Your mistake was to assume a minicab driver is a professional anything!
It's usually far from it, they are the absolute pits around here and I suspect many of them that share the same vehicle 24*7 don't even have a valid UK licence.
If you make someone slow down when you pull out it's a major on a driving test and you fail. The reason why? If your manoeuvre is only safe because other people have made it safe by correcting their driving (positioning or speed) it was not safe and it demonstrates you have poor decision making/lack awareness of others speed and position. Congratulations you took a major risk for literally nothing enjoy the 2 seconds you saved sitting at the next set of traffic lights.

I suspect most of us have been stuck in traffic behind an accident or something like that - even without a sat-nav to tell us, I would still NEVER go up a slip-road ON to the motorway unless directed by Police. That's absolute insanity no matter how you look at it. Frankly, I'm surprised the Traffice Police hadn't been in attendance much earlier, unless they are/were dealing with the accident a bit further down the road.
A couple of months ago I was on my way to Birmingham, and the exit slip was at a standstill. A people carrier in front of me started reversing, expecting me to reverse, so it could cut across the chevrons and rejoin the motorway. People are very happy to do stupid things it seems.
A morgan plus must be nice in the current weather.

I totally agree that people should not emerge in a way that causes anyone else to slow or otherwise take evasive action. However, I also think - at 0:38 - when you saw that car emerge, you shouldn't have continued up to it at pace and used your horn to admonish the driver. Sometimes you have have to take a deep breath and accept you've been inconvenienced.
Take your point, but after the thirty-fifth occasion on the same jouney I imagine that it grates a bit.
The reason the traffic police hadn't got to the incident on the A21 was that they had been dealing with a black Prius that only had its front offside bumper secured by string! 😊

In my town the streets around two schools have been altered in the last couple of months to make them one way, with traffic lights added to enable better exit onto the main road for those leaving the school. Yesterday afternoon I encountered a 7 tonne tipper truck coming the wrong way up the road. I stopped to have a word with the driver and his attitude was your not the police so what does it matter to you.

The left lane is for Extras, the middle lane is for Supporting Characters and the right lane is for Main Characters, obviously.
I call it the cream lane,I think merc and BMW drivers get special permission to use overtaking lanes as their own .
I really cannot understand people who dont drive for the weather conditions. Bloody audi's!!!

That little swerve as he decided to continue overtaking, with roads that wet, could've easily led to him spinning out or aquaplaning, leading to a serious accident, possibly even killing someone. There's just no need to drive like that. Maybe there's chemicals in the upholstery that makes Audi drivers lose their minds? Always an Audi!
I am English, learnt to drive (properly) in Germany, and live in the EU. I am appauled at the (lack of) driving skills used by a significant number of UK drivers. There is no patience, defensive driving, road trafficflow awareness, too many drivers relying of Daytimerunninglamps in foul weather, (i.e. no rear lights at all) and use of Automatic headlights, which don't work in daylime misty, or rainy conditions (i.e. the road is full of spray so you can not see the AUDI/BMW comming at 80mph in the (clear) rear view mirrors/cameras).[rant over]
Audi drivers use their indicators when overtaking dangerously but never when just turning a corner
im unlike most Audi drivers, I live in the Highlands of Scotland, ive got the S3, RS5 a BMW M3 all for track in the main but road legal, half the time on our narrow roads no chance to overtake, farm vehicles, logging trucks, campervans, you get the gist, my mate almost killed us in his M4 when I was going to get my Z4 old one, 2005, to replace my daily a fiat 500, its only by the grace of luck that the truck oncoming stopped to let us pass, but him and that Audi driver should be banned, ill never drive with him again not on a road

Love watching this channel @London Dashcam, the commentary so makes me laugh!! 😂 But on a serious note, there are some total idiots out there (now I'm not perfect - I only passed my test 1st time nearly 2 years ago now at age 57 - yes I know I left it a bit late, but my hubby says that I'm a better driver than some who have been driving 15/20 years even) It's good to watch these dashcam clips though, shows us "newbies" what NOT to do! 😊👍

8:25 another In Australia ; all pedestrian crossings near schools are controlled by a Lolly Pop man/women with a stop/go sign . Speed limit past all schools is dropped to 40kph/25mph -- one state has a 25kph/15mph limit (yeah, bit of a wtf)
another in Australia; all people riding a push bike must wear helmet --- haven't seen too many helmets in your videos . When the rule was brought in (30+years ago) is the day I stopped riding a bike in a small rural city.

