- Just the usual bunch of idiots in this video.
It's just me driving in and around London mainly in the Surrey areas seeing stupid drivers everywhere I go.

I spent 25years driving on these roads i recomnize so well done the m25was just an idea then you have brought back so many memories of happier days when driving was fun and a pleasure without bikes
Should be renamed psycholists!!
There was the flash of a hand at the steering wheel of the Audi at the time of the beep.
That's not an Audi horn, more likely to be the transit van
When a car breaks down, they can close the nearside lanes, so suspect there is a little more to it than a breakdown.
Certainly not a police 'incident' or they would have closed the entire motorway for two days!!
Prob not beeping you but beeping the van stuck in the middle of the road
No yo won’t. Best driver in the WORLD ❤❤
All impatient drivers, and that is getting more and more common.
Honda Lady on the Phone EY63 AGO also comes up as NOT INSURED. Not bad two on the same trip!
Interesting choice of music ref the smart motorway... It is called March of the Gladiators! Might suggest the song by Ivor Biggun: The Winker's Song (misspelt) lol!
9:15 Time to take yourself down to specsavers, pretty sure that was a dog in the cyclists trailer and not a kid 🤣
6.08 Audi driver as type 2 Knobhead syndrome
i was around shoreham yesterday afternoon on my motorbike, passed a blazing merc --- stationary on fire! Was quite a spectacle!
Also, I live in Brighton. Private hire drivers are the worst, gawd damn.
5:50 I think it was the bus who beeped you, look carefully - his hand comes off the wheel
That was a car horn. Bus horns are louder. Watch the car drivers hand.
The smart motorways need to be teared up and have a breakdown lane installed instead - much better worth the cost.
Oh wait, we already had a breakdown lane before some Tory came along and botched it
I think it was Alistair Darling who introduced the smart motorway,
Thanks The London Dash Cam 🚖👍
You have more ‘incidents’ in a day, than I have in a year. And I’m in Dublin City centre 😂
Many thanks for an entertaining video Tony. Regards to you and Sarah. Looking forward to your next post 👍👍👍
😂 some quality clips, as per usual. Keep er lit.
Are you able to submit some of these clips to the police for prosecution? Ie that horrendous Mercedes driving
@@mistycat1954thank you, captain obvious…
But for anyone interested in safety, they can use the footage to report this to the police.
@@mistycat1954the police do exactly that already. So yes you can use this footage if you liked.
@@mistycat1954 depending on the offence you may have to appear in court but in the case of the Mercedes it would be careless driving as a minimum which wouldn’t require the owner of the footage to appear in court. This is how police are currently prosecuting offenders with use of footage shared on social media, no longer requiring original footage or even the owner of the footage to appear in court.
But regardless, if you are concerned with safety then do your bit and get a dashcam like the gentleman who owns the channel.
The Devon and Cornwall police have just done a campaign where they prosecute drivers based on video evidence. There were almost 500 convictions over a 3 month period, from under 1000 clips of video.
There were several bans handed out, hundreds of points on licenses, and many thousands of £ of fines collected too.
The police down my way a happy to have the general public do ½ their job for them it seems.
@@mistycat1954 I think the law has changed since you have last checked. Motorcyclists helmet cam footage has been used as evidence to prosecute dangerous driving following the death of said motorcyclist. I appreciate it may have required you to turn up to court in the past but it no longer does, depending on what you are prosecuting for of course. Police are now proceeding with prosecution with video evidence alone, many times taken from social media. Careless/dangerous driving wouldn’t require you to go to court.
I suspect the bipping was the bus driver; did you notice he pulled out without indicating, forcing traffic behind him to brake; and if the bus coming the other way hadnt been going for the stop, would have forced him to stop as well.
The Mercedes was probably Lewis Hamilton 😂
It couldn’t be, it was overtaking other cars 🤣
@@smilerbob It couldn't have been Max Verstrappon either because nobody got barged off the road.
@@smilerbob 🤣
Hopefully the police has seen it.
That kind of reckless driving is happening every single day on the motorways ....why isn’t the police around when the knobheads do it?...
Same in society in general, We have hundreds and hundreds more police, but where the hell are they?
