Justice court we need to have a new Judge this judge is very biased when it comes to domestic violence, men also suffer domestic violence she's very biased, we need a new judge ,a judge that would be fair in cases of domestic violence between a man and a woman.

When Motunrayo conspired with Landlord to lie against this man, Police wanted to charge the man to court.
But when evidence surfaced that the lady was the one assaulting, law officers didn't continue with court again.
This is one of the factors encouraging some ladies to continue to be violent, and promoting some men to take laws into their hands

As much as I like Judge Funmi, she took side of the lady and treated the guy as if his emotion and life don't matter. Domestic abuse doesn't necessarily need to be physical, emotional and mental abuse are real. But she cares not... waiting for her conclusion.

Im afraid, that us not to be said about countries outside the UK. Having said that, Judge Funmi is raising standards and consistency in her court. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

It's obvious the man is suffering from domestic violence, the body language of the lady says it all. The judgment shouldn't be biased as it's looking like it will be already. If it was the woman that suffered the violence, it wouldn't have been this calm.
They do not want to be together, there isn't a need for the back and forth. An agreement should be made on the well fare of the children as the man is ready to do his duty.
The judge usually doesn’t consider domestic violence as immediate grounds for separation. She is pro marriage and usually encourages counselling, regardless of the man or woman as the abused.
I hope with the recent case of the singer that passed on, she will change this practice.

This is an interesting case. I’ve watched this part one to the end, and I believe the man. I am a woman, old enough to be their parents. The girl’s body language says it all. The judge seems to have forgotten that the man was on the verge of doing the traditional rites before she gave birth. If the situation was reversed, we would be telling the girl not to go through the wedding since she was already being physically abused. The fact that the girl is the o e doing the abuse does not make it right. I would not allow my son to marry a girl that is so wild and violent just as I would not condone my daughter marrying an abusive man. The judge should pls note all the man has said about her violence and abuse. Very important.

So far, the guy seems to narrate his side of the story eloquently, and by reading the plaintiff body language, she could be a violent person as the defendant claimed.. Throughout the minutes the defendant been pointing out the physical abuses from the lady, judge funmi didn’t ask the lady if those allegation was true but immediately the lady said the guy hits her, judge funmi emphasised on that.. It should be gender equality right? and we say no to any form of domestic violence. I’ve just read through other comments. Judge Funmi is veering towards bias against the man. After all the narration of violence from the girl, all Judge Funmi seems interested in is how they would be deemed to be married because they have children together. Be fair to men, too. Not all men are bad. I noticed this bias with another couple sometimes back. Pls, be fair to both sides. Why should he give her upkeep for the children if he is denied access to them? He has rights to them too. Can’t wait to see Judge Funmi’s judgment.

The man mentioned several times that the woman violently attacked and abused him but got no reaction from the judge, but responded instantly when the woman said the man hit and abused her. It's not every marriage issues that can be settled, some people are better living apart. The case of the late osinachi is really an eye opener, the court should please look into this. The only thing they should be discussing is how they can co- parent peacefully, cos judging from both parties narration they are both very violent and abusive individual, which is a recipe for disaster, they both have no business living together
You’re actually right. I feel they should be separated and co-parent. They also need therapy, there are some unhealed past that need to be addressed. Even the stress of Lagos and the economy is another trigger.

This is so unfortunate. On this one, at least the little reaction from Judge Funmi shows she's going to side with the lady. That's unfair. The question of what right he has over her because he didn't pay dowry on her head is neither here nor there. She didn't say she was kidnapped and neither did she mentioned she was raped. Its obvious the lady is violent. Well, we wait to see how it ends.
Thank you. It also wasn't a case of the man raping the lady for the conception and delivery of the twins. Both are adults and consented to having the mutual sexual intercourse. This one today is just an unfair matter. The lady is DEFINITELY A VIOLENT PERSON. The man kept mentioning names for verification just to prove the innocence but the lady kept coming up with all sorts just to defend herself.

I follow judge Funmi always, I'm a afraid she has failed to yield this. That lady is obviously violent looking at her countenance and the manner the man narrates. Judge funmi raised and sentimental, she immediately start trying to verify domestic violence when the lady mentioned but nothing after all the instances the man has narrated. Besides, asking to the plaintiff who had earlier open and established her case to comment again after the defendant without any remark or notes from the judge is given the plaintiff and unfair advantage.

A lot of people don't know men are more abused both physically, emotionally and psychologically than women but men are naturally silent because the ego of men makes them to be quiet and the world will not see it but when women are hit they start shouting domestic abuse, domestic abuse isn't about women it's about the both genders, what I noticed is that the attitude of the wife was nurtured by her mother right from childhood due to excessive so called love that some mothers think they have for there kids, and that attitude follows them outside and affects them from successfully remaining married.

This judgement doesn't go down well. When a woman hits a man, she did it out of annoyance and jealousy but when same happens from a man, it is domestic violence. The society laughs when a man comes out to say that a woman force herself on him but they give jungle justice to a man accused of rape.
I am sad to say I am a victim of abuse. Wen my wife slaps me multiple times, locks and tore my clothes, bites me with blood coming out, and still locks the door to avoid me going out to cool off my head, the society sees it as nothing. But the day I decided not to be the sheep as she's taking me for a fool and I slapped her once, I was tagged a woman beater and should be treated as a criminal. Both of them were violent to each other. They both also exaggerated their account of events, reason for the "smiles" when the other partner was talking.
However, for me, once a woman leaves with your children, just leave her alone. the stress is not worth it eventually. Children that grow with you under your roof can be turned against you by their mother if she wants to, let alone the ones an angry mother took away. All she just wants is to be collecting money from you. give her what can afford and consider it one of your losses in life, and as difficult as it is, move on, and be better to yourself and to the next person that comes to your life. Afterwards they want you to be an uninvolved involved father, which to me, is asking for the impossible because there is hardly a way a man can truly be involved in a child you don't know her day to activities and not really responsible for the decisions about her.

This is the very first time I am disappointed at Judge Funmi's judgment, everything the man pointed out was not talked about but she was interested on did you hit her. How many times were there taken to police and human right because of the same physical attacks on the man? Doing this will give ladies high chances of not doing the right thing but looking for trouble since they have already known where to get illegal justice. 🤔🤔 I expected that Judge funmi would caution the lady seriously because she is a violent person even the attitude she was showcasing in court, is not done anywhere still she was not called to order🙄🙄 ISORITE🤐🤐

Before a lady will be reacting ,there’s a lot of things she endured ,so therefore I feel she was trying to defend herself,it is not possible she’ll just be fighting,she’s used to hearing abusive language from him and the sister and she’s weak that’s why she tries to fight .I’ve witness cases like this ,the husband bullies the wife and deals with her but when people comes he’ll act innocent and then it will be the wife shouting and causing trouble . Let’s be guided please .
The two are incompatible and should not be encouraged to be together to avoid disaster. DNA test should be conducted to establish paternity of the children. if positive the man should take responsibility for their welfare and have unhindered açcess to the children.
