BIG STACK! (PATTERN HAUL) NEW LOOK, BUTTERICK & VOGUE | including some old gems!

- In this video I go thru a treasure of older patterns that I found at Joann Fabrics in Port Richey, FL. I also model a knit top made from New Look 6150 View B.
These are the patterns listed in order of appearance:
NEW LOOK Patterns:
N6150 - Knit top in two lengths has surplice or boat neckline and can be made with 3/4 sleeves, ruched short sleeves or sleeveless.
N6453 - Easy to sew knit top pattern with asymmetric hemlines, sleeveless or cap sleeves and princess seams.
N6582 - Misses' pattern includes a blouse, pants with optional side slits, and a clutch.
N6735 - Easy knit cardigan, tops, pants and skirt.
BUTTERICK Patterns:
B6967 - Very loose-fitting robe with front zipper closing has stand collar, long set-in sleeves, stitched hems and length variations. View A has front patch pockets. View B has side seam pockets.
B6729 - Dress has waistband and hemline flounces. A: sleeveless. B: short sleeves with flounce.
B6624 - Fitted sheath dress has neck facings and invisible back zipper with hook and eye and neckline, sleeve and skirt variations.
B6966 - Close-fitting, pullover tops have neckline variations, elbow or long sleeves and narrow hems. Fitted, straight-legged or slightly flared pants have elastic waist and no side seams.
VOGUE Patterns:
V9006 - Pullover top has draped, cowl-neck front neckline extending into back collar.
V9021 - Fitted dress has front and back extending into flutter sleeves, low armholes, back zipper and hemline slit.
V1579 - Close fitting lined dress has attached cape and side back invisible zipper. Belt has bow and snap closures.
V1952 - Wrap front dresses have neck bands, hand sewn hems and sleeve and skirt variations. View A has 3/4 sleeves ending in bands with split detail. View B has short sleeves and collar.

Oh my, I can tell that you had lots of fun getting all those patterns. I don’t own any New Look patterns, as the sizing is a bit limited 😅. Your blouse is beautiful, and a dress would be really nice too. The fabric you chose is stunning, a simple polka dot should be a staple in a wardrobe 👍👍😆😆. I had planned to go to the Lakeland Expo, but I decided to visit my mother for her 74th birthday 🎂. Perhaps I can go next year 👍.

Forgot to mention: V1579 dress pattern was one that I just love, but decided to pass on. I'm past the age of wearing dresses like those anymore - bummer!!! Love your NL top make! Very pretty and looks great on you. 😊

I love the incorporation of showing the line drawings! Robe B6967 :) I got it the last sale before Christmas, but haven't started it, please let us know where you get the zipper, I got a coat zipper, but it is heavier than necessary. I missed last week's Butterick/Vogue sale :0 Your community notification didn't show up for me uggg But I went yesterday for the McCalls sale, my store amazingly did have the new stuff out!! Wow! First time ever! I'm really excited about M8392, a nightshirt and robe with fringe trim, so different! And I picked up the latest 80's Laura Ashley re-releases! Very inspired, Grace! Great job :)
Definitely Sirena, I will be showing line drawings from the instructions sheet going forward. I will definitely post, in my collab video later this month, where I buy the zipper for the robe. Hey Grace: No, none of my JoAnn's in So. Calif. carry any of the latest patterns of any of the pattern brands. I get the feeling that JoAnn's stopped ordering newer paper patterns to force garment sewists to buy the Ditto system to get them via the mandatory subscription system. Ironically, I have noticed that JoAnn's isn't pushing their Ditto system like they did last year. They are, however, now promoting 40 to 60% off fabric sales and huge multi-buy discounts on notions and thread, as though they are desperately trying to dump as much merch as quickly as possible. BTW: I went to the JoAnn's closest to me yesterday looking for 5 McCall's patterns. Only found 2: one in a pattern drawer, and one in one of the 8 or so huge boxes of patterns laying around on various tables and countertops that don't look like they'll ever get put away. Several of these boxes have been sitting in this classroom-style area for several months. You have to know that the boxes are there and to go through them to (hopefully) find the pattern you're looking for. Honestly, I can't see the company being around at the end of 2024. The Titanic is sinking and the band plays on....

Since Joann’s is close to filing bankruptcy I’m sure vendors are being very careful suppling them with product. My Joann’s is pitiful. They haven’t had new patterns/pattern books for several months. It’s really sad.
It seems like that's the trend at all the stores. It's poor management coming from the top. I agree, it's really sad.
I prefer the Port Richey store rather than Spring Hill store.

Do you have to do full bust alterations? I have been sewing for 60 years, but recently getting back to making myself some garments. A few years ago, the major pattern companies' sizing went all wonky.