@@dougaldouglas8842 Tories don't fund public services..Fact... I my first car was in 1991, and there was a copper on every street, and traffic coppers everywhere ( who would pull you over just for being young and adventurous in a Ford Capri at 9:30 at night.... and even though I didn't like it at the time, I so wish that it was the same now.
Just look at the standard of driving now, and all these should be banned drivers get away with it day in day out....and enough said about people on their phones...
All of the above that was wrong in the video, should be a minimum of a 5 year ban.
Keys out, throw them in a river, walk home etc... rant over.
@@rufusharbud3673 Parliament is a twisted company of all rats, scurrying around. No party is any good than any other.
We last had officer on traffic duty in the nineties, true and when coming home from work, late at night, my friend was always pulled over because he was young and was not supposed to have the expensive car that he had.
Each night we would be pulled over, in the same place. Eventually officers got tired and left off, could not get anything on him.
I grew up with the bobby on the beat, then come the eighties gone.
@@rufusharbud3673 Neither Tories or labour fund anything. It is the tax pay that does. If you want more police then we need to increase taxation.
@@dougaldouglas8842they have to do all the paperwork processing anyone they nick which takes hours, that's why they seem to ignore a lot of illegal activity on the roads because they will have to do loads of paper work
THE BEST DRIVER IN THE WORLD. easy when your 65. Experience takes time. ❤drive away ya mad bar stuardes❤❤
ah the berc in a merc bit
I was waiting for the clown car to pass you
I was in Brighton at a union conference when that hotel burned down. Many of our guys were staying there at the time. Fortunately, I was in a B&B.
Simple question, why are people so engrossed with the mobile phone. 📵
I don't know, I've never understood it, mine sits in its cradle and doesn't move or even get touched unless the car is stationary in neutral with the handbrake active in a safe stopping area. i.e. laybys, parking spaces or my driveway.
I have touched it once in my life while the car was still on a public road, and that was because I needed it to take photos of the damage caused by the women that rear-ended me at a red light.
Other than that, there is nothing that can happen on my phone that is important enough to distract my attention away from the road.
I used to use the hands-free Bluetooth system built in to my stereo, but that stopped working and I can't be bothered to set it up again so I don't even answer phone calls through the hands-free system anymore. It still connects the stereo to the Spotify account on my phone automatically and that is all I need it to do.
Because they are either too stupid to live or can't think further ahead than their next breath.
Mine goes in the glove box, and is switched off, nothing is that important that I will let it distract me.@@jollybodger
@@johndilloway9762 To be fair, mine is only in the cradle so I can see the name of the song that's playing, I use the steering wheel controls to skip songs but there is no display anywhere for the song names. So I use the phone screen for that since it displays them on the lock screen along with the clock.
The clock in my car drops a minute every week so rather than keep updating it my phone sits on the dash in its cradle as a clock/currently playing song display.
2:43 Here in the US, we have a saying "Drive it like you stole it!" 🤷♀
Good video.
Merc driver : 1 sentence: I've got your number , make of that what you will
Surely the whole smart thing about a smart road is that they can control each lane separately. So they should be able to close just the inside lane when there's a breakdown well back behind the incident allowing traffic to smoothly merge into the other lanes. You might think that this will cause a bottlneck but the surprising thing is that slowing traffic down generally allows a greater throughput in cars per hour albeit with increased journey time.
Very entertaining video. Incidentally crossings have been given names and because cyclists are using it this one must be a Toucan crossing which cyclists are permitted to ride across when the green cycle symbol appears alongside the green man. That cyclists ignore that is wrong albeit the normal thing in London. I cycle and drive and I think that too many cyclists do not consider themselves to be Road Traffic and have been encouraged to think this because of rules designed to favour them over motorists, what do you think?
Well done the van who stopped in the road rather than the cycle lane.
Remember. There will always be people who want to show how clever they think they are.
BOOOIIM🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤
Give the guy a break he was probably late for his check in.
What makes you think the Merc is getting flashed for undertaking? It was more than likely for cutting in too close.
I'd say the same. It boggles my mind how someone can afford a brand new car like that but have the stupidity to drive it like that. I think to myself they are the suckers paying for the big depreciation of the car in its first few years
You won’t mention this shhhit in your wee u tooobe blag will you? ❤😂😂😂
What are all these people doing, don't they know I'M on the road now?
