It's clear from the color of the Miraculous that it's meant to be the Indian/common/blue peafowl. The male is primarily metallic blue, while the female is primarily brown. However, there's also the green/Indonesian peafowl, where the male and female look very similar - an iridescent green. it'd be an interesting lore tidbit if the bee miraculous was only passed from woman to woman and the rooster was passed from man to man (either like it was a cultural/traditional thing or just amazing coincidence) so they could kinda be foils to one another
I think this would be great for the bee miraculous as well since the Queen/Monarch is essentially the best way to incorporate design and powers that feel so akin to it. I'd have the bee miraculous be passed down from woman to woman
In my opinion I actually really like how "distracting" the male design for the butterfly miraculous is because a lot of moths and butterflies have these "eyespots" on their lower wings as a deterrent from birds that want to eat them. The spots mimic the eyes of predators so when the birds see them they think it's a predator rather than a butterfly or moth.
For the horse miraculous, I say go armored war horse instead of cowboy. If you look close in the og design, you can see that they have some type of plating on the suit, I think if you make them into armor then it should work. Also if you feel like it isn’t work, try putting all the designs together to see if they complement one another. You can also keep some elements from the cowboy designs to make it work too
The peacock miraculous isn’t a ripoff of the butterfly. One allows you to give specially defined powers to others and the other allows you to create life from practically nothing.
@@Starberry7 well obviously not exactly the same in world however in writing (aka in the way they are used in the story/ what they do) they are identical
NGL i liked the direction with Marinette as the cat miraculous in the show. The braid acted as the tail, the skin-tight suit resembled existing cat hero/heroine.
I like to think that for the ladybug miraculous, the yoyo stays, and Ladybug would just ... hide her wings? like how a ladybug's wings are usually hidden in the carapace (shell). she could probably just use her yoyo for most situations, then when the villain goes really high up and is like haha I have the high ground, she can just open her wings and fly. kinda like a flying roach. freaks ppl out kinda. an element of surprise?
i am 100% basing this idea off of a horse girl I knew in school, but you could make the miraculous a big belt buckle (im pretty sure thats a rodeo thing)
For the horse miraculous, I think it would've been cool to go for a 18th century French cavalry design. You could give them a long braid or ponytail to mimic a horse tail, or give them a cuirassier helmet that already has the tail motif. A masquerade style mask would also make more sense, given they were very popular in 1700s France. Also, I really like the pig's design, but I would probably add a little yellow or switch out the gray to differentiate from the mouse's pallete, especially with how bright and multicolored Romani dance outfits are.
these redesigns are honestly really cool. I guess if you wanted to go less yeehaw for the horse, maybe could go for more of a warhorse direction? I'd personally take reference from spartan armor especially the helmets were I to go for a less yeehaw design myself. maybe a bit of a trojan horse theme could be fun to
For the monkey king, the inspiration is so ingrained in the design that the headband and the staff itself is a reference. You can’t really avoid monkey king when those two are combined with a monkey
These are so cool! Love how we get to see two designs for each miraculous and that they still have variety. Miraculous has such a interesting concept so your creativity for the suits are very cool.
@@abigaillynnarts kind of surprised that no one's even mentioned that but I think the reason is because most people have it with the wolf miraculous. @@Keith_Norman I would just get rid of the “horse” entirely and substitute it for something else to make things more consistent. holy crap, props to you for doing so many redesigns and making so much art. genuinely impressive also- think the monkey redesigns are my favorite. they're just perfect

Watching this video really made me think a lot about my own process for art and posing. It gave me some awesome inspiration for one of my superhero ocs so thank you! Love your work!!
I'm actually working on making my own miracle box. 19 kwamis, each based on a mythical creature. I finished their concepts and I'm working on drawing them. The Kwami, their name, the dormant and active forms of the Miraculous, the tool/weapon, and the Miraculous holder themselves, of which I create a whole character because apparently my little OC-creating mind just doesn't stop
That’s so fun! I’ve been working on a Celtic miracle box for a fic I have that includes animals significant in Celtic mythos (that weren’t already taken), including Moth (actually), Wolf, Seal, Bear, Deer, and Crow, and they’re balanced not in pairs but in trios. The box design itself I think is kinda neat with two Celtic knots, one flipped vertically and overlaid on top of the other, so the box opens up like a six-petal flower :>

Honestly we don't really need to redesign every character because some are actually good like cat noir and Rena rouge but Marinette desperately needs to change and I would rather not have Zoe in the show whatsoever
I saw someone say Marinette should've had the mouse miraculous instead of the Ladybug and I completely agree, she looked so much better and I think it would've fit her personality more than being a commanding leader.
