For twilight's cutie mark design it's supposed to represent the 7 and their characteristics characteristics if you look at the second episode you'll find 6 training Lights and one Pink star In the middle after all 6 of the crystals Finally turned to their final form that's what it's supposed to represent supposed to represent the 7

I think the mane six's cutie marks make a LOT more sense if you take into account the idea that cutie marks don't just represent the special talent, but also HOW they came to realise this (adorable designs though, they're literally so lovely id love to see more of this speedpaint/commentary videos, i love your lddshadowlady content but that just opened me up to following you on instagram and your art just scratches my brain so well) im literally just yapping because i love cutie marks this is NOT me going "Pebblee did these all wrong >:[" i looooove the interpretations Fluttershy's connection with animals IS mostly seen with mammals, but she realises this while on a cloud of butterflies and realising how gentle the world can be; that seems to really give standing to the theory of the marks representing the events too. Applejack's also being her talent just being in general a reliable pony, represented by apples for her coming home to her family. Rainbowdash is the same in her special talent being fast flying but she LEARNS that doing the sonic rainboom, but her special talent isn't doing them. Cutie marks DO also seem to have a bit of a genetic component which makes sense since magic is atleast a bit genetic (luna and celestia being the sun and moon magic related sisters, pony race genetics, the apple family, the pear family, ect) i adore Rarity redesigns and i understand the reason for people usually defaulting to sewing needles but (and this may seem counter intuitive to my reasoning for shy's mark being butterflies) i feel it takes away from her talent which is finding the beauty in everything i.e the diamonds in the rocks. And i get that so much of her identity is being a designer and i think her cutie mark NOT reflecting that shows her off so much more, sh has interests she has ambition and it's NOT her destiny And Twilight's cutie mark in theory i LOVE especially since i think her special talent is LEARNING magic so it looks like it fits so much but the only problem i have is her original cutie mark is the symbol of the Tree of Harmony as a representation of her destiny and that's why Celestia takes her in as her personal student, just like how Cadence's cutie mark was the crystal heart which is why they knew she was the one who needed to lead the crystal empire
This! This is this first video I’ve seen of Pebblee but I loveee her redesigns. Also not familiar with pony/horse anatomy, so seeing it not only being drawn but stylized as well felt like magic (pun intended) 😂 The only thing that kinda rubbed me the wrong way was how it seemed like she didn’t know the story behind why every cutie mark is what it is. But hey, I love story the most in any fiction so others prob don’t care lol. And she worked her own relevant meanings, so it’s great anyways ^^
I may be reading into it to much but I interpret the three apples as somewhat representative of her siblings and granny. Since that's her core family group.
I headcannon Rainbow Dash is long sighted (sidenote, longsighted people sometimes see farther things better than normal sighted people), but she'd die before she lets anyone know, and so those glasses are prescription. She makes excuses to put on the glasses when she needs to read something, saying she 'forgot' to take them off.

i think it might be intentional that it looks a bit like a compass too. Like her friends guided her or something, like a compass and all that, and how her magic sorta guides the magical friendship thing
I'm pretty sure that the similar body types were not only for easier animation, but also for toy production. If all the toys for the main characters have the same shape, you don't have to make different molds for them.
4:52 fun fact, that’s actually true in the show, she starts out as the same height as everypony else and every so often gained a few pixels of height to the point in later seasons she was often the tallest pony in the scene
Over the last few weeks I've been OBSESSED with mlp redesigns, and this video is now one of my favs, if not my top fav! I love intricate details and symbolism in character designs so this was right up my alley. I'd love to see Sunset, the princesses, or any other secondary characters in your style if you decide to make more designs!! :]

Fluttershy's redesign is definitely my favourite, but it could also be that I like the art of her the best in how it conveys the changes she goes through. Especially with the poses.

Not to be like nit picky-the designs are absolutely GORGEOUS and i love them so much, but rarity’s cutie mark isnt specifically relating to her talent to create things, it was her talent at finding exquisite gems, and thats also why her names rarity, and not something related to sewing. The gems she finds are also the reason shes so successful in the fashion industry :3
I really love how you made everyone exept starlight look at their past/future self because they're okay with their past, but starlight isn't and that's why she doesn't look at her past/future self

I hope you see this because I think it's important for you to know- Ive never seen an artist handle themselves so amazingly. What I mean is that you critized your past drawings but in a very CONSTRUCTIVE way, you were truly looking to grow and change but without absolutely hating your psdt designs. Plus, you also did exactly the right thing of giving yourself a 2 day break for rainbows design! I just loved seeing all of that ❤

Oh my gosh. OhMyGosh OHMYGOSH OH MY GOSH! I LOVE THIS SO FREAKING MUCH! I have NO idea how you managed to communicate so much of their character growth between the two designs, but you did it so well! I have no words for it! I'm gonna try, but I am NOT normal about how good the mid-story redesigns communicates the way their personalities changed as they developed! Just. I mean! Twilight goes from high strung mistrusting to wise and open. Applejack goes from a bit reserved and distant to almost in-your-face warmth. Fluttershy goes from debilitatingly shy to sweet with hidden strength. Rarity goes from fashionable young lady to seasoned business woman. Pinkie goes from excitable and immature to responsibly bubbly. Starlight goes from obsessive and fake to inquisitive and a little wild. And Rainbow Dash goes from insecure with something to prove, to bold and confident. I really have no clue how you infused so much of their personality and their development into their design changes, but you did and it has me actually frothing at the mouth. OH MY GOSH!
For twilight's og mark. Twilights talent is magic in general, but as others have mentioned, the big star is her while the white star represent the future friends she will find, and due to them all being connected through dash's rainboom. But it also represents the elmentents of harmony and as we know very well, friendship is MAGIC. And what is twilight's talent? Magic!

