If you look back at old footage of Tommi Makinen during his glory days at Mitsubishi you'll notice that he was driving LHD Evos. Which is very odd as the Ralliart WRC team used to based in Rugby in the UK, who obviously drive RHD vehicles. I believe you could actually order LHD from Mitsubishi but the were generally RS models used for clubman rallying.
@@Zerofightervi So i'm guessing that LHD examples are quite a rarity then if they had to be specially ordered? Awesome to see stuff like this. Inspires me with my current rebuild.
@@tmptimmy2882 There's a really good book that's got build numbers, rally wins, development information, plus it helps I'm an Evo geek. The Evo IV is actually the easiest to build a replica of because the Lancer body shape is relatively unchanged compared with the wider tracks of the V & VI. What's your build if you don't mind me asking?
@@blakelip3 the VIII & IX get attention because they were the first to land state side. Great cars but for me the best Evos are III, IV, V & VI simply because they were at the peak of Mitsubishi's & Tommi Makinen's reign in the WRC.
