In my opinion Miraculous Ladybug is just kinda shit now. The writers don’t even know what they’re doing anymore and it literally makes no sense. I also dislike the way they use the same old recycled villains like so much for creativity. Some ppl even still like “Ms Stalker” just because she’s the protagonist. Literally the Mary-Sue of the show. I just hope it gets better and they add in more cool scenes and details maybe then I’ll continue watching the show🗿

This show and a lot of other shows have problems with flanderization (named off flander from the simpsons)
Where characters start out as 3D people who are normal and flawed, but as the show goes on their traits become more extreme, and they become caricatures of the original person.
This is seen with marionette as she starts with just a crush on adrien but as the show goes on it becomes so creepy and gross like the wax figure scene. Or when she started becoming the cause of the majority of akumatizations
.Same thing with cat noir, although he was always flirting with ladybug he wasn’t as much of a nice guy about it back then and he didn’t act like the victim when he got rejected by ladybug.

It's really unfortunate, cause the immense popularity of miraculous causes the show to extend more seasons, prolonging the show. This is why some show need to die with a bang, not a whimper. And it's not just detrimental for miraculous, other show from Zag Toons were literally sideline causes of miraculous

I'm mostly just annoyed that they hyped up them as a couple for so many episodes and then Luca shows up and marinette completely falls in love with him (I'm not disagreeing that he is about as good as you can get in terms of romantic partners) which alone could be just a "ok that was a waste of time but at least we can move on" if they made something interesting with the characters but then they decided to fuck up everything and go back to the status quo for no reason, it's a similar problem I've been having recently with the show where they are like "let's use x concept for 1 episode and immediately go back to how things were"

I'm not a fan of everybody getting their own Kwami, like listen, listen. The designs are cool! They're amazing and absolutely stunning! But I feel like this loses the focus of the plot, and not to mention how time consuming it is for Marinette to constantly switch out the Kwami and take them back from everybody. It's cool as a concept but with the show design where everything resets every single time it's just confusing.
Their whole class will have a Miraculous, idk it just takes away the magical secrecy aspect and feels like Oprah, "You get a car, you get a car, and YOU GET A CAR!" When it was supposed to focus on 2 kids balancing their daily lives and heroic deeds and we barely know how Adrien deals with his life. I feel like the show is getting farther away than what it was intended to be. Plus it's difficult to balance such a large cast, Marinette and Adrien are the main characters but with every Miraculous user they have to share some screen time and they just. KEEP. ADDING. MORE. PEOPLE.
I haven't made the time to watch the show since S1 and sadly that may be for better because WOW. This sounds like a trainwreck. I'll stick to AO3 fanfics 😰 Marinette was so much more likeable and less creepy and Adrien with a real personality.
I think it’s just potential designs that might be in, for example, an AU. It’s just fun to draw sometimes even if it isn’t canon yk?
The other heroes didn't have enought screen time eigher. I think it will stop at 17 heroes and other heroes will be on other series of Zag.
Especially the time traveling miraculous make everything so complicated. It's not that akumas become stronger, it's just characters get more dumb and careless when smth like that is involved in the plot 🙄

I honestly think a big problem could be fixed SIMPLY by getting rid of that "you can't hold onto the miraculous" rule.
1) If the person is a fit, leaving it with them takes pressure off Marinette to care for every Kwami. It also just...would make sense, like why was he okay with giving away the two most powerful but not with giving away the rest?
2)It would/could act as a character development moment. The "Hey, I am trusting you with this powerful object and being. You must take care of it and not abuse it's power or I will take it back" would help act as a developer for all the characters.
3)The rule makes no sense. Flat and simple, that rule was obviously put in place to keep Marinette as the focus(excluding Adrien because...well look at how the writers treat him). Logistically it makes no sense to force the most important character for dealing with the bad guys doing both that, babysitting the Kwamis, and getting the other heros.

I didnt watch any of season 4 yet so I dont know what happens outside of the clips played on screen, but I honestly don't mind hawkmoth stealing adrian's miraculous after finding out his identity SO LONG that there's some more inner conflict.
Like in the clips it showed hawkmoth being shocked, but it didnt seem like he had an internal battle with himself tryimg to decide whether he wants to snatch the miraculous and risk adrian hating him, or to just stop cuz it isnt worth fighting his son. I just feel like for big plot points that aren't gonna be erased through time, there should be a little more depth to make characters 3 dimensional

Both the main couple are such creeps. Chat Noir is CONSTANTLY throwing himself at a girl who doesn’t like him and refuses to take no for an answer and Marinette is a full blown stalker. They honestly deserve each other.
One thing I can say for sure about the creators of Miraculous Ladybug: They know how to make one addicting show, but fail miserably at making it actually good.
The amount fanfic has changed my perception of how these characters act is INSANE- like god marinette/ladybug is really just like THAT huh?? And don't get me started on the Adrien/chat noir stuff. Its kinda refreshing to see people be just as frustrated with the show as you are. I hate love this show- I love it- I hate it...