The designs look absolutely awesome, like, wow- Also saw a lot of Scarlet Lady comic design references and that made me very happy it's a very underrated retelling of the MLB story :D
If the glasses predate the horse- then shouldn't western themes? If you tackled this one again maybe try going for East Asian cavalry and how their armor is designed for better horse riding! Very fun video though I can tell a lot of time and effort went into this!!!
There's actually a BUNCH of species of ladybugs, I recently found out. The fifteen-spotted lady beetle, in particular, looks like almost an albino version of the typical seven-spot red ladybug.
My favorites are definitely the bee and snake costumes. I love how you incorporated so much of the actual animals into how the costumes fall. With the puffy and bouncy being very obvious contrasts to the strong, bulky, or outdoorsy animals. (I had a lot of fun figuring out your inspirations from other animes. I called Howl out not even two seconds before you mentioned him 😂)
I had the same idea to recreate the designs but I never had the time or will to recreate the designs. Those were amazing by the way and I loved them Oh and, you may have traced but I admire you’re able to add the designs on your own in that position and your art alone is real good too
3:43 honestly, I think a cool thing you could’ve done with the peacock outfits is leave the colors for the masculine design, but make the feminine design, more dull, or closer to browns (similar to pea hens in real life, since it’s only the males that really do the display thing)
I'm very confused as to how the pig is a "rip off of the ladybug"??? It traps you in a vision of your deepest desires, how is that at all similar to the lucky charm?
Maybe the Horse Miraculous could have been based on the tradition of horseback archery? Or maybe a dressage/ballet fusion or something with equestrian polo
Your designs sincerely don't look like a fix but rather as a DTIYS. And it doesn't seem that you thoroughly thought like the concept artist behind the work, i can be wrong though. My sketches are not better, that's why I can't have the pretense to say i can fix them
Ngl the designs are fine. But my problem with them is that they don't feel like they would fit in the show Miraculous and they don't really look like Superhero designs either. Most look more like designs for a fantasy setting in an Anime.
I use to like the show too. However, what they did to Cloe, the dumb thing with Hawkmoth, the ending of the resent season and cutting out the Bull,Dog,Rooster and Goat Meraculous I finally gave up on it. HOWEVER, the Layla twist was cool.
for the horse miraculous, you could go for a Broadway vibe as the horse was very obsessed with having a famous person via their miraculous holder when it first came out of the miraculous

@@MOthicaL19 nah I’m not touching the specials lmao sparrow’s design is the best design that’s ever been made and it’s not even a concept from miraculous it was for a different project that was never made which is why it stands out as such a strong design to me, because it doesn’t fall into any of the usual tropes and flaws of the rest of the designs. I also really hate the specials so nothing will ever make me tough those unless it’s for a breakdown of the terrible writing lol
Could the horse miraculous be a belt? Might suit the western vibe more... The horse outfit could've also been based on horse-riding gear, or even an old riding outfit complete with a cloak. The thing that makes the monkey miraculous obviously a reference to Sun Wukong is the circlet that holds the miraculous. Unless you change the circlet, it will always look like a Sun Wukong reference. I also don't particularly like how you lumped an important figure from Chinese mythology in with the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. One is a modern character, the other is an ancient myth entrenched in cultural iconography. There's a lot more deeply layered symbolism in the monkey miraculous than the rabbit one. Edit: just added a few remarks
I really love these new designs, however I notice that these designs seem like less of a miraculous suit, more anime style defence costumes. Absolutely love them though
Trans people wouldn't feel comfortable with their assigned gender at birth, so genderfluid or bigender, etc. is definitely more fitting in this case. Non-binary and agender, etc. could work to.o, but that would more depend on if that person is comfortable wearing something more explicitly gendered, cause a lot of people aren't, and a lot of people are, and a lot of people would prefer to just wear stuff that both genders would wear instead of having two separate gendered sets.
I love how modern these look. Like, I think more shows should keep in mind the practicality of the outfits they make because bodysuits appear less and less as each year goes by and the challenges arising would call for more fully armored clothing. But then again, I get it won't be practical for each show to animate a complex outfit in every scene. However, changing simple elements could absolutely define each hero's use better. You definitely nailed that - the whole purpose of each hero!
I love the designs! You could've done something like a knight for the horse miraculous, as an idea, or a more farm vibe, but I still love all of them, especially the villain moth and the snake.
