The truth is that the guy reaped what he sowed. Looking at how they met, the lady hit her car and the guy instead of forgiving her, made her to pay. Then, at last the guy paid larger because the same devil who could not make him forgive set him up with the same woman. Let us learn to forgive that God will open our eyes against future troubles.
It was even a repair of 3k. I wonder why he could not let go

After several explanations from the judge he still doesn't understand. This is one of those who claims going to school is a scam.

I do not agree with you. When it comes to HOUSES, people DO SIGN what is called a MORTGAGE! The day they default on their payment, even after 10 SOLID YEARS of making regular payments, the bank REPOSSESSES THE HOUSE! We are not even talking about a car that HE ACTUALLY MADE SOME MONEY ON... Let's not be emotional here. This is how THE LAW works, unfortunately.
No matter how little you think a contract is always consult a lawyer to interpret for you and protect your interest before you append your signature. Me Lord just had to follow the law
One problem with our people is their attitude of not taking contract agreement seriously. I have had the same problem.

I definitely understood this man's frustration. He was desperate to take the hire purchase car because he just wanted to start work. Anyways, that should be a great lesson to all e-hailing drivers to understand the terms and conditions of their hire purchase agreement

We waited for 5 weeks on end before this exposide please justice court be consistent we missed it so much
I am pained seeing that this guy left without nothing, I understand he was desperate to work and forgot to take important things into consideration. Believe me he didn't involve his lawyer may be because of little service fee which, has caused him fortune. I pray he doesn't fall into depression after this judgment rather locate his destiny helper!
The lady is not a good lady. Money is not everything, don't rob peoples weakness on their face. Money when she go chop finish.
If they agreed on a ball figure, why did she collect part? She has to be blamed too for collecting part when it was agreed on ball figures. Whatever we are learning every blessed day. We should always shine our eyes when it comes to agreement and do our best to read over and over to understand or better still ask someone to help us read through and explain in layman language.

Lesson to learn: Always have someone else read through an agreement not written by yourself or your lawyerr to pick up areas you might have missed or if you know you are ignorant.
Anything that has to do with agreement prepared by a lawyer. Always get a lawyer to counter read it. Before signing it..

Man thought that the judicial system works based on sympathy not realising that it is purely based on facts. He shot himself on the leg by waiving the preconditions for the agreement to takeoff expecting the respondent to sympathise with himself when he bridged the terms of the contract. Poor man!

It's quite unfortunate that the man was in a hurry to kick off the business without studying the terms and conditions of the business. This is business, therefore, sentiments & emotions should be kept aside. A great lesson to everyone who do not study terms & conditions properly.

She did not pay for the insurance but the guy didn't mind possibly because he needed the job for his survival, getting to her turn she remembered the contract agreement. No because I don't want to argue with him does not mean is true, anytime he want to pay 25k, he complain that the Car has problem and I will ask him to use the money he is to pay me to repair the Car, which is not in our Aggrement.

Which power of law in Nigeria or somewhere else, this is a private court my brother, if our laws works Nigeria will never be the way it’s now, are you not born in Nigeria in the current election where INEC itself compromised the computerised electronic system, if this case should have been in a public government court and that guy bribe the judge the case will be turned against the woman the agreement and the facts will be abandoned even the woman have to pay compensation back to the guy, the justice system has collapsed in Nigeria hence why you see people coming to this private court, if Nigeria justice system is working Nigeria will not be the way it’s now shattered and destroyed by politicians. You are born in Nigeria and you know what am talking, have a case with a big man in Nigeria and the man is at fault and take him to court and see who is going to jail between the big man and yourself, Nigeria constitution is completely dead hence why you see everything upside down and all politicians are all stealing public funds as if the money belongs to their grandparents.

How much in total has the man paid and what is the balance?The whole fault came from the agreement. The lawyer that drafted the agreement, did not put much effort to protect the man. Since that man waved some conditions for her, she too should have been considerate.
1.6m15k that's I have already paid and the balance was 1.2m 85k, which I also borrowed 700k doing the repairs from the car accident that's she was meant to provide comprehensive insurance for.

Though I don't know the details of the clause, the woman should either pay back the money you paid her or deduct the balance you are owing from the amount she sold the car and give you the balance.

If the car is covered under "comprehensive insurance" cover, the accident ought to be the responsibility of the owner as indemnify by the insurance cover.
