    I’m a basketball player but I love football workouts. I feel like it translate so much more efficiently when it comes to speed, explosiveness, and strength. It Literally changes your life as an athlete. Great video tho for us hoopers!

      I definitely see that. Football players and sprinters have the ultimate workout for an overall athletes. You can put a football player in most sports and do very well. Because of they train.

      That’s very true. However I’ll say one thing, football training is a lot more heavy lifts which is good for basketball players. But you don’t want to over do it and build tightness. You want to do those 1-2 times a week to build the strength and explosiveness and then do workouts like this video to stay fluid and smooth so u don’t tighten up the body and become a stiff player.

      Like, seriously. And we appreciate the vertical programs, but what about change of direction, multi planar workouts for basketball...can you do a football agility work and it carryover just the same??? I'd love to see something guard/forward specific to mix up with my skills training! Thanks Coach!

    Just wanted to ask if you could do a video on some exercises which help develop a fast and quick second jump. Playing basketball in traffic does not give much room for hip and arm movement sometimes. Thank you for all the great videos.

    I often see guys training change of direction movement in nike frees. I don't think it's a good choice becouse they got no lateral support and they roll over the feet during the plant causing instability and potentially ankle injury. what do you think?

    • @TheDREK1
      @TheDREK1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      zalmat Itz always best to educate athletes on which type of shoes they should have on during their different training sessions.

    I think their footwork is wrong when side stepping on a defensive stance. To maintain balance and length, push with your left foot when going right but dont lift or slide with your left foot until right foot is planted and vice versa. Even if the player is not that athletic i think its the right footwork.
