If contraband is found in any container here in USA 🇺🇸. All item will be destroyed and not released. Either the agent in USA 🇺🇸 are trying to scam her or…….but definitely not from Nigeria 🇳🇬. She needs to go after the clearing agent here in USA 🇺🇸

Oretide foods limited, Even though your story seem to be more clearer than olanyinka's, It's still complicated, you said that the container left Nigeria to the US in your name (oretide) because of that, her (olanyinka) FDA is useless in the USA
So why must she be begging you for you to release your FDA to clear the container?

    • @adeyemiadeleye5428

When venturing into unfamiliar business, you must be willing to 'overpay' to a certain reasonable degree. That extra money wouldn't be a loss; it's school fees! It saves you a lot of trouble and equips you for better profitability in the future. That's one thing the plaintiff got wrong.
Lastly, I smell a common bias with Nigerians in diaspora where many of them think everyone back home is trying to scam them, so they get unnecessarily suspicious then burn their fingers while at it.

    • @ebuddy2cute

Being the first time of doing this kind of business, the Plaintiff should have been in Nigeria Herself instead of trusting others to do all the runnings for her. She should have load the containers herself and by so doing she will gain experience and maybe even have better contacts of a trusted person that can do it for her the next time. You cannot sit in the USA and just think others will handle this kind of business for you accurately and efficiently; especially being the first time.

Oretide was GUILTY. Many people don't realize this, but the Alcohol was indeed loaded on that container by Oretide. This is what they do when you mess up with their payment. The shipper refused to pay NXP, so Oretide decided to show her pepper by loading a small amount of alcohol, that'll cost her a little money but cost the shipper millions, to punish her for the unpaid NXP. It's sad but so difficult to detect by people who aren't in that circle. These cases need time to develop, and have the evidences scrutinized.

Oretide is right, i guess the video of alcohol should be more important than 20 bottles of honey (if its true). Oretide should be the 1st to have a copy of the FDA scary letter at that point. justice asked the lady about one of oretides claims and she agreed. that tells me oretide is not lieing. most of people in diapora are impatient because we believe it should be done asap, that can make oredite stop picking calls (although thats wrong). oretide should canter sue for the 1.5million.

I don't cos such drinks cost money and am sure no business woman will play with any of their one Kobo besides you should have told her about it before the honey issues self. Waiting for the judge

I think the main issue the plaintiff was a novice. She should have taken the advice of the defendant and allowed her to source for all items being shipped as well as use her FDA number. If the plaintiff had done that I believe Oretide would have to be held responsible for everything. However I think in the bid to cut corners and make more profit she decided to load the container herself with her own goods and use her own FDA number. In a business which you are a novice, it is not wise to take risks. That’s the moral of this story. But over to our able judge Funmi to make judgment on this matter

Why did the defendant ship the container with her FDA and name if she knew there was contraband items and she wouldn’t allow them to use it when it arrived? It never should have left Lagos with her name on it. She also said she was filming all items delivered and loaded and keep track of everything. Documents from the US government indicating that there was alcohol there should be sufficient. She doesn’t need video evidence. If she loaded and checked all the items in the container and it arrived with alcohol she should be responsible.

    1. Always learn about a business before venturing into it. 2.Start a new business on a smaller scale 3.Don’t always expose your ignorance but always learn and ask questions to get the understanding 4. At the beginning of a new business, learn from more sources to get more counsel of the trade. 5. Have a legal document signed by both parties.6. Document each communication with the dates for easy reference.7.Always Vet your business partners, in this case, vet whom you’re buying from. In this case, the CEO had anger/envy because the plaintiff did not buy 5/6 of the goods from her(she mentioned this 3 times during her response). It’s possible she planned this with this motive. The gap of knowledge is very wide between the parties. The plaintiff couldn’t have put the alcohol in the container, I guess Judge Funmi will rule in favor of the plaintiff or at best split the cost between the parties.

This case is somehow tho. The container got to usa on the 22nd of December, she checked the container and claimed that 20 bottles of honey is missing on the 22nd of January, she even complained about stickers, she didn't say anything about ALCOHOL O, that means the container has been checked as at the time she complained about honey and sticker, so she complained about the shipment of Alcohol on the 11th of February, almost a month after the container has been checked by the complainant, whereas the complainant has no evidence to proof her stand, from what the defendant has said, she know nothing about the Alcohol, this is conspiracy between the complainant and the complainant's husband

I was expecting to see all the other sources involved in loading the container..why is it only oretide foods been held responsible.
Secondly I think loading a container is too much for someone that has no knowledge about exporting..the defendant’s should have started on a small scale and begin to learn in the process.
Thirdly I think the defendant should present documents to back up her claim of alcohol in the container.
Lastly why will the defendant load contra brand like dried snail in the container.
What took her so long to reach out to oretide about the alcohol ? Has she reached out to her other supplier first then oretide later ?
Is it because oretide is a well known brand ?
So many questions in this case ?
Anyway I will wait for the other episodes.

It could have been her family that loaded the container with alcohol,if there was any at all. Definitely someone who has access to it in the US.
You can't just load in anything you like inside a container.
She could have partnered with another importer instead of trying to fill up a container for the first time.