OMG! Your desings are amazig. You conveyed the distinctive details of each character so accurately that I still don’t have words to describe my delight. The decision to change Rarity and Rainbow's fur into a dark color was remarkable!
I absolutely love the designs!! Out of all the MLP redesigns I've seen (which is quite a lot I'd say) these are my absolute favourite!! And also I never get to see a Starlight Glimmer redesign so I'm very happy you done her too since she's one of my favourite characters ^^
I understand why rarity might suit the black fur, I feel like black is a super rich and elegant color and suits her a lot. But I think that the purple on her hair looks really off with the black fur, and I was thinking in changing the hair color, but then it wouldn't feel right, idk black works with the gold accents and looks like beautiful marble but not the shade of purple. Anyways, thats just my opinion, I absolutely loved the desings, and I really like your vision. The fact that you made two versions of them is just 10 times better
honestly I think out of all the redesigns that I've seen pop up more and more these have to be some of my favorites. I think the changes made really fit, be it adding more colors to the designs that kinda feel like the the colors added in the rainbow power while also feeling like they would just happen in this world, or not as over designed as the actual rainbow power. I think adding to the cutie marks to make them feel apart of the character instead of just stamps put there by ~*magic*~ is really cool. kind makes me wonder about how the markings show up for other ponies through out their lives. like is it all related to the growth that they go through or do the main 6 and those they heavily effect (like Starlight) just have the really big displays due to what they represent in the world. I just think that is a really cool thought experiment. I honestly can't even pick my favorite, I love all the changes, be it from adding in self customization like with Pinky and Rainbow dying their hair and maybe their hoofs, or just the accessories they have with them. it makes me think about how cutie marks appear and more so how ponies name their kids and if those kids change or modify their names as they grow up. and I just can't get over the idea of the additions to their markings growing as they do.
i LOVE that you brought the cutiemarks together, yet still personal! it feels more unique to each character, but cohesive among the group (like a better way of doing the cmc ^^) i would LOVE LOVE to see you do a design for sunset too! as i personally see her as a part of the main cast ^-^ overall, great designs!! i hope you do more art videos!

Your artstyle is so nice. I've considered doing redesigns of my own but I only have access to traditional mediums and I haven't yet found a way to make MLP look quite right in trad mediums yet. These are probably my favourite redesigns of the mane six so far.
Dude they’re so creative and precious I adore Fluttershy’s and Pinkie’s new designs. I’m in love with the idea of Pinkie having a bracelet representing her friends.
My personal favorite redesigns are Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Applejack. I loved how you made Fluttershy look more "shy" and down to Earth with her look. It still has that pop of color that Fluttershy likes, but its also not super bright and still screams "soft girl vibes"! I think you nailed it with Pinkies design. I loved how you made her hair more curly and I love how you made her design have a lot more of a "sweet" feel to it. She definitely screams "I love to bake and party" but with a more sugary sweet and friendly vibe, I just love how you gave more of a visible personality to her besides the ordinary "Happy happy!"(I also really love her design because Im a sucker for sweets and the color pink!) And Applejacks I love because, well for 1 shes orange(and its one of my favorite colors). But also, you really represented her strength and her independence a lot more. You also made her look more mature too. And I also love the little fur things you added on her hooves its just so cute 🥰 Equally tho, they all are lovely and very beautiful ❤️ Also, can you do a redesign of the mlp Princesses(Luna, Celestia, and Cadence) and a redesign of the mlp villians(Queen of the Changelings, Nightmare Moon, etc)? My favorite mlp character in general is definitely Luna though, I wish they added more of a celestial or Celtic vibe to Luna so I would love to see especially her redesign! ❤️😊
not sure if another comment already pointed this out but technically Twilight’s cutie mark is the literal symbol of magic in universe so her whole entire thing being centered around magic just makes it impossible for me to change it to anything else in ANY of my redesigns. not to mention the 5 stars representing her friends as the other elements of harmony as well.

I also love how you took aspects from your old designs and simply improved on them - I often see my own old designs as something “bad” and try to create something entirely new and “better,” but that’s not the case at all!!