What I think is kind of wrong is that Adrien himself and really everyone else assumes that if someone gives Chat Noir/Adrien attention as a hero they assume that person is in love with him. Like what if that person thinks Noir is cooler than Ladybug and just wanted to support him with like no romantic feelings. Idk something that I noticed
Gotta be honest, I watched this show for like the first season, and dropped it like a hot potato after the Lila introduction episode[s], [which I'm pretty sure was the final of S1?]. So far this seems to have been one of the best choices I've ever made. Especially after seeing this...
Good for you. Season was full of passion that i can agree on, a simple kids show. Season 2 yeah it has its flaws but it's tolerable. Season 3 is when sh*t went down, from unnecessary plotline to literally a build up that went nowhere. Season 4 is basically just rolling dumpster fire and everyone just kinda accept that this is fine.

Even if I myself left because Lila angered me so much [in the good villainous way] and I simply never picked it back up afterwards. It's disappointing to hear how they've taken all these characters and made them frustrating or even unbearable. Kinda makes you wonder how someone would rewrite the show to be less terrible? I'd like to see Ginga-Ninja's take on that!
Season 1 was the best actually. Season 2 had the best concepts and then after that it went downhill
I watch up to season 3’s first episode and drop it. It was mostly I couldn’t catch up because Netflix didn’t have season three yet, but then I see talk that is got bad and was like “Yeah imma just check out other stuff”.
44:00 yup. no consequences at all. I once was told "well it was confirmed to be a 'what if' episode, so if you don't like it, that's on you" but that's not an excuse! Saying it's a "what if" episode does NOT excuse the bad writing and lack of commitment just to milk the hopes of the fandom of their identities finally being revealed.
They're really gonna say that when we've now had "follow-up" episodes to those "what ifs" (Cat Blanc & Ephemeral, Oblivio & Glaciator 2)...
Which ended up cheapening the first, or ALL involved episodes in one fell swoop. 🤦♀️

The thing that bothers me the most of "Dearest Family" is the fact that they tease that Tikki has a human form on the trailer of this episode , only to give us nothing...
Another problem I’ve had with the show is that they’re just kinda perpetually bad at making child characters. They never really seem to have any form of depth outside of “Annoying bratty whingy child” and it’s just??? Children aren’t all just one-note brats??? Yes they can be annoying and won’t listen but they have interests and they try so hard to be liked by older kids, and they can be shy and sweet and polite. Get better at writing child characters please :/

Miraculous ladybug is a show that I've loved for years. However it gets to a point where it's extremely annoying. Marinette Adrien are not good characters, The only reason that Luca is a good character is because they refuse to spend time on him. The only reason Chloe was a good character was because the head writer for the show wasn't involved.
To me that says something immensely about the show and it's problems. The people working on it actually care and want to make a good show and it was very apparent from Chloe's arc. What we got during that season in my opinion was the best season of miraculous.
And once again the main creator of the show is dragging it through the mud. Chloe became a good character, Zoe, never had to exist because guess what. She is what Chloe was trying to be except Chloe had realistic character development over a long period of time that was snapped away from her in the blink of an eye because the shows creator didn't like her.
It's so disappointing to see and it's really unfortunate. You keep hoping for better and it's just not there and the reason you still have that hope is because there's good writers on the show but they can't do what they're good at because those creator of the show is shit.
I could write a goddamn thesis on the wasted potential of this show. IT COULDVE BEEN GRAVITY-FALLS TIER BUT THEY THREW IT AWAY

I still can't get over the fact we spent like 1 season and a half where we introduced new love interests for Adrien and Marinette, those being Kagami and Luka, spent an entire season for them to come to terms with their crushes, get them together in the last episodes of the third season, have a special that showed the tiniest of glimpses into their relationship... TO JUST BREAK THEM UP IN THE FIRST TWO EPISODES OF THE NEW SEASON! Like i know they were going to break up at some point (The show just loves to force Adrinette, despite both being really creepy regarding their respective crushes), BUT GODAMN IT, AT LEAST WAIT A FEW MORE EPISODES BEFORE BREAKING THEM UP!
I absolutely HATE how fucking hyped the last episode got me only for the writers to rip that literally 3 minutes of them knowing their identity to SHREDS. This show is no longer "haha,funny garbage people can make fun of" it's a shitshow, literally.

I stopped watching after they threw Chloe's character development right out of the window when the redemption arc was going so well. Good to know it was the right choice. It had so much potential but they just can't stop wasting them all!

One of the few things keeping me interested in this show is the English Dub. Christina Vee and Bryce Papenbrook and the rest of the cast always sell it and always sound so invested and passionate about each of their characters, no matter how godawful the writing gets.

