It says on the F10 bottle that you're supposed to just spray it on and leave it without rinsing. I'm hesitant to do that because beardies lick everything in their enclosure. And I mix it to super Coccidia strength which is stronger than the strongest ratio on the bottle. Do you normally rinse the F10 off?
Your beardie should have a flat surface to bask on. The surface needs to be able to absorb heat. Use an infared thermometer to check the surfaces heat. Use a basking rock. The flat warm surface under their tummy is what gets their food to digest.
I have a bio active tanks with isopods spring tales with also a bio shot in the soil. Do I have to worry about cleaning that? I have never tried f10 cleaning before. I have always cleaned with dawn soap. I feel like a bad mom now for my dragons. They go to the vet once a year and stool gets check every six month. They are health.
Hi, I am getting the same enclosure as this one. In the video, when you removed the sand, it looked like you had a lining in the bottom. What type of lining is this and how can I get the same for my enclosure?
We painted on and waterproofing membrane used for sealing ponds. The trick when doing this is to prep the timber first. Not many products will stick directly to melamine. You will need to scuff it first with coarse sand paper. (TIP: mask the area you don’t want to sand, it will give you cleaner lines)
Good info. Hey where can I get a hammock like that? My beardy is getting a little board with his enclosure and I'm looking to give him some more options
Most pet stores sell them. Otherwise other options are seagrass mats from a hardware store are the same thing. eBay and wish are a cheap alternative too 👍
bought 2 pygmy beardies 4/5yo from another owner and clearly they’ve been neglected as the tank is dirty and one has an eye infection (been to the vet). It’s been a week since I got them and they have not eaten anything. I’ve tried various salads, insects and the vet even gave recovery dog food to entice them but no luck. I was going to do a deep clean today, however I’m worried about them being in a container with no heat source and also stress. Should I also be replacing the tank with sand (was reptile sand previously) or paper towels? The sand keeps getting stuck in her infected eyes tho eventually she does scratch it off…
Sorry for the late reply. All my reptiles go into a quarantine tank for at least 6 months. During this time they are on paper towel or butchers paper. This makes it easier to identify things like parasites and problems with their faeces. While your little one is unwell with the eye infections, I would have them on butchers paper. Have they started eating yet?
Good pick up. We F10 our food bowls once a week for our adults as we only give them salad once a week. Our hatchies food bowls are F10 cleaned every time we feed them, which is about 3 times a week. In addition, during your daily spot clean if you find that your dragon has used the water bowl as a toilet, please F10 the water bowl too!!!
F10 kills algae and mold. Give it a scrub with soapy water, then spray with F10 and let that soak. You should be replacing the water more often and cleaning the container more often and you won't have this issue.

Read the video description above for the list of our cleaning schedule. We have also added our 6 monthly variation.
Great video and instruction helped a lot. Thank you so very much for your time in putting this together.

This is not true. They absorb heat through their backs via infra-red heat just fine.
