Thanks Tim. You are only 1 of 2 YTubers who have HW4 but not abandoned us HW3 owners. It appears that speed profiles is just for highway for now. I had 12.6 and waiting to see what 12.6.1 has to offer. I agree that 12.6.* is much better than 12.5.*. Thanks again!
Thanks for posting this. I downloaded v12.6.1 for my HDW3 Model Y last night. Going out to test it this morning and yours was one of the few videos I found to check out your impressions before my drive.
Another OUTSTANDING FSD video Tim. As a hw3 owner I was waiting for your V12.6.1 test drive. How, I am waiting for the download from TESLA. Keep up the good work -- I really appreciate your contributions to the FSD community.
Just found this channel. Very nicely presented FSD video and excellent commentary! Very helpful to me as I have a HW3 model X. I have been very pleased with 12.6 so far, waiting on 12.6.1 and hopefully that also fixes some lane centering issues that I'm having. Subscribed to your channel as well for future videos and updates!
12.6.1 worked great on my work drive 37 miles. It's still having a little trouble with the late night flashing yellows. My drive home is around 1:00 in the morning. 3 or 4 flashing yellow lights. For the first time it got off at the exit no problems. What an improvement tho...Thx 🇺🇸✌️
I cannot wait to get the update to FSD 12.6. I test in my Henderson neighborhood, over by Town Square Mall, on the 215 FWY to 15 FWY, and on The Strip.
Definitely looked like the reflections on the road played a major part in the lane keeping disengagement. Combined with the grinded down lines showing up more clearly within the reflections, it makes for a pretty tough scenario. Definitely will have to retest it in the dark for an apples-apples comparison.
The issue in the parking lot is because FSD does not like to stop and take its time to figure out a situation. It prefers to continuously keep moving even if it slows down a bit. This causes it to miss turns. Thus, it then rerouted trying to figure out alternative options 😊
The problem with the unwanted left and right turns is that in LV so many normal lanes of traffic suddenly turn into turn only lanes. It's LV's fault not FSD's. Roads in LV were/are designed by idiots.
FSD needs to be able to handle poorly planned roads. Otherwise unsupervised FSD would not be possible. Those issues will definitely be resolved though.
V12.4.1. Phantom breaks. I always have been ready to press accelerator. I would be a happy guy with v12.4.2 if Tesla removes phantom breaks. Your video is giving more than I ask for. Now v12.6.1 will make me wait until Tesla achieves unsupervised FSD without complaint regardless hw3 achieves it with software upgrade or with hardware upgrade since I have no desire to put my car to the robot taxi network. FSD just makes me a safer driver especially dark and rainy day. Looks like v12.6.1 will do that.

driving really slowly on a 45mph road needs to be doing like 50 not 35.
Cool
Man, I can not wait to get this! 12.4.2 is ok, but pretty jerky and the phantom breaking sucks.
upvoted!!