Idk what's up with Miraculous' character design and transformation sequences for heroes because Mylene's sequence was kinda bland but her costume worked fine while Juleka's transformation was pretty frickin awesome and her costume is one of, if not the best in the show. Consistency where?

THANK YOU I loved MariChat so much and they were always my favorite dynamic, but the writers REALLY have a special way of totally ruining everything about their characters and plots. I haven’t been following this show for a long time, but Marinette constantly flip-flopping and being a hypocrite with Chat while also being increasingly weird towards Adrien and Chat becoming a total brat/nice guy about Ladybug……. I hate it here. This train wreck is just too wild to take my eyes off it though

I am into this show only for fan content and for the stories I make up in my head about it.
I hate this god damn forsaken show but the character concepts are cool, so I stay for the comics, for the fanfics, for the art, for what the fans turn it into.
Imma be like- dead honest. I have watched very VERY little of the actual show. All of season 1, the beginning of season 2, like- 2 or 3 episodes of season 3 that intrigued me, and 0 episodes of season 4. And the season 1 and 2 thing was like, literally 5 years ago when I was into this show- the actual show- when I was in 6th grade. I’m in 11th grade now, to put it into perspective.
I am in a literal ROLEPLAY where we take the very basics of MLB and then make our own characters, sometimes make our own miraculouses, and then make up our own story where we’re fighting villains AND a company who wants to talk over the world. And it’s fun!! And it gets DARK sometimes!!! Like a member of a company literally hunting down someone in Shanghai to KILL THEM in order to get information out of someone- not to mention a character who is a literal vampire and fights evil just to have a good image so they could sneak and drain people dry. I play both those characters- plus 2 more. And god, the story is SO GOOD. And everyone in the server just makes memes about everything that happens in an episode. I DO THIS TO FORGET ABOUT THIS *FUCKING SHOW*

The way you panicked when the episode was in french and it took me a good 10 sec to understand what's going on because french is my first language and I was just there like "well, things look pretty normal here" sddddkvldm also thanks to you now I know what's going on during season 4 without having to actually watch it because goddamn this show can be SO frustrating most of the time lmao the best thing that come out of the show's probably the videos you do about it, they're always great to watch!
Honestly, I fell out of the show for a very long while, and I'm going to say this, the show had so much potential. Like, it had SO MUCH POSSIBLITIES TO BE GOOD!! But it failed, in so many ways. Some of the designs could be better, and the story needs a change. It definitely needs a change. It became so repeative, to the point where it's just disappointing. Almost every episode literally goes
1. Someone gets upset or angry
2. Said someone gets akumatized
3. Cat Noir and Ladybug goes to save the day
4. Cat Noir gets treated like shit/becomes an incel while Ladybug is aggresive towards Cat Noir yet gives the exact opposite emotions to confuse him
5. Ladybug figures out how to save the day
6. The Akumatized victim is saved and everything is repaired
7. Everyone basically forgets the lesson of the day after the episode
8. Repeat
It doesn't help that thanks to the time traveling as the Bunny and Snake, they can go "Oh, this happened" and then takes it away, leaving everyone unsatisfied. I'm just sticking to the show at this point to figure out what the Goat Miraculous does, because I have been deeply obsessed and I NEED TO KNOW!
Luka knowing their identities does nothing for the story.
He is already encouraging Marinette to talk to Adrien, this is basically him thinking it’s more reason they need to talk. Or realizes Adrian and Marinette do like each other and are just unaware. Or he finally understands why she was so secretive and flaky all this time.
And when we could’ve had him say something in Ephemeral because Ladybug said it was ok for him to know Chat’s identity. He just stayed silent and we went through that episode for another reason that amounts to nothing. I only see him doing another encouraging speech to Ladybug and using the “I know because you’re Marinette.” line, shocking her for 2 seconds. Then she turns appreciative and goes beat whomever they’re fighting. Leaving that reveal bland and meaningless.
I’m getting to a point where I’m about to rewrite this story myself just so I’m happy. The show has a good concept but the execution is horrendous. When there is an important detail it usually just goes over my head because I’m bored halfway through since episodes are repetitive.

I was kind excited about this, cause I personally had to stop watching this show for kinda the same reasons. It was awful and it was messing with my shipper heart because who used to be cute and perfect together became super toxic or just....tried too hard without any actual development....it hurt. A lot. But I did love the start of it, and I loved the first kwami swap video, so this seemed like a great way to get back into it. But now....I love the designs, but hearing what’s going on in the show now.....Goddess, I’m so disappointed.

At this point im starting to believe thatthe writers don't know how to write or make big bad boss battle scene with big consequences bc each time we get them it also involves cat and ladybug's identity reveal to lure us in, then they just give us a fake out so none of it happened. Like 🤨?