I like the idea of the zodiac Kwamis having a second ability that only the most experienced users can use like one being creation and another being Destruction instead of the ladybug and cat, also the time related ability should see into a persons past and if the person has a Kwami any memories related to the kwami can’t be seen

it'd be an interesting lore tidbit if the bee miraculous was only passed from woman to woman and the rooster was passed from man to man (either like it was a cultural/traditional thing or just amazing coincidence) so they could kinda be foils to one another
I think this would be great for the bee miraculous as well since the Queen/Monarch is essentially the best way to incorporate design and powers that feel so akin to it. I'd have the bee miraculous be passed down from woman to woman
i think it would be very cute if the cat design had little paws on the bottom of their shoes
This! Extremely different.
disagree they are the same
It feels like a cross between butterfly and ladybug
@@circe2258 since when can the butterfly Miraculous create life? They clearly are not the same.
@@Starberry7 well obviously not exactly the same in world
however in writing (aka in the way they are used in the story/ what they do) they are identical
In that case you could just keep the space upgrade tho because it literally gives flight powers when needed.
A FLYING ROACH????
@@Sirfinn. yea those things scare the life outta me💀
just wanted to add in that you could have used bumblebees for the bee design as they can be male and female
Could definitely see a Persona crossover AU with these designs.
_"-I am thou, thou arth I-"_
YES OMG THATS SO GOOD
100%. These look so good.
BROOO
i am 100% basing this idea off of a horse girl I knew in school, but you could make the miraculous a big belt buckle (im pretty sure thats a rodeo thing)
love it when my sleep paralysis demon who has an obsession with miraculous ladybug explains their redesign process to me
😭
Ngl I’m obsessed with miraculous 😅 my channel got 612 miraculous videos
8:23 “i think it captures that mysterious vibe pretty well*
*draws them grooving*
I love your take on the butterflys, both as heroes and villains!
Honestly all the redesigns were pretty good!
I'd personally take reference from spartan armor especially the helmets were I to go for a less yeehaw design myself. maybe a bit of a trojan horse theme could be fun to
My favorite was the short bulky goat, really nails the concept in my perspective! Amazing works!! ✨ (oh and the rabbit! they look extremely cool!!)
For the monkey king, the inspiration is so ingrained in the design that the headband and the staff itself is a reference. You can’t really avoid monkey king when those two are combined with a monkey
I have a pet rabbit and it’s great to hear someone talk about how strong they are…. They can also be terrifying!!! XDDD I love you design!!! :333
I really like the yeehaw vibe, but a dressage inspired design could also work to evoke a horse
These are so cool! Love how we get to see two designs for each miraculous and that they still have variety. Miraculous has such a interesting concept so your creativity for the suits are very cool.
Well sometimes in Western shows that have amulets I'm pretty sure so you could use that for the horse miraculous
That could totally work!
@@abigaillynnarts kind of surprised that no one's even mentioned that but I think the reason is because most people have it with the wolf miraculous. It's an OC miraculous that's used in fanfiction and then each and everyone it's always an amulet but the powers are always different. You also never mentioned if you were going to keep the powers of the horse miraculous
@@Keith_Norman I would just get rid of the “horse” entirely and substitute it for something else to make things more consistent. They’ve done some switching around of the miraculous animals in the zodiac before, thinking of the rat to mouse, so if max is going to be “Pegasus” and marinette is going to be “pegabug” then I’d make the horse swap to just be a literal Pegasus instead, then the teleportation power would make more sense to me. Right now the entire comes off as extremely inconsistent and poorly thought out.
@@abigaillynnarts I mean it definitely works considering that there's a dragon miraculous and the Pegasus allows him to teleport or float but a Barbie gets the horseshoe but the other part of me doesn't really like it as a weapon and also these things are supposed to be communication devices too
Every day of my life I wish they gave those teens actual superhero designs instead of skin-tight spandex outfits. These were all fantastic, I LOVE the fox-tail cape and the mice were both so, so cute!
To be fair... Many superheroes in cartoons wear skintight spandex suits.
I think the male villain butterfly design was good!! imo its just the pose that didnt do it justice. Also, for pegasus/ the horse miraculous, i think it woulda been really cool to add some kinda techno-vibe to it, because of the whole teleporting thing. The clash of western-meets-tech would be super sick tbh
That’s a lot of characters to redisign, props to you
holy crap, props to you for doing so many redesigns and making so much art. genuinely impressive
also- think the monkey redesigns are my favorite. they're just perfect
I think these were all very well done and the concepts were very creative! My personal favorites were the butterfly hero/villain, fox, peacock, snake, cat, bee, monkey, male tiger, and dragon.
