This game turned from a simple loveable battle royale with people in dinosaur costumes fighting gingerbread people with guns, To chaos I can't keep track of anymore.
I love the simple and classic Fortnite, stuff like Ch1 S1-4 and Ch2 S1-2, when the map is just basic grasslands and forests, there’s a simple loot pool, and the whole game feels really grounded but also unique. I’m not saying the really crazy and over the top Fortnite is bad, I just love those early seasons from the first 2 chapters. It felt like back in the day, people were playing for wins rather than playing for kills, so you’d get people actively avoiding fights, and you don’t really get that anymore.
I usually never comment on any videos but this got randomly recommended to me and I don't regret watching a single second of your video. Thanks for summing up the personally, greatest time of fortnite.
I wouldn’t say the game is super hated now. It’s still one of if not the most popular games on the market. And it’s still a game I am in love with. I grew up playing Halo 3, Halo Reach, and Halo 4 as a kid as well as some MW and Blackops. Some people do like to say Fortnite is for kids but I know several people who are college age like myself who play this game pretty religiously. Fortnite is a special game and as someone who was a kid in the 2000s when all the big “legacy” games were out on Xbox360 and PS3 I’d still rank Fortnite up there among them as my personal favorites of all time
I didn't play during season 0, but I can tell you that I had these same feelings when I first played the game. Jumping from the bus for the first time, all of that first game was amazing, and I haven't gotten that feeling back sense.

I didn't start playing until the tail end of Chapter 1, Season 7, so it's fun to watch these vids about the "good old days" and see what I missed. :) I still play Fortnite every day and enjoy it (and honestly, I'm not the greatest player, so I doubt I'd still be playing if they hadn't added Zero Build and SBMM -- I like that I can actually win maybe 10% of the time!) but I do miss the Chapter 1 & 2 days. I think Chapter 2, Season 2 was my favorite, with the Agency, the Grotto, etc. It was just a lot of fun. But every chapter has had its charms for me. I agree that the money-grubbing and collabing has gotten a little ridiculous. I get that they're a business and need to make money, but I don't think they're going about it in the best way sometimes. Oh well. As long as I'm having fun with it, I'll keep playing! Thanks for the great vid!
I started playing in the pre season and last night I was looking back at some old clips and it looked so fun and it made me want to get back into Fortnite. Then I remembered that Fortnite is a completely different game now and It's a game I no longer enjoy.
What made it unique was the graphics for me, it was detailed yet cartoonish. Looking at the graphics now it makes me feel cold, like when season 2 came out. My school was cancelled beacuse of the snow storms and just playing the game felt fresh.
I miss how simple it was all of chapter 1 and even the start of chapter 2 now its so complicated its insane I miss these times we need a simple map again
I been feeling like we'll never get a fresh game like fortnite ever again. Ngl u give me a lil bit of hope xd. Next time around I'm definitely making the most of it
My 1st ever victory royales was in the thanos mode in season 4, and I got it by beating Thanos. He was already low, I had some impulse nades to move around, at the end he decided to jump which made him stationary for a white and I hit him with AR, then he died.

1. Fortnite used to be easier because it was new, and players weren't as good. 2. It had an identity. An identity that no longer exists. 3. It was simple. It's still sort of simple now, but back there there wasn't a lot. Nowadays, Fortnite is so corporate. It's UI change is stuff the players never asked for, the Metaverse is something that we never asked for (LEGO, Festival, Racing).
Bro I remember starting this game in season 3, I was like 8, and I just fell in love with it. I have so many fond memories, my first skin, the seasons, my first battlepass, sadly not my first win but just so much good memories and dont even get me started on Season 7's Christmas. But around halfway through chapter 2 I just couldnt take it anymore, the game was too sweaty, too much stuff to buy, I came back about a year ago and have been having some fun, obviously last november was so friggin good. Love the video man, wish Epic would make OG Fortnite a mode or something, btw check out Rewind Royale, its a creative mode that almost exactly replicated OG Fortnite
they left paragon due to fortnite. i was playing paragon instead of fornite. now i play fornite instead of paragon. i only didnt play fornite because i got mad after the downloading process failed i just gave up downloading it again and started playing in 2021 because my brother wanted to play with me

Fortnite should bring back the old graphics as an option. I think it's do-able but could be wrong. The current graphics is nice but the old graphics just felt better.

I remeber my parents gave me 10 dollars each Friday to put on my school lunch bill and I started using it to get skins , and eventually my account was negative and the school called my parents but it was worth it😹

Hitscan is the biggest difference wich makes all new weapons bad and you have to learn to shoot off target wich just sucks thats why reload ranked is way more populair.

i agree with you bro, even tho i love comp fortnite i wish there would be a more casual mode to the game so i can play with my friends that dont know how to play. and also, the comp mindset came from older games like cs 1.6, tf2 and league of legends not really fortnite, its weird tho i used to play cs 1.6 and tf2 and those games were able to split the comp and casual community pretty well.
