Are All Gaming Chairs a Scam?

- Most gaming chairs are a complete waste of money.
For years, companies have been selling spine-snapping, back-breaking, neck-nuking “seats” they claim will keep you comfortable while gaming.
And while these racing-style chairs might look cool and come with tons of celebrity endorsements, most of them don’t exactly take care of your spine.
Now, there are some companies trying to bring actual comfort to the masses, but even the bad chairs can be very expensive.
So we had to ask, what makes most gaming chairs so bad? Are any worth the money? Or is the whole industry really a scam?

I worked for the HR of a company for years. One day the company hired masseur, he came in and we chatted for a while when I was waiting for my turn. He said "the best chairs you'll ever get for your own settup are office chairs. They are designed to make you work more whithout disconfort for hours without end" meaning, gaming chairs is just a gigantic hoax. That blew me away.
Still depends on the chair. I used a professional office chair for few years. After 4ish hours I had massive stings in my lower back. I decided to buy a gaming chair, but always wanted to test it first. Think I sat down in over 20 different models. Didn't feel good. Until I found the one I used now for over 5 years. All my back pain is gone.
In the end the only thing that matters is that the chair fits your unique back.
Maybe get more than one educated opinion before having your kind blown

@@MT-so2mk sitting down all day isn’t good for you that’s why. It literally takes years off your life. You should use a standing desk and alternate from sitting and standing.
I want to add to this, price matters, ALOT. Those really good office chairs you find in cube farms? Yeah, they are paying 400+ in a lot of cases. You pay 200 dollars for your chair, expect to have massive issues with it in a very short time.
Secondly, yes, chairs can be absolutely horrid for you back depending on how you get comfortable.
All that being said, most chairs are a rip-off in the gaming scene, but not all. Office chairs also come with an expected lifespan given hours of use (measured in hours per day over how many years). Gaming chairs refuse to do this because they are rip offs. Its the same as with a lot of your rgb keyboards (looking at you corsair, the massive pile of **** you are).
"bad chairs can have a negative impact on your body" good thing that we all dont have to sit 6 hours a day for about 12 years in cheap wooden chairs

There way more comfy than any gaming chair I've had
it's closest thing to "outside" a gamer can touch
Hahahaha my gaming “chair” is literally some giant plastic beach chair with a small mattress and a blanket
I actually sit on one of those chairs that fold up that you see people use when there camping because the other chair that I had, had a leg break and I think the camping chair is very comfortable. I refuse to pay hundreds of dollars for some flashy chair that content creators, streamers and Esports players use. One thing I feel should've been included with these more expensive chairs is they really are built to last, they might be expensive but they aren't going to feel like they're falling apart after a year or two of constant use. I have probably sat in my autonomous chair for thousands of hours and it doesn't creak or really have any signs of age to it.
Exactly. Even the "best" gaming chair such as secret lab will only last like 3 years if you take care if the fake leather.
@@MichaelAW17 Never, EVER, buy pleather. Cloth is king, followed by real leather. There is a reason no furniture is made from pleather really anymore, because the stuff is trash.
Another reason why buying one second hand is a good option to make them more affordable
And they give a warranty of a decade and more. The longest I've seen were 12 years by the Herman Miller Embody (Gaming).
I remember buying a DXracer on sale along time ago… let’s just say I learned my lesson and got a more premium refurbished office chair. Best decision ever. I also don’t recommend a Standard Herman Miller either, there are better options out there.
Literal same boat here. Bought a DXracer, was initially impressed because it was such higher quality than the IKEA chairs I'd had before, now dealing with muscle problems because it's just... not very comfortable. New proper ergonomic chair is currently on its way to replace this one, and I learned my lesson on buying for aesthetics and fancy features.
Honestly, after talking to a pal of mine whom let me in on the chair strat.... Yeah, been avoiding those products. It's better to just get a simple decent office chair than "gaming" chairs.
what do you recommend?