If someone came out with a series that included these outfits with a cast based of the energy each outfit gave, I'd be 100% invested
I think you might enjoy looking up how Erythrism presents in animals, specifically tigers. These color morphs are called golden tigers, strawberry tigers, and pink tigers. Not even close to the magenta color of the show but beautiful pink tigers.
“I don’t care about the Journey to the West references”
Proceeds to keep the five pointed crown
Just because you don't want to copy something to a tea, doesn't mean the design that did doesn't have elements you like.
@@The_Life_Stealerthe five pointed crown is a small accessory referencing the journey to the west, what she said she didnt want to incorporate
That sounds cool! I'd love to see them when you're done, if that's okay. X3
@SeaBassInWater-oi3lt Do you have reddit? I posted my entire Miracle box there
That’s so fun!
@fancyfree0 Here's my list
The "Aurora Fire Fox," from Finland
The Phoenix, from Egypt
The "Cu Sith," from Scotland
The "Splinter Cat," which is an American cryptid
The Chimera, from Greek mythology
The white horse ridden by Death, as one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse
Jorogumo, from Japan
Charybdis, from Greek mythology
The "Vargr," from Norse mythology
The "Kitsune," from Japan
The "Bunyip," from Australia
Beithir, from Scotland
The "Minokawa," from the Philippines
The "Qilin," from China
The "Cherufe," from Chile
The "Groot Slang," from South Africa
The "Dobhar-chu," from Ireland
The "Nine-horned Deer," from Lithuania
And lastly, the "Cath Palug," from Wales
@@bloodybee3553 Yooooo, that’s so cool
Love seeing the splintercat come up, I first learned about it from Lockstin & Gnoggin, and I’ve *gotta* check out the Aurora fire fox, it sounds so cool
“Eventually I had to go yeehaw with it” that’s my life motto atp
“If we saw a yellow ladybug in the show” 6:42 little does she know they will add a yellow ladybug in the London special 😂😂
I love the snake one so much, especially the hood and hat part O: And I wish to forget Adrien's snake transformation--
Have you seen Juuni Taisen? They have some interesting ideas for zodiac designs, such as boar's tusks are her earrings or monkey's ears are imitated with headphones, can be used for inspiration too
I haven’t seen it but that sounds very cool!
@@abigaillynnarts there are simple designs like rabbit wearing a sexy bunny waiter outfit but some are cool x3 also they have a female chicken, is why I remembered about this show at all while watching your video xD though I'm not fond of her outfit, besides the hair piece 🤔
I loved how happy you sounded when you were talking about the Butterfly redesign. And the finished drawing made my jaw drop. Wish I was half as good at drawing as you! :)
I’m not a huge fan of the show anymore, but if you made your redesigns into a show I’d love to watch!!!
Speaking for the horse design, you could go for a battle horse or war horse design; specifically the ones used in ancient battles. 😁
Snake's one is really cool! I love it! And dragon's one is so beautiful and it fits so well! Good work!
Absolutely ADORED the snake, turtle and pig, completely amazing
The tiger re-designs are reminding me of the Cats musical (1998) in the most positive way I can say. Rum Tug Tugger energy
oh thats VERY rum tug tugger, youre so right
Blue ladybugs also exist! They’re called steel blue ladybirds. They don’t have spots, but they have a very cool metallic blue/green/purple shell that I think could also make for some very cool hero designs!
Honestly we don't really need to redesign every character because some are actually good like cat noir and Rena rouge but Marinette desperately needs to change and I would rather not have Zoe in the show whatsoever
no I don’t NEED to redesign them but for most of them it was very fun to!
@@abigaillynnarts no I understand completely
Omg hi keith!😊
In season 6 ladybug will have a suit re design
Shadybugs design slayed tho
I saw someone say Marinette should've had the mouse miraculous instead of the Ladybug and I completely agree, she looked so much better and I think it would've fit her personality more than being a commanding leader.
I love how you made these outfits look more natural and realistic❤
And with more culture and tradition.
These are great! I don't really know what else to say.
I was caught of guard when I saw you pull up Ranboo as a reference for the monkey one 😂
Gal predicted Chronobug. Crazy...
For the Horse miraculous it could be a belt or necklace that turns into a lasso! Goes with the whole cowpoke aesthetic
The designs look absolutely awesome, like, wow-
Also saw a lot of Scarlet Lady comic design references and that made me very happy it's a very underrated retelling of the MLB story :D
The male bull design is my absolute favorite! the color and the clothes' details really speak to me.
I think I have at least 50% of the poses you used saved on a Pinterest board lol.
