect people's money and disappear? I believe he will get his bonus if he can follow the terms. Judge Funmi didn't judge wrongly by dismissing the case.

What do you expect from the Judge?. Soji didn't signed any agreement or contract. Soji only fill a data form. Soji didn't understand the business his getting into . Soji calculated his future life returns without understanding the possibility. The same company works with Alliance . There is no contract signed by both parties to his claim of monthly payment ; they were just he said and I he said.
Sojii knows about Alliances but wanted more that's why he opted for this scammers.
No contract signed ; No evidence;this case won't have weight to help the Judge to help him on this.
The Judge need Soji to be to establish his facts with evidence.
All this guys are smart. Always take time to read terms and conditions. Always ensure you sign a contract not a data form.
No wonder Soji lawyer left the case because it has no bases.

This is a very simple case and I commend judge Fumi for her judgement.
As individuals we should question anything that is too good to be true and I hate it when people feign ignorance.
    1. The portal you collect your bonus is Allianze global website
    2. The product you received is from Allianze boldly spelt out.
    3. The explanation at the seminar clearly shows it’s a networking business that’s can’t exist on its own without paring other people.
    4. The product you received is more like an insurance incase you choose not to push the business further or it becomes unfavorable it won’t be a total loss on your side.
    5. The defender is only a team leader and yes they have sugar coated tongues but Soji can’t claim he is not aware of the business blueprints.
    6. The service fee you are paying is for ads and and mobilization of prospective new members to the platform which is what is supposed to be your core function as a member. But it’s still still not possible that every month they would be new members.
Even in your personal business do you make profit every month?
I joined Allianze global Jan 2022 with the highest package 750k and instantly i was given a product of the equivalent. I thought I could handle the business because I live outside Nigeria but I failed woefully I am still searching for two people till date. Do I feel sad yes but I can’t hold the person that introduced responsible because I understood what I was joining. My 2 cent

I am so disappointed, I thought people in Nigeria without a voice can actually get justice through this court. I feel sorry for soji. The issue here is that, WSD was meant to do the work of bringing people and pay investors monthly money. The evidence from soji clearly support this, the lawyer also confirmed this when he said investors are paid based on the company’s performance.
WSD is different from Alliance, with different ways of operation. The fact that Soji was paid 3 times without bringing anyone is a proof that WSD was not operating as a multilevel marketing payment system when Soji invested. Not sure why judge Funmi kept talking about alliance and multilevel marketing. He was scammed.