It's so funny that office chairs are better for gaming than gaming, but yeah, I also tried getting gaming chairs and I don't think they are any good for plus sized people, incredibly uncomfortable and a tight squeeze. If you want a bigger one, it's just so much more expensive and you're better off with literally anything else.
Herman Miller used is the way to go. Not very expensive and you can find replacement parts online with ease.
Been using a $120 gaming chair for 2 years+ and it causes some back pain after long hours of sitting. But at the same time still holding back to invest in a really good office chair since I'm gonna move to another country soon xd. Been a dilemma and the only solution I've been doing is just to workout more (idk why but it apparently helps a lot eliminating the back pain)
Love your vids bro
I had a dxracer chair for literally 3 years and I can’t lie I had to go to a chiropractor to fix my back…I now have a office chair and it saved my life
This cant be all from the chair tho.
@@Alpenmagier Agree I doubt thats just from chair unless you sat in a really weird way. Had my DX racer for 5 years and no problems at all. I agree it is not ideal and I will be looking for something with better lumbar support than a pillow that tends to move in the future but otherwise i dont have any real complaints except fake leather being the wrong choice it starts to really peel off in a sitting area after 5 years of use. The build quality is exceptional and the complains that the sitting area and sides on the back are too tight are mostly a result of choosing the wrong size. I picked one of their largest chairs and there is plenty of space.
One of the disadvantage of these chairs from my experience is the fact that it usually takes a while for the chair to kinda mold to your shape as you sit so you cant really tell how comfortable or uncomfortable it will be after a single try in a shop somewhere. It took over a week sitting in the chair for 5+ hours a day for it to finally be really comfortable.
You’re probably better off going to a massage therapist over a chiro

I have an embody gaming chair and it really was worth the cost compared to the generic racing style seats Ive tried. Its also worth mentioning that the HM chairs have 12 year warranties, so its not like you are going to be left hanging if you buy one.
Herman Miller are the only brand I'll ever trust. Tried them at the G2 esports hq and damn they feel incredible!
In my office we use HM and its comfy , but the price is very expensive i personally cant afford it for home use
We use herman miller at my workplace and I've always wanted to steal one. I'm joking of course but you get what I mean.
@@kurtramos59 do it lol
Embody is goated. I love Herman Miller.
The biggest issue comes down to price,
Chairs be it for office, gaming or these Rip OFF Miller chairs.
Up to a certain price maybe $300 the gaming chair offers more than an office chair in adjustability.
An office chair below that price have very little useful adjustment and is never comfortable, I kind of feel that they are designed to be uncomfortable deliberately to make the user move and get out of it.
Real Supportive chairs are ridiculously expensive to the point of blatant rip off.
Especially when a stool is better for your posture than any chair as long as you actually sit up straight.
I always wanted a gaming chair because they look cool. However, I always get an office chair because it's way cheaper and designed to be sat in for long periods of time. Avoid solutions to problems that cause problems.
Careful there, not all office chairs are. Always read the label, they give ratings. You will still be forking over good change for a good one.
@@goldenhate6649 Nah , no need to worry about that . Office automatically means it fares better for long term sitting than gaming chairs .
The rule of thumb is office = good and gaming = bad . Even the crappiest office chair with oxygen gas canisters are better for your body than a "quality" gaming chair .
I’m out here hard repping the Dexely office chair from staples. $150, super comfortable, breathable, and adjustable. Never was so happy to throw out my secret labs titan.
Same! I got the Hyken which is very similar. 4 years in I don't have too many complaints.
Lol you guys are noobs, gaming chair raises your MMR by at least 300 points
Herman millers just a waste of money. "Premium products" more like price gouging.
Most office chairs are as good as these for as low as 400$.
But at the end of the day what they're saying is just workout and then it doesn't matter what chair you choose. I get up between games to do pushups and use a hard piano bench, peeps always go "How do you have such good posture? Doesnt it get annoying standing like that?" and I'm like no, screw ergonomics.
I have had a herman miller for over 20 years and it still works, feels, and looks similar to when I bought it. Comfortable and reliable af!
