    Hello Dr. Amen,
I’m a mental health counselor practicing in the Orlando, FL area. I trained in EMDR two years ago, and have been so excited with the results my clients have been getting because if this amazing therapy! I’m always looking for new training opportunities, and will keep an eye out for your recommendations!
Thank you for the brain, body, and emotional wellness information you have been sharing!!

Fantastic!!! EMDR gave me my life back about 20 years ago. It was six sessions, start to finish and a trauma, that when triggered left me bedridden for days, was just a sad story.
I was in that uninformed category of people who thought you had to go to war to have PTSD. While in an unrelated training, the trainer showed a slide with the symptoms of PTSD. Bingo! Described me to a tee.
Sadly I was so enthusiastic that I referred a loved one to someone who advertised specialties in PTSD and EMDR. He stopped seeing the person after 6 months. I was confused, 6 months? He said that she wasn’t sure EMDR would work, he had to really want to try it, and they should start with talk therapy around it. He was being triggered and retraumatized every session. Thank goodness he stopped after 6 months.
I wish more trained mental health “experts” understood brain health and the dangers of talk therapy when someone has severe trauma.

Hi from the East coast Delaware👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
I’ve done some EMDR sessions for PTSD childhood sexual assault & abuse. ( I still have more sessions to go. I just have to finally call my therapist after 1.5 years of not working with her…. EMDR IS HARD!!! 💔 )
It really helped. I decided to try hypnosis with rotating EMDR sessions. They complemented each other and helped when EMDR was getting intense and hypnosis gave me a safe space to end on. Thanks DR Amen for explaining hypnosis and your hypnosis audios!!! I would not have tried hypnosis otherwise! It really WORKS! ❤️❤️
3 plus years of Tang Soo Do ( Korean Karate 🥋) training definitely helps with being confident in being able to handle threatening situations.
    Shoutout to TANA!!! ❤️❤️
She really inspired me to stop wishing for martial arts training for many years and GO FOR IT!!! She reminds me of myself in the fierce female warrior who also has ADD/ADHD Like me! ❤️❤️( I legit have ADD/ADHD. Can you tell by how long this comment is chattering on??? 😂)
Thanks again for sharing and all y’all do!!! You seriously have helped myself and tons of others around the world! ❤️❤️❤️

I don’t understand why you say you can’t do EMDR on yourself. That’s the only way I’ve ever experienced it!
I can just take myself for a walk. Think about my issue as my scan the horizon left right up down. It’s amazing how easy it can be.
Of course, this is after I’d already spent a lot of time dealing with most of my issues using emotional freedom technique (EFT). But still, it is a remarkablely simple and effective tool for making sense of your life.

Cool, I was trained by Curt Rouanzoin ( guy in this video) in EMDR in 2016. Nice guy, I spoke to him about using EMDR with psych patients, and comparisons to somatic therapies at his training at the LAX area.
