+nemrac fiftyto This happens almost everyday…sometimes worse than this…People/customers just don't understand that the essence of the issue is that the rental cars can cost from 20k-70k, so the rental companies are just trying to protect their equipment. People have stolen, wrecked, trashed, and lost vehicles…Bills that they use also can't have an outstanding balance…why the heck should anyone trust you if you can't even pay your utilities...
I work at enterprise. Have my two weeks notice in now. 60+ hour work weeks and customer who are complete scumbags… the job is very depressing to say the least.
To be fair, it is stupid that they're closed all day on Sundays. Cheap and unfair way of stealing people's money (I guess the government has some competition). Every car rental company I've ever used lets you return the car at any time (they register the time that the car was last locked so that you don't need to have someone check).
Wow, its been 20 years since I worked for this awful company. This brings back memories even now! This was pretty much the case every time someone came in without a credit card. It was always the same song and dance. I'm surprised Enterprise hasn't switched to just requiring a credit card to rent if the rental is not being billed to insurance or a dealership. Thanks for posting this!
I am so happy I left Enterprise!!!!! & yes, something like this happened everyday (My biggest RED FLAGS when working with customers is when they'd say Hertz doesn't do credit checks and have cheaper cars.............or my personal favorite like in this video....YOU MEAN YOU HAVE TO COLLECT A DEPOSIT!!!!!????). Best of luck to you current employees (ESPECIALLY MT's) that put up with the most shit from the customers, your branch managers, area managers, and so forth.
@freedomisfromtruth Every enterprise employee has a college degree, so you're mistaken about where we hire. I'm guessing you were the customer that was the inspiration for this awesome video.
I work at enterprise in Texas...and this to a T is what I go through EVERY FUCKING DAMN day!!! My entire branch laughed at this so hard, thanks for giving us 7 minutes of joy in our 11 hr day of hell!
Not necessarily. That's a pretty strict rule, but there are exceptions. I am an assistant manager with Enterprise in Washington and I don't have a degree. I just have a lot of past sales experience.
I feel you....I am an assistant manager of 2 branches in Washington....same deal. Doesn't change anywhere it seems. Annoying as hell, but at least we're not alone up here...
(SOrry, Keyboards busted.) I've worked at Enterprise for months and it's people like this that fail to understand that we're putting them in a brand new + $20,000 vehicle and they want it for free. It's unbelievable.
I always been pissed rental car companies no longer take cash it makes it very hard in emergencies especially when all u got is a debit card and your 600 miles away from home
@chayhurst Hertz gave a 2 car level upgrade just to include cruise control for cross country, Enterprise steals toll change behind 5 min after you drop the car off. Do everyone a favor and declare chapter 13
It gets viewed like that because there's about 300,000 coupons out there at all times that lower the price at all times. I believe enterprise has AAA/CAA/Car&Driver/WTF discounts, right? And that lots of Enterprise depots have Priceline deals? And so on? And you wonder why you get people just wanting to skip all that BS and get the lowest price without the effort. :)
Whatever you do don't bye their insurance ,it's a SCAM ,on November 2013 I got a rental car from them end the agent kept asking me to buy their insurance so I ended up doing it ,I told him that I was going to Florida ,He told me that their insurance will cover for any damage to the car in case something happen , ,unfortunaly I did a little damage to their car ,now they are telling me that I have to pay the bill for the repair or I have to report it to my insurance company ,if you have a personal car insurance don't buy theirs period.
You are stingy, customers should pay for all damages caused on the car. Imagine how much loss a company has because of stingy people like you. So you should appreciate that companies trust their property with you. imagine someone crushing your car and refused to pay you. How mad would you be?
If one pay for coverage of any damage as an agreement ,the company is compromise to should be responsible ,thats what the insurance is for ,I paid them $20.00 per day for 5 days.
I know that, but what I am trying to tell you is that it is not fair for car hire companies, because damages are not covered by their insurance they pay from their savings. So it a loss for company. . I don't agree with this coverage anw, they shouldn't offer it anw. They should have at least excess of minimum 5000pounds. Any it is not my problem, I am just a fair person.
catrashoo on the contrary, i rented a car from them a few months back, got the insurance on the car and someone had side swiped the car while I was in a parking lot. I brought the vehicle back to Enterprise, told them what happened and was free to leave. Seriously, saved my ass.
Why do insurance companies flock to this crappy rental service. The counter people are just pathetic. Oh thats it, the insurance companies paying for it want you to have regrettable experience when the counter tries to intimidate you into buying more insurance.
@b12ian72 If your not getting insurance paid rental why would the bear even go there. He must also do banking at Bank of America and eat all the time and McDs
that’s not true it’s $71 dollars and a 200 dollar security deposit and you get your 200$ back when you bring the car back with no damage and a full tank of gas
Ha too bad that will never happen you probably collect a disability check live with your grandmother have no bills and still do not have any money bc you live in the now and don't think about the future
Hahaha wonderful video! I served my 4 years in rental, very good laugh.
I can not count all the ways that you do not qualify to rent a car.
The color is correct
if he's never rented from them before... How in the hell does he have a $900 inbalance?
If this is a typical customer an employee experience, I feel sorry for the employees who have to deal with these type of customers.

I work for enterprise too so I totally get it man, I'm getting so sick of hearing, "y'all got any chargers?"
After a few rentals with Enterprise, that went well , I ran into a really bad experience with them. I will never use them again.
Yep, that's about right. Some people have the mentality that renting a $30,000 car should be the same as renting a movie from Blockbuster

In Florida we get the same thing though Instead of Mexico they have tried to ship one of our rentals to Puerto Rico.... Ugh
I always been pissed rental car companies no longer take cash it makes it very hard in emergencies especially when all u got is a debit card and your 600 miles away from home

I have a hard time accepting advice with so many typos.

@goodhans87 Take a look at the people behind the counter, why didnt they continue sterilization from the 1920s, oh Enterprise wouldnt have employees.
that’s not true it’s $71 dollars and a 200 dollar security deposit and you get your 200$ back when you bring the car back with no damage and a full tank of gas
so many rules because its a fucking 25k car!! duh
Enterprise is making false accusation of vehicle damages. Do not rent from Enterpise. I currently have that issue.
@FastFiveification So your the one who does its job patheticly, Enterprise hires directly off BK fryer line.
Ha too bad that will never happen you probably collect a disability check live with your grandmother have no bills and still do not have any money bc you live in the now and don't think about the future