LOL I GOT MOST OF MINE FROM PINTEREST AHAHAHA
If the glasses predate the horse- then shouldn't western themes? If you tackled this one again maybe try going for East Asian cavalry and how their armor is designed for better horse riding!
Very fun video though I can tell a lot of time and effort went into this!!!
I like how the designs look for the cloths because it feels like they're all from all over the world and fit with their environment
There's actually a BUNCH of species of ladybugs, I recently found out. The fifteen-spotted lady beetle, in particular, looks like almost an albino version of the typical seven-spot red ladybug.
THE TRANSFORMATION MUSIC KILLED ME- 💀
My favorites are definitely the bee and snake costumes.
Those were amazing by the way and I loved them
Oh and, you may have traced but I admire you’re able to add the designs on your own in that position and your art alone is real good too
3:43 honestly, I think a cool thing you could’ve done with the peacock outfits is leave the colors for the masculine design, but make the feminine design, more dull, or closer to browns (similar to pea hens in real life, since it’s only the males that really do the display thing)
I'm very confused as to how the pig is a "rip off of the ladybug"??? It traps you in a vision of your deepest desires, how is that at all similar to the lucky charm?
If anything, the goat and ladybug are basically the same thing, except the goat can choose the object and the ladybugs one is just luck
I feel like she doesn't get the Miraculous as much as she think she does. Not even hating but I've noticed it too
@@pettybee3860 she said she never watched it, at least thats what I remember
Ok
I love a lot of these designs and kinda wanted to use them for my mlb fanfic/rewrite. These would be cooler to use than the actual outfits.
You 100% use them! if you include pics of them I’d appreciate it if you could credit me, that’s all I ask :)
@@abigaillynnarts of course I'd credit you! I'd hate to steal your art. But thank you for the permission!
for the horse miraculous, you could go for a Broadway vibe as the horse was very obsessed with having a famous person via their miraculous holder when it first came out of the miraculous
I love how unique your versions of the outfits look, they're very beautiful❤
If u ever have time, would it be possible to redesign the fusion outfits aswell?
Never ever in my life because that’s way too many outfits lolllll
Edit: I’d also remove them from the narrative entirely
@@abigaillynnarts would u still make a design for the ones from the specials or is that too much?
Ty for replyin btw
@@MOthicaL19 nah I’m not touching the specials lmao sparrow’s design is the best design that’s ever been made and it’s not even a concept from miraculous it was for a different project that was never made which is why it stands out as such a strong design to me, because it doesn’t fall into any of the usual tropes and flaws of the rest of the designs. I also really hate the specials so nothing will ever make me tough those unless it’s for a breakdown of the terrible writing lol
@@abigaillynnartsmight I ask why you’d remove the fusion outfits?
@@DerpyCookieMc I find the entire concept of the fusions too convenient for the plot from a writing standpoint, that’s why.
This was amazing! Love seeing people absolutely rip into this show and do there own take:))
I love that you put sounds on the background of each transformation to show how you feel about them. I was vibin
Trans bee holders! That’s way worker bee can still have the male and female transformations :3
maybe gender-fluid would work a bit better idk why but that's just what i think
@@ViviVinyl that also works. Both can be used, even nonbinary people!
That’s a cool idea!
That’s what I was thinking too
Trans people wouldn't feel comfortable with their assigned gender at birth, so genderfluid or bigender, etc. is definitely more fitting in this case.
The amount of improvement in just this one video is amazing!❤ You can tell when you started getting comfortable and having fun! These are amazing!!!
the white skin made them look like they came from just dance lol
this game haunts me
OH I MISS U! Loved your stuff on TikTok but I left it a while ago! Glad you’re here
6:35 oh, so that’s why chronobug is yellow
I thought the same
I love how modern these look.
As much as I love these redesigns, to me, some of them like the goat lost its superhero vibes tbh and looks more like a color coordinated fit😭
I love the designs! You could've done something like a knight for the horse miraculous, as an idea, or a more farm vibe, but I still love all of them, especially the villain moth and the snake.
The horse one is giving Westly from the Princess Bride meets Vaqueros which I am living for rn! :3
i love how you can slowly see the art getting better at better as each character goes on showing that it took time to make this video
I like the idea of the zodiac Kwamis having a second ability that only the most experienced users can use like one being creation and another being Destruction instead of the ladybug and cat, also the time related ability should see into a persons past and if the person has a Kwami any memories related to the kwami can’t be seen
Dude the snake one looks like an actual ninja using snake techniques tho
11:39 Embo is always excellent inspiration. I’m so glad you used his hat as reference for the shield.
