Hi LDC Guy - another GREAT vid - your commentary (bad language) is like I'm hearing myself when confronted by numpties that should take a driving test every month.
7:49 pure gold, reminds me of Ashley Neil's bit where there's a queue of about 6 cars waiting for a parked car. "Wowza's" you went back to when that car was made mate pretty wizzard if you ask me
Epsom yellow lines - unless there are kerb blips or other signed restrictions, then you can stop to load/unload anyway on DYLs.
I love how quick you are, responding to the cyclist. Very funny. Years of motoring bitter experience I daresay. I watch your videos and usual think I am a bit more chilled and tolerant but I do see a change when I'm behind the wheel. I get much more animated, and critical of other road users. Interesting.
Yep! Happy to bully and abuse the elderly cyclist but reluctant to say anything about the van driver seconds earlier
can we just give some praise to that fiat 500 in the 3rd clip that moved back so cars could cross the junction. Very rare to see people be so considerate

That car reversing out of the driveway is asking for trouble, only a matter of time before they either get killed or kills someone else.
I think that a few years ago driving used to be enjoyable but recently all that has changed. People seem to have no patience, no tolerance, no politeness and they seem to have a sense of entitlement that makes them better than other road users. I don't know why this is really but would guess that easy access to vehicle finance, social media and people just not giving a toss for others would be the main causes.

After watching your videos of all the roundabout failures, one of the few roundabouts close to my home in the USA has been getting scrutiny every time I use it. It only has 2 lanes going round, but lane discipline has been very good, but NO ONE uses an indicator, ever. I always do, after having seen so many roundabout videos, so I hope it will catch on!
So the guy in the mini was a mini shit then as opposed to a fart in a fiat, berk in merc or of course the old favourite, always an audi. Love your commentary, always makes us laugh. Keep it up 😊😂
On the subject of people no waving thank you, some people prefer to focus on not hitting anything rather than divide their attention waving. I know I rarely do it because I'm focusing on what I'm doing. On the flipside I don't expect people to thank me if I'm being courteous.
You have seen my videos haven’t you ? These drivers can’t drive very well without saying thank you never mind saying thank you. And it’s not about expecting a thank you it’s just about having good manners, don’t know why, but people seem to think that is a bad thing saying thank you.
@The London Dash Cam I sometimes get a dirty look for letting someone into slow moving traffic. If people would prefer to be kept waiting that's fine by me 😅
It's not hard to lift your fingers up (not one or two 😂) to let someone know you have acknowledged their help 😎
I remember Disney made a cartoon in the 1950s with Goofy playing a calm sane guy who becomes a lunatic when behind the wheel. I'm always reminded of it when I watch these videos.

@8:45 Wow! I think that is a green Plymoth Fury. What a car indeed, but I am not too sure because I don't see an aerial behind it or in front. I saw a red Plymoth Fury last year driving about, what a sight to see. Engine sounds superb as well. What a car.

I don't agree with you on the clip at 7:41 - doesn't matter if he was in his van or not, your side of the road was obstructed and you weren't able to clear in time without impeding the car coming in the opposite direction, so you should've held back.
Watch it again, I didn’t impede anyone, the guy coming towards me was annoyed with me because I didn’t wait for the van to pull out not realising that he wasn’t even in the van.

Exactly, and if you go to the rear camera, two cars, go side-by-side through the gap anyway with miles of room.
No yellow lines, but there is a lowered kerb, which means it's a pedestrian crossing. 😊

It used to be that drivers had brains still encased in their skulls. Today, too many are sitting on their brains and driving the same. It's no longer being a courteous driver, but drivers who only care about themselves. No preplanning so they are in the correct lane to make a turn or take an exit. Nope, it's 'get out of my way I need this turn or exit'.
Where you dropped off in Epsom may not have been on yellow lines, but it did seem to be across the area designated for pedestrians to cross, as indicated by the drop downs and the textured floor to help the visually impaired.
For me the yellow lines should be extended across the crossing and where the two vans were parked. Maybe where the two vans are should be designated as a drop-off pick-up area, maybe with a P3 limit.
There probably were yellow lines there at some point. Looks like a repair job maybe over the top of where they used to be?
@@smggie you may be right, but if they are not there, they are faded to a point where it is questionable whether they are visible and even if they are obscured by leaves or deep water I would not issue to a vehicle on them.
Been quite funny if the the Van driver waving his mobile phone at you was in fact waving at an unmarked Police Car. You can imagine the conversation" I wasn't on my Phone Officer I was just waving it!"
His mobile phone number was on the van. You could have, having stopped first , phoned him up and said "get off your bloody phone".

I was taught to never reverse any more/further than is absolutely necessary ; problem is not many know the extremities of their vehicle

re the drop off, yes, there are no yellow lines where you dropped off, but it was within the prohibition zone of a junction, so consider your arse slapped on that one.

Your drop off and turn around place is "access for service vehicles only" so maybe that's why the van driver didn't thank you.
That isn’t an official road sign by the way, and isn’t a private road, so they’ve got no right putting that sign up on the wall

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, we share a dislike for the same people. This time, it's the braking distance thieves. As much as I hate to admit it, I've closed it down before now, which is wrong and dangerous, but it's damned satisfying when the would be thief has to continue to the next exit, and lose 15 minutes for the sake of trying to gain seconds.
01:14 I see what you're saying about the roundabout. The only thing I can think k of is the clown thinks you should have been left for going straight on atthe roundabout? Not realising the left was a 1st exit only lane.... many people don't pat that much attention to road markings, it's quite sad l.

What I find the most shocking in this video is dat 2 different Audi's used their indicators in a timeframe of 30 seconds from 0:23 and you did not comment on that 😂

01:10. The safest thing to do is communicate your intentions by signal right as you entered the roundabout. Were you?
Not familar with the roundabout in question, but it looks like it is a four-arm roundabout so entering it while signalling right gives the impression that you are going further round it than is your intention. While this gives white van man no excuse whatsoever, it could lead the vehicle in the left-hand lane beside wvm and (presumably) turning left to pull out in front of you.
Not if the cammer signals left at about 01:16. Enough time for WVM to react to the right indication and for any vehicle to his left to spot the change.
Have a look at the green car in the diagram at Highway Code rule 186.

Honestly .... that "roundabout" does not really make sense ... it is just one extra lane where .. none is actually needed. I mean you ALWAYS got the priority when INSIDE a roundabout ... so why the two lanes?

You do realise that you are allowed to stop on double yellow lines to drop off and collect people right? It states that in the highway code. So I cant see the issue with stopping? In the clip you said you cant drop off as its "all double yellow lines everywhere"
Not if there’s yellow lines on the curb, you’re not allowed to stop to unload or load at any time if there is a line on the curb and they are in Epsom
I have a solution to lane hogging. What needs to be done is to remove all but one lane, that will then satisfy the complainers, they that use the roads as race tracks, and swerve in and out. The only problem is that having but one lane, to satisfy these individuals means lane hogging of one lane :)
I daily see bag heads in cars. Just unbelievable, and it is generally they we have on the streets, who need indicators to show where they are going, or stopping suddenly.

Has to be the most boring dash cam video I have seen. Nothing interesting at all , just you picking holes in others. Yes they shouldnt do it ,but none were dangerous or even a close call.