The correct answer!
Herman is just an investment on yourself. I bought mine new but without the warranty at a steap discount (900usd) and man is it so good. It still a baby though, but I expect it to last 15 years plus.
You probably don't have a cat.
@@blindguitarfox used to, never got another one cause it won't top the first
See, I would get a Herman Miller but it didn't fit my budget 💀 so I got a $500 chair instead.
Before buying a gaming chair Ive read quite a few reviews and went with Secret Lab titan, 2 years later the chair is holding up amazingly well and didnt really had any problems with it. I guess there are a few good brands and models but you just need to know them
Herman Miller/Steelcase/Humanscale are the main brands for ergonomic chairs - I work from home and picked up refurbished Aeron Classic just recently - now watching pro players sitting on those flat, fake leather chairs (that cost similar as refurbished aeron) makes my spine hurt😂 if one spends majority of his day in a chair, you might as well spend some extra to get something that will last and won't give you any discomfort after hours of sitting
Titan is great chair its build like tank using for 3 years😊
@@ecco2k771 Sadly they cost more than an average car.
@@drschwandi3687 it's around $500 refurbished, the price of an average car in 1930s
While I would understand that the price tag would alarm most shoppers, consider the amount of time you’d spend on it while working/creating/gaming. Like a mattress, it’s worth investing in a quality product. Of course so within your budget, there are great office chairs out there to get started.
I remember like 10ish years ago I was interested in one of those "gaming" chairs and went to a Fry's to try some out. Every single one of them was a pain to sit in. Sometime later, I did cave and buy a Secret Lab one which was branded with a Game of Thrones house, and honestly, it was the least bad "gaming" chair I've ever sat in, but it still doesn't compare to a good office chair. Though I will say, everyone swears by those mesh ones, and I find those even more uncomfortable than those awful leather ones.
I adore my Secret Lab chair. I have to be in my office chair for many, many hours for school and it's the best chair I've had for loooong work and gaming sessions
Thank you Colten, I am glad you were the one that covered up the actual reasons and not the....other guy. I wouldn't have believed him but I believe you.
Glad I can be of service!
TBH, my Secret Lab Titan 2020 is the best thing to happen to my posture and back. Once I got it set right, I'm so comfortable for many, many hours. It's better than any office chair I've had at work, home, or school
Same, i had a dx racer and SL Titan is so much better
Titan is a solid chair. I prefer it to the Herman Miller Aeron, and many other office chairs. I do prefer the Mirra and Embody to it for sure, but there is quite the price difference. If someone is happy with their titan, I wouldn't highly recommend a change of seeking something different.
I bought an Embody chair a couple years ago and my back pain just disappeared. If you game a lot or even sit a lot, do the cost per hour analysis and see how much you pay. It’s worth it.
The answer is yes gamer chairs are designed to look cool on stream. Just get a decent office chair way less money and are actually designed for people to sit in
The way I see it, the amount of hours you spend on your computer (thousands) is the same amount of hours you spend sitting on your chair. Invest in your health and long term expenses. (I have 11 years left on my herman miller embody warranty). I know people who spent 400 on a gaming chair and have things snap after 2 years
Yup. People see the initial costs and dont want to pay it, but will pay 400usd for a chair that will start peeling in 2 years and break in 3.
I had 2 gaming chairs over the course of 3 years.
The first gaming chair was very cheap and the seat broke within a good 8 months, to which I contacted the company and they sent me a new seat, after rebuilding the chair lasted another 5 months before breaking again.
The second chair was a limited edition chair from aerocool, it was an extra big chair(because I am a bigger person and I also like to change positions every now and then) but the seating of that chair broke after 6 months and after contacting the company, they responded and said they didn't have spare parts left as this was a limited edition chair.
I now have an office chair that has lasted me well over a year without any visible nor invisible wear.

I will say, as someone who isn't an all-day gamer (and even when working I have to get up and do exercises during the day), I love my SecretLab 2022. That being said, I would like to try one of those Herman Millers someday.