Ive never seen an artist handle themselves so amazingly. What I mean is that you critized your past drawings but in a very CONSTRUCTIVE way, you were truly looking to grow and change but without absolutely hating your psdt designs. Plus, you also did exactly the right thing of giving yourself a 2 day break for rainbows design! I just loved seeing all of that ❤

Oh my gosh. OhMyGosh OHMYGOSH OH MY GOSH! I LOVE THIS SO FREAKING MUCH! I have NO idea how you managed to communicate so much of their character growth between the two designs, but you did it so well! I have no words for it! I'm gonna try, but I am NOT normal about how good the mid-story redesigns communicates the way their personalities changed as they developed! Just. I mean! Twilight goes from high strung mistrusting to wise and open. Applejack goes from a bit reserved and distant to almost in-your-face warmth. Fluttershy goes from debilitatingly shy to sweet with hidden strength. Rarity goes from fashionable young lady to seasoned business woman. Pinkie goes from excitable and immature to responsibly bubbly. Starlight goes from obsessive and fake to inquisitive and a little wild. And Rainbow Dash goes from insecure with something to prove, to bold and confident. I really have no clue how you infused so much of their personality and their development into their design changes, but you did and it has me actually frothing at the mouth. OH MY GOSH!
For twilight's og mark. Twilights talent is magic in general, but as others have mentioned, the big star is her while the white star represent the future friends she will find, and due to them all being connected through dash's rainboom. But it also represents the elmentents of harmony and as we know very well, friendship is MAGIC. And what is twilight's talent? Magic!

OMG! Your desings are amazig. You conveyed the distinctive details of each character so accurately that I still don’t have words to describe my delight. The decision to change Rarity and Rainbow's fur into a dark color was remarkable!

I absolutely love the designs!! Out of all the MLP redesigns I've seen (which is quite a lot I'd say) these are my absolute favourite!! And also I never get to see a Starlight Glimmer redesign so I'm very happy you done her too since she's one of my favourite characters ^^
This is probably my favorite redesign of them of all time, you stuck w them so faithfully and they arent too busy either. it all makes somuch sense
I understand why rarity might suit the black fur, I feel like black is a super rich and elegant color and suits her a lot. But I think that the purple on her hair looks really off with the black fur, and I was thinking in changing the hair color, but then it wouldn't feel right, idk black works with the gold accents and looks like beautiful marble but not the shade of purple.
Anyways, thats just my opinion, I absolutely loved the desings, and I really like your vision. The fact that you made two versions of them is just 10 times better

honestly I think out of all the redesigns that I've seen pop up more and more these have to be some of my favorites. I think the changes made really fit, be it adding more colors to the designs that kinda feel like the the colors added in the rainbow power while also feeling like they would just happen in this world, or not as over designed as the actual rainbow power. I think adding to the cutie marks to make them feel apart of the character instead of just stamps put there by ~*magic*~ is really cool. kind makes me wonder about how the markings show up for other ponies through out their lives. like is it all related to the growth that they go through or do the main 6 and those they heavily effect (like Starlight) just have the really big displays due to what they represent in the world. I just think that is a really cool thought experiment.
I honestly can't even pick my favorite, I love all the changes, be it from adding in self customization like with Pinky and Rainbow dying their hair and maybe their hoofs, or just the accessories they have with them. it makes me think about how cutie marks appear and more so how ponies name their kids and if those kids change or modify their names as they grow up. and I just can't get over the idea of the additions to their markings growing as they do.
i LOVE that you brought the cutiemarks together, yet still personal! it feels more unique to each character, but cohesive among the group (like a better way of doing the cmc ^^)
i would LOVE LOVE to see you do a design for sunset too! as i personally see her as a part of the main cast ^-^

Your artstyle is so nice. I've considered doing redesigns of my own but I only have access to traditional mediums and I haven't yet found a way to make MLP look quite right in trad mediums yet. These are probably my favourite redesigns of the mane six so far.

Dude they’re so creative and precious I adore Fluttershy’s and Pinkie’s new designs. I’m in love with the idea of Pinkie having a bracelet representing her friends.
My personal favorite redesigns are Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Applejack. I loved how you made Fluttershy look more "shy" and down to Earth with her look. It still has that pop of color that Fluttershy likes, but its also not super bright and still screams "soft girl vibes"!
I think you nailed it with Pinkies design. I loved how you made her hair more curly and I love how you made her design have a lot more of a "sweet" feel to it. She definitely screams "I love to bake and party" but with a more sugary sweet and friendly vibe, I just love how you gave more of a visible personality to her besides the ordinary "Happy happy!"(I also really love her design because Im a sucker for sweets and the color pink!)
And Applejacks I love because, well for 1 shes orange(and its one of my favorite colors). But also, you really represented her strength and her independence a lot more. You also made her look more mature too. And I also love the little fur things you added on her hooves its just so cute 🥰
Equally tho, they all are lovely and very beautiful ❤️
Also, can you do a redesign of the mlp Princesses(Luna, Celestia, and Cadence) and a redesign of the mlp villians(Queen of the Changelings, Nightmare Moon, etc)?
My favorite mlp character in general is definitely Luna though, I wish they added more of a celestial or Celtic vibe to Luna so I would love to see especially her redesign! ❤️😊

not sure if another comment already pointed this out but technically Twilight’s cutie mark is the literal symbol of magic in universe so her whole entire thing being centered around magic just makes it impossible for me to change it to anything else in ANY of my redesigns. not to mention the 5 stars representing her friends as the other elements of harmony as well.
