I love princess seams, too. I've been slow to start sewing them, but they are definitely flattering. I also love darts! :D I have your last three patterns already (Vogue 9189, 9839 and 9243), so I definitely like your pattern haul! All those New Look patterns are so nice, especially the knit dress pattern you have been looking for, and the vintage tops. I have a similar Simplicity pattern, but none have that cute little bow across the waist. What a cute detail! Have a happy weekend!

Some great patterns there. I've made NL 6298 a few times and it is really oversized so be warned. It's really nice though with the bottom hem band. How fun to go to a Sewing auction and you got some bargains 👏🏼 , that box is awesome for 2$. Thanks for a fun video ❤ x

Back in the day, those blouses in V9187 were known as a “suit” blouse or “over blouse” meant to be worn to the office, church or on a date with a slim skirt and matching jacket. They were widely available at all price points in solids or florals and mostly with short sleeves and the front notches. The hems were usually faced and interfaced to provide more stability for the bottom notches. They look au Courant with high waisted jeans or skirts!

I could even see that purple one made from light weight denim for summer when it's cool inside. Lucky ladies in your cul-de-sac to hit it off with each other. It's really nice to live close to those we enjoy being with. I once had a friend who lived down the street and we used to walk together, but she has moved to Dallas to be near her children. Hi Diane, Thanks. ♥ I was a little worried about the quality of my video at first since I was very congested. I felt better after my coffee 😉 Coffee is a MUST. ☕ I'm glad you enjoy that. I am very fortunate to have 2 quilt groups within a few miles from my house and that 1 of the groups holds an annual sewing auction. How cool is that?? This is the 3rd year I've attended. They always hold it the week before Thanksgiving. Lots of fun with us crazy ladies bidding on "all things sewing" for a few cents and dollars! AMAZING!!! There are snacks, drinks and even a FREE table! It''s really fun time. I can't wait to make something with that corduroy. Plus I had a stack of muslin in that box! Mystery box for $2!! You wouldn't believe all the fabric they had there. Well, I did have a nice time at the Christmas luncheon today. We had Italian food and exchanged gifts. Deb loved her scented wax warmer.