Are you sure that "Smart" motorway wasn't just a regular road in Wales since last weekend. Looks remarkably similar.
5:46 It was the Audi (of course), as soon as she beeped, her hand moved back to the steering wheel.
It was the bus driver, audi horns don't sound nothing like that
Maybe the person who thought of "Not Very Smart Motorways" and the person who implemented them instead of giving him/her a slap for such a bad idea, should spend a little time behind bars, for the problems and dangers they cause.
As for cyclist pulling out on roundabouts, they don't have to look because they're special and have priority over everyone and everything, or so they think until they end up like a fly on a windscreen.
Its the idiot who is driving carelessly is the one who causes the problems. Nobody else.
The government official who convinced the government of the time told lies regarding the safety of the system.. He has subsequently been moved I understand to HRMC and no action taken against him.
It’s not the smart motorways fault, it’s the Wombles who just close everything down as a default setting.
I'm assuming a fellow Top Gear fan, nice reference mate😊
Wombles don't usually close down all lanes for a broken down car in lane one. Must be something else going on.
Yip. Make mummy as fast as u can. Pure as snow ain’t you😂😂😂❤????
When you were beeped for not moving around the stopped van fast enough - maybe they were beeping at the van?
Smart motorways need to be closed until a hard shoulder all along is available as they are very dangerous.
Well it is a German made car driver
Gil themerc gum them all❤❤
7:44 And not only that but also the poor lad in the breakdown lorry is probably sitting in that traffic as well not able to go anywhere fast and it’s just going to take longer to clear up the incident.
Smart motorways are a Smart as the most intelligent American motorist they can't even drive straight without crashing
The standard of driving these days is simply appalling…. Am guessing you could revoke at least 50% of drivers and some of it is the reaction to someone else’s bad driving creating even more bad driving….
Lease car , you need more bags of wet shoes
HX22 XTT Reported.......
There is no such thing as a "smart" motorway.
The smart/not so smart motorway!!!
to remove the breakdown lane is
beyond stupid and when emergency vehicles
need to get somewhere with all lanes blocked...
proper dumb idea
Do UK smart motorways not have the sos pull ins every 1500m ?
It is of course possible that the M23 was closed for some other reason. There was a semi-naked man arrested for riding a scooter on the M23 that day.
The clip at 07:50 of the -smart- dumb motorway wants sending to one of the independent TV stations (Talk or GB news). Maybe they can get the Minister for -Transport- Traffic jams on one of their programs to explain how this is safe and acceptable.
Safer than trunk A roads that do not have a hard shoulder though.
Regarding the first clip. You say you know it's a busy junction which it why you stay in the middle lane. Fair enough, makes sense. Then you pick up on the silver car for moving back to the left as other cars are emerging. OK, not the best of moves but, what I want to know is, why did you speed up and close the gap? I could see the potential of the black car pushing the silver car out to the right again which could have pushed you over to the outside lane. Wouldn't the most sensible thing be to back off and create a bit of space for all concerned? Can't help thinking that in your mind it's a case of the silver car has made it's bed it can lie in it. I would have watched the silver car and emerging cars just like you...........but I'd also be watching you as you add to the problem.
I think the crossing at 8:47 is a Toucan crossing looking at Google maps. The lights have a pedestrian and a cycle light on so no issue with the cyclists cycling across 👍
Smart Motorways do not cause traffic; that was a traffic jam. Too many vehicles on a road causes traffic.
I read impatience in a lot of these. They must be late getting home to catch the kick off. 11:42 the father did not step back a bit there.
Smart motorways....why couldn't the cops have closed the nearside 2 lanes? It beggars belief!
My husband and I thinks that when you go to buy a German car you are asked "Are you an ar5ehole, di**head or a Banker" if answered no then you cannot buy one,, but if yes then yes you can have one of our "*beautiful *" cars 😈😈
Smart? Not so!
smart motorway with dumb people.
The emergency refuges are every 1.5 mile just keep going until you reach the emergency refuge.
You won’t mention this in your channel? Will you? Because you know EVERYTHING don’t you ❤❤
3:40 The audi did nothing wrong there, but he's an audi... so there you go. Always an audi 😂 How can you tell they were beeping you and not the other car for blocking the road?
