Another great video Norman . On the front of the hydro the lever with the linkage that turns on the hydro not the lever on the front right side of the seat is there an o ring that seals it on my 120 ford ? Also my hydro fill plug has a nipple on it for venting is that the right plug ?
Hi Norman, I had a hard time finding the type F transmission oil in Sweden (for my Simplicity Legacy) and I was advised to run the system real hot, drain completely and replace with Dextron 3 oil. It seems a lot of people use the Dextron 3 in their Sundstand 15 hydros so I will give it a try. Great informative video as always perhaps you should ad that when filling gear oil the position of the axle is important to get the level right. But then again that could be a bit obvious to anyone that decided to do this kind of work. Regards Nils
Dexron 3 is the same as type f in the us, I had the same problem I have a 1974 John Deere 140 with the sun strand and now they have different names for the different fluids it's kind of hard to find the right fluids for these old tractors.
I have a ford 100 and 120 but my 100 is a gear drive, it pops oit of every gear when on a hill. I figured it was a detent ball and spring. Any sughestions or where i might find a parts breakdown? Thank you
I have a 1966 ford 100 with a manual transaxle, I drained the oil out and it had a lot of metal in it and I was wondering if you had any suggestions on where to get parts and how to fix it
Hi Dillon. Metal coming out with the oil is bad news. Your best bet is to take it apart and see what broke. You can find used parts on eBay. You may have to find a parts machine and take the transaxle from it. You can also have custom gears made for you if those are damaged but it's expensive.
Yes! It's on our schedule for working on this fall. I hope to have a carburetor ready by 1st quarter of 2018. Depending on how those sell, we will then proceed with a full gasket set, pistons, rods, and main bearings.

Helpful vid keep them up
Great video. I have one of these but mine leaks and needs rebuilt. Do you know where I could find a seal kit for this unit?
Pop off each seal, and you can find them on the net. You can email them to me too, and I can help you.
@@Isavetractors Awesome thank you. I will be in touch.

Hi I was wondering are you ever planning on having pistons or possibly a carburetor for sale for the Onan p series

I have a 18 hp opposed twin and the exhaust seal on the valve has been burnt a couple of times in the past year, why does it do this?
Your running your engine too lean ( too much air) or your exhaust valves are not sealing tight.
