lolll you know what's interesting? Those holes make excellent handles for moving these chairs around and makes it a LOT easier when you're outside of the chair (since the thing is so tall and heavy). I don't think it was intended for this, but it works!

Hahahaha iono man...it's a bit of a meme IMHO. When flat, it provides more than enough lumbar support and if you bring it out, it'll scoop your back up. But like I mentioned, laying flat is an issue with this pop out lumbar
How does the lumbar on the 4 feel when you recline a moderate amount? In your review of the 3 you said it was only a problem at full recline which isn’t a dealbreaker for me but I do like to lean back a bit
Love your reviews, finally moving into a new house and need a new gaming chair I’m now stuck between the Kaiser 3 or the alcantera fractal refine chair. Which would you choose as the clear winner for long gaming sessions
I personally find the Kaiser 4 more comfortable to sit in compared to the Fractal, but it depends on whether you want plushiness or something a little firmer/upright. They are wildly different chair experiences haha. I think in general, Fractal / the dealers Fractal works with has a better return policy, so maybe a good idea to start with that first? Hope this helps - please consider using my links if you decide to pick up!!
Really like your reviews. I've gotten some good ideas for my home/office from them. I was hoping you would do a review of the Kaiser 4! I need a new chair and haven't been able to find one locally that I like. I have some questions though (sorry for the long post): Does the seat "wobble" a lot? The one I have now, which I'll be returning, wobbles at the slightest movement. Do the arm wrests (on the 3 or 4) move freely front/back, in/out, rotate? The home/office chair I have from work has arm rests that move easily and I'm constantly having to re-adjust them. Also, how stable are they..do they have any wobble of their own? Again for the arm rests, do you ever bang your leg/knee on the adjustment lever? Seems like that would be easy to do for people that sit cross legged or one-under as you say. And arm rests again: from the manual, it looks like they can also be adjusted in/out from the mounting plates on the bottom of the chair some as well. Can you confirm this? How stiff is the rocking motion. The soon to be returned chair has a spring that even in it's most relaxed setting, it forces your forward. There is no way to rock back and stay rocked back without having to constantly push off from something, which kinda defeats the purpose if you ask me. Did you test/compare against the normal or "pro" versions of the chairs? For Andaseat, do you prefer their fake leather, or cloth? I've heard that the "leather" and stitching on the 3 decays quickly. The last chair I had lasted over 12 years so I would really like something that is going to last. General question. I work from home full time so I'm in sitting at my computer 8+ hours a day. I don't have a lot of, shall we say, natural cushion, due to weight loss from one of my meds, so I'm looking for a chair that doesn't have hard foam cushioning. I'm 5' 10", 200+ still. Would the large work, or would the XXL be better? Oh, one other requirement, it has to be "cat approved", meaning that I sometimes have one, if not two, cats curled up in my lap (one leg under the other usually). It needs to be deep/wide enough that my legs are supported and that I don't feel like I'm about to fall out the front. Unfortunately, there are no local stores in my area that carry Andaseat chairs so I can't test any of this out for myself without purchasing and possibly having to pay return shipping if it doesn't work out Good catch on the small rise at the back of the arm wrest. I've been leaning toward the ones on the 4 or 3 Pro because they are longer/wider and I could sit my trackball on it and still have room to wrest my arm. One of my cats likes to curl up on in the crook of my arm and take a nap, so having the arm wrest that flips up looks like it would help there, but that rise at the back of the arm might make that uncomfortable unless I can find some way to cushion that part. Thanks, and keep up the reviews. I got a feeling I'll be ordering one of them this weekend, and I'll definitely use your code. p.s. I'm already thinking of ways to add a "cat shelf" on the back of the chair and loop it through the two opening at the top. Perfect place for one of them to take a nap...
it could, but it's not a gap that's the issue, it's how the lumbar is rounded in a way that fits when you sit, but the highest part of the roundedness hits a weird place when you lay back. Imagine laying down and place a pillow in the middle of your back - even though the pillow is squishy, still doesn't feel comfy
@@Ahnestly I see. So you'd actually have to add a larger pillow higher up to offset the weird lumbar and even then it might not help much. I just am having issues with my current chair and neck pain, so I need a headrest and would love to be able to lounge and lay back.
I am currently deciding between the Kaiser 3 and 4 and I always leaned more towards buying the 4's, but these armrest always bothered me since I saw them. Do you think this is something that is going ruin my chair experience? What is the chair that you would choose personally?
The arms are a bit of a pain and with most racing style gaming chairs, they don't go down that far, so you'll always be using them. I think I personally would save the $90 and go with the 3