I found secretlab terrible, caused so much pain.
Bought a Herman Miller Aeron and it's wonderful, so worth the money.
Literally one of the worst. You don't need to spend HM money to find something well-built and ergonomic. Do your research and I think you will find something that works well for you.
@@thebuzh3rdany recommendations please ?
When I decided to replace my old chair because it was heavily broken I opted to get an IKEA Markus since a streamer that I follow recommended it over the Gaming chairs and I must say that for a 150€ chair it's pretty comfy and I love it.
I have to say a huge thanks for this video. I sat in a gaming chair for around 10 years fo my life without any apparent problems for now. Because it was completely broken and a good opportunity I switched to a good office chair without being sure if it was a good idea. This video definitely showed me that it was probably a good idea.
It also very cool that you are talking about a topic which will probably be extremely controversial in the gaming industry. It definitely opened the eyes for me. For whatever reason I never questioned the ergonomy of gaming chairs since I had no apparent problems I assume. Maybe the Dxracer fitted me well.
It's not exactly "new" The whole gaming chairs is bad for you has been known for ages now. A lot of other tech channels have covered it before (Nexus Gaming did a full dive years back) and it's a good thing that these gaming chair companies are *finally* applying some proper ergonomics to their products.
A Miyune watcher. BASED! This is a great video, not enough people realize how important a good chair is.
Gaming chairs are cheap and the general public can afford them, Herman Miller is a down payment on a car... Soooooooo
Office chairs are literally JUST as expensive as gaming chairs or EVEN MORE.
I am using the wooden chairs similar to those in primary schools in the early 2000s. A racing chair is probably a huge upgrade for me already.
This is really it
ikr thats what im saying, in school they put us in those chairs for 7 hours
Best gaming chair I had cost me $5 in offer-up😂 it was a really old office chair that was surprisingly still new. It was from the 1970s, I think the guy said his company got them in 1976 but never used them. He had a whole shipping container full of them when he started selling them, and I got one of the last ones. The frame was made of wood, it was a rotating chair, had only one wheel missing so it was a bit hard to roll around, but the cushions were in perfect condition. It was still wrapped when I got it from him. I used that thing every day for quite a few years. Best $5 I’ve ever spent.
I LOVE my secret lab gaming chair, but they’re one of the few companies going out of their way to keep the gaming chair shape while also improving features that give you better support. It’s still not the most comfortable chair to lounge/do office work in, but I use it 90% of the time for gaming and it’s excellent.
I love mine too it’s more of a gaming/office chair hybrid
Yep, the bottom foam is really firm to keep you sitting upright too.
I sat on the recent model and it stillfar worse than the average office chair. Never mind the herman I have at home. Im not sure what support you are referring to

Didn't know that Canada's Prime-Minister was also a gaming chair salesman.
Bought a DXRacer a couple years ago. I will never make this mistake again. Thanks to 5-6 hours of sports each week it's okay but I'm getting 28, sitting a lot on this chair and you will notice how bad and worse your back gets every month. Stay away from them. If you don't do sports and just sit on these chairs you will be paying physiotherapists a lot of visits once you hit 30+ because every muscle in your back and shoulders will start hurting at some point for sure.
it's not chair lol it is SITTING YOU ASS OFF
No scam. Gaming is just a marketing term wich is basically a group of certain features in a box called gaming.
Those features are, rgb? Looking like a car seat, and some other not neededness, + pinch of comfort.
Used Aeron's and Embody's can be found at great prices. Just make sure you test them out before buying them and make sure all the functions are working properly. I was able to get an Embody and an Aeron for the price of 1 top of the line "gaming" DX Racer.
Exactly, and most of those chairs can last 20 years. Definitely worth the costs.
I'll be honest, even when compared to a $500 gaming chair, I sometimes do want just a $29.92 "Mainstays Mesh Task Chair with Plush Padded Seat" from Walmart. Even when moneys not the issue.
