No problem sorry about the first video my editing software has been giving me so much issues as of lately haha I feel bad it was messed up the first time!
Another guy talked about baths to help with pheromone pores being blocked. Didn't expect lizards could get blackheads. This video had stuff about the metabolic bone disease in it so I figure he knows a bit, but said that the pore thing is caused by loose substrate and recommended among other things that carpet crap. Are the pores being blocked just another aspect of him not being hydrated? Little dude's been raised on pellet trash so it wouldn't surprise me if he was eternally dehydrated.
So 99% of pores I see are not blocked despite people believing it is. Pores are essential and should never be removed carpet would actually make it worse as sand would rub them down better. However the pores are how dragons leave scent and mark their territory when you have adult males you’ll often see them rub their pores on their areas they hang out the most.
@ChiefSweetsUniverse thanks for replyin quick my man. Other dude said those spots should be clear and it had me nervous cause we noticed weird black spots along his legs and didn't know what that was.
Sometimes I give mine a bath if he hasn’t pooped in a couple days or he has some skin thing where it clumps up under his armpit and if I don’t give him a bath it will layer up and get hard
I have a 3 yr old bearded dragon, that we got from a friend, and she had taught us wrong, comparing to what your saying... my question is.. is it okay we let out dragon roam the house during the day???
Do you need to put anything in their drinking or bath water because I am researching all the time to prepare for a bearded dragon and I have seen things about how you need to put something in their water to make it safe because of the chemicals in the tap water but I might be completely wrong! Great video by the way all your videos are really helpful 😁
Yes sometimes tap water has way too much chlorine due to water treatment reptisand will help with that although most just use tap anyway and nothing happens I use tap water myself without treatment
Question!!! Pretty please!! I have a baby bearded dragon he's 4 months old. His ambient temperature on the hot side of his tank is 95-100 and his basking spot stays around 110-115. Is that ok? It varies depending on how many times I open his lid to pull him out and cuddle or feed him. I was told both of those are too hot and then someone else said it wasn't hot enough. Is that true? THANK YOU! I love your channel and I've learned so much from you!
It is around max temps but not too bad. I will say 115f is absolute max temps so I would try and lower it by like 3f you can do this with a thermostat. Also anything hotter than what you have now is way too hot for sure.
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse thank you!!!! Should I get a different lower basking bulb? Or should I left the light higher off the mesh. Right now I'm using the 50 watt thrive spot bulb
This vedio goes against every source I found..all the sources said that I need to bath my bearded dragon 2 times a week, and I did just that from last 6 months... ig I didn't have to do it after all
Yeah it started getting popular recently about bathing them. You don’t have to at all though. You can watch the beardie vet talk about it on reptile and research’s podcast. Beardie vet is the worlds number 1 researcher on bearded dragons
I was at a PetSmart today and one of the employees said he gives his bearded dragon a bath in really warm water every morning to help him go poop,.. 😂 he also said he has a red light bulb in his cage so that kind of was a red flag 😅
Anyone have a beardy that just loves to swim? Mines a mermaid, he doesnt get bathed but he just jumps in!
Lucky! 😂 My beardy hates it.
Thanks for the reupload!

Thanks again for another awesome and informative video! Love your content.
Happy to help! Much appreciated!
I don’t bathe my beardy often, only if she poops and walks in it bc then it would spread all over the tank 😂😂
Haha that’s a very good reason to bathe them. Very acceptable 😁
Thanks again sweets your always there when I'm having dragon problems
Happy to help!
Thank you so much I have just got a bearded dragon a month ago, I’ve been wondering this
Congratulations 🎉 also very happy to help!

I usually do a soft tip toothbrush and I go 90 to 100 degrees never exceeding 100 definitely
Yeah that sounds great! Yeah I didn’t know what temp warm water is 😂 I’m assuming it is definitely around 90f
We need an update of the baby beardies!
I’ll see if I can get some pics of them now but I sold them all to loving Homes!
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse that’s good!
Question is it a bad idea to get your bearded dragon from PetSmart?
What about misting the enclosure? My beardie enclosure humidity stays 40-60 without misting.
Yeah you could in the wild they do run out during rainstorms to drink droplets. So it does work.
For how much time do I let him bathe for
Do you need to bathe any other types of reptiles?
No
❤

Can i spray my bearded dragon? In her cage?
Yeah just make sure you do it in the morning so she has time to warm up
Loved the vid just subbed, I also make reptile content
Hello fellow reptile lover! Thank you very much!
Thank you, I accidentally bathed my mine and its a young one.
Mine ran through poo today so he got his first bath lol
That is perfectly reasonable haha
I've never related to a reptile more than dont peel their skin for them. I need someone to tell me to stop doing it to myself lol
Haha I do it too.
I’m hoping soaking helps my dragons bowel movements 😢😢💔
your dragon does not need human assistance for bowel movement at all.