I don’t think it was you personally being beeped, I think it was the urban chorus warming up as traffic had stopped for a few seconds so someone, somewhere has to beep the horn for no other reason than “Just because”
Sounded like the bus beeping probably because of the AA 🤐
At the very end really good parenting by the adult, crossing a road that close to the rear of a parked car. Why not just walk a further 20yrds for a clear line of sight?
Why not give way to pedestrians already on the carriageway?
Personally, i think parents should show children how to cross a road without endangering themselves and others.Commonsense really, but the trouble is there's a lack of it nowadays especially with the amount of traffic about and the low standard of drivers.
@@iancollins2325 But it is not up to us to tell people how to bring up their children. What is up to us as drivers is to respect that pedestrians have a right to be on the carriageway and understand that we are responsible for their safety and to not driving into them.
5:03 bus indicated- aren’t you suppose to let them out
Buses, coaches and trams. Give priority to these vehicles *when you can do so safely*
Given the time the signal went on I think itnis unfair to expect a sudden stop and I don’t think hard braking would be classed as safely in this instance
Additionally it isn’t a legal requirement to let them out, just advice so thay can keep to a regular timetable 👍
9:57 Just because the cyclist was entering the roundabout at a confident speed, doesn't mean she didn't look. You don't necessarily make wide and extensive head movements on a bicycle to see traffic around you. That's a common misconception. Moreover, when you pause the video, you can see her quickly looking to her left when she's about to leave the roundabout.
Just completely selfish and stupid c### and a danger on the road..
this. no pillars to obstruct view. just a turn of the eyeball. cyclists see far more in front of them than drivers
Agreed. I'll sometimes make such head movements for show for the benefit of drivers (i.e. so that they can see I've looked).
Did you send the video to the police? No maybe.
I don't think they were beeping you, more the idiot in the van that stopped
Always an audi 😂
"Smart" motorways are a joke, stupid name for them as well
You see the idea of a smart motorway is that it proves that if you are smart, you get off that motorway.
The M23 is not a smart motorway. It's an All Lane Running (ALR). Smart has a hard shoulder that's available during busy periods.
Let’s here you mosning. Again Ooft. Every day driving. Just because you have 2 dash cams it’s looks so Shiite ❤. This Shiite happens every day weather you upload it or not. Making mummy. Good luck 2 u. Every day occurrence ❤❤ old rope. Shite drivers every day. Nice to be able 2 afford 2 say it 2 dash cams. Shag sum body ❤❤
I hope the video of the berk in the merc was sent to Operation Crackdown.
I don’t think you need to keep talking for people to understand what’s going on annoying
You join a motorway on an acceleration lane, so you DO NOT brake. You leave a motorway on a a deceleration lane, so you DO NOT speed up. At the start of the clip, the black car should have accelerated up and got infront of the idiot silver car.
Quality design and there's plenty of them. All those muppets who get pretty well paid for fucking up our motorways
6:52
.. you are lane hogging BTW
No he wasn't as he was the same speed as the car in front and catching up with the white van. There's very little point in lane jumping just for the sake of being in the left lane
@@jonpriston8784👊🙌
@@jonpriston8784 He was catching up on the van for 13 seconds. After that the van was moving away faster and he stuck to lane 2 That is called lane hogging.
Then why is he undertaken by the BMW, I would suggest kittyhawk is correct!@@jonpriston8784
@@telmas7183 _"Then why is he undertaken by the BMW"_ But did you notice the cars in lane 3 slowing because of the incident? Nothing wrong with slowing down 5mph or so to ensure nothing is wrong on the carriageway, especially when you're being forced to undertake yourself. Circumstances.
REPORT IT to the cops. He/She will get a nasty shock by post with a court date.
I drive a Mercedes…….. I AM INVINCIBLE !!!!!
We all know van drivers are the worst bottom feeders, trumping BMW, Audi and elderly drivers. You have a milk float though with instant torque and power. Use it to trump them when they try some of their moronic manoevres, it's the only reason to owning a noddy car. Not very useful when an old idiot mistakes the accelerator for the brake and hurls a 2.4 ton vehicle to 60 in 3 secs and takes out dozens of people but hey, your not in your 80's are you.