Yea people don't seem to understand that there is a gps on their phones and it's free to use and waze is also free. And you can use it without putting directions in just open it and let it run while you are driving just like you did. So that's why when I see people acting like they don't know where they are going I call bs!!!!!
My truck has a GPS system that I use. It has gotten me into weird places/situations because of road changes that weren't available when I update my GPS. I don't use my phone for anything requiring internet - bloody screen is too small!! I've been lucky that people have taken pity on an out-of-state (USA) driver and given me the room I needed to get into the correct lane, but if I was forced to go around a few blocks to get straightened out, I do it.

Sorry but the cops weren't there for that situation they were responding to an incident that occured the year before ,pretty quick ,one of my customers is still waiting for the cops for the robbery that happened in 1998 the rapid response unit

One of my pet driver hates is drivers with only the park lights on . What is the psychology of "oh it's a little dark --- maybe I should turn my lights on --- where's the light switch --- one click should do ....................... " Later when it's dark they are still driving with the only the parks on. 😠 😡 🤬
Why the duckin' sake not go two clicks to turn bloody head lights on (sort of set and forget) so others can see them when doing something stupid like the clip shows .
Head lights are for "TO BE SEEN" --- you don't really need head lights to drive at night ; especially in built up areas .
Please, learn and practice the ''TWO (2) CLICKS'' rule folks :)
Modern cars can be set so the lights come on automatically, so there really is no excuse for driving with no lights or using (illegally) auxiliary driving lamps

I have to say the cammer appears to believe he is in the right and in some cases he is but, the main issue here is , his hazard perception shows a car may be pulling out from the left or right but why and I will say again why do you not react to the hazards but prefer to maintain speed and then insult them . Case of throwing stones whilst sitting in a glass house

@@thelondondashcam She had plenty of time but didn't make best use of it. You didn't slow, you drove into a box junction before your exit was clear. A slight raising of the accelerator pedal would have cost you no time at all. Why don't you drive with the consideration you feel that you are entitled to?
@@martinbulmer1868 i’ve said it loads of times before I don’t do defensive driving she had to be shown what she did wrong with me using the horn it sends a message, If I was defensive driving she would not know what she did was wrong. it’s a bit like you learn from your mistakes, but how are going to learn from your mistake if you don’t know you’ve made a mistake.

8:30 Pedestrians are perfectly allowed to cross where they choose. It is part of the cherished freedom of the road. They do not have to cross at pedestrian crossing points. It is personal choice. There are not jay-walking laws in this country. Live with it.
And you think that is perfectly fine, perfectly safe, what that man is teaching his child ?
@@thelondondashcam Of course. It is drivers who need to be taught to avoid pedestrians.
I would remind you of the case of Jackson v Murray where a pedestrian steps out from behind a bus directly into the path of a car being driven within the speed limit giving the driver no time to react. It went all the way to the Supreme Court which ruled that the driver was a fault, because if you see a bus then you have to expect pedestrians to emerge suddenly from behind it. Similarly if you pass a school at pick up or drop off time then you have to expect pedestrians to be on the road. It is the duty of drivers not to hit pedestrians and as Rule H2 of the Highway code says "Pedestrians may use any part of the road".
Roads are shared spaces and you really need to learn to share.
@@thelondondashcam it's not an issue. He looked both ways, teaching his child that's what one should do, crossed over an empty lane and over one with traffic crawling at 2mph. Perfectly safe.
Pedestrian crossings are there for those that wish to use them, there is no compulsion.