6:57 i didnt expect to see Miyune in the background
Seeing this is interesting because I was shopping for chairs like a year ago or something and realized that the marketing for "gaming" chairs was setting off all sorts of red flags so I settled on a comfortable looking office chair for like a fifth of the price. Seems like I made a good decision.
im glad colton explained it. i didn't trust that first guy
I got a regular comfy office chair. I had been having severe pack pain because of my gaming chair. Best decision I've ever made
Good to see you mentioned the one big pro of the "gaming" chairs... The far recline. So many seem to ignore this.
You can slouch and relax in them unlike office chairs. Almost all of them don't recline far back enough for times when you're tired and or want to recline far back with a controller.
I bought a refurb Humanscale Freedom and it is so uncomfortable, particularly when in the recline position (which isn't much.) The seat is fine, but everything seems so rigid and hard. The position it puts you me in feels awful too.
There doesn't seem to be anything that's the best of both. Either you sit in a good upright position when working, but want to get out of when relaxing. Or slouch/lounge in a gaming chair but suffer ergonomically.
If most "gaming" chairs weren't poorly built crap durability wise I'd be more inclined to buy another.
I own a gaming chair and I actually love it! Comfort is somewhat relative, the only thing about mine that sucks is that the middle seat has a hard plastic hole for strapping a head pillow rest thing or something. I lost that, but if I somehow did use it, I doubt it would be impact it since my issue is occasionally bopping my head when I lay back too quickly.
Otherwise, the chair is fine . That all said, in the defense of something I want a new one of, if you just want to sit….
An office chair, not even worth 100 and sometimes less, will do a far better job if you want a full body set of comfort and flexibility. I got my gaming chair just for the challenge to build it and have something look cool. The only regret I have in that front is that they get dirtier easier. (Gaming chairs have alot more ‘folds’, so old food and crumbs can sometimes junk it up. Office Chairs do not have this problem since they are usually simplier with a single cushion for your butt and your head/back.)
My Secretlab chair was a nightmare. Might have worked for some but it wrecked my back. Got an expensive office chair and never looked back.
I bought a secret labs chair last year and it is so uncomfortable. I have to use a pillow on the seat because it’s so hard and sitting for more than 20 minutes causes insane discomfort
I had a gaming in my early days (I’m 27 btw) and start working out during those days and finding out how uncomfortable they are on my thighs and lower back (due to sore from deadlift and squats).
They are just gimmicks. I went ahead bought a mid expensive office chair and I LOVE IT!. Kids these days (feel old typing that out) will learn
Bought into that hype before with AKRacing, and really regretted it. All the problems you pointed out were exactly what I felt, not to mention the fabric ones collect sweats and shows stains.
I bought a need4seat chair for like 400-500 bucks. This was back in 2012ish or so. The chair has maintained its form perfectly after almost 10 years. I used to replace a regular office chair purchased for about 100$ every year because it would get worn out. My racing chair was well worth it.
Herman Miller Aeron''s while expensive up front, are built like absolute tanks. Honestly when you factor in longevity, they are probably cheaper than most gaming chairs.
My office has about half a dozen Aeron chairs dating back to the early 2000's, and still going strong.
for those looking to get a herman miller. find a local dealer, they often have sales/can help with sizing. i got my aeron brand new with all the add ons i needed for 1300 total (tax and all). still expensive, but given i work from home more than worth the money to me.
ive got a secret lab titan chair, and its been perfectly fine for about 5 years. its got plenty of adjustability and its very comfortable and supportive. its a great chair
No
I have a double compression fracture in my spine, my T12 and L1 are compressed in an unfixable injury. Getting an office chair was the best decision of my life. It has a nice curve that your spine naturally has (that mine lacks), making it very comfortable. As well as a soft cushion for my flattened coccyx' (another issue I have that you may not). And it has neck support for my completely straightened neck, (yet another problem). Not to mention, it's breathable, adjustable, and comfortable. Get an ergonomic office chair. They're superior in pretty much every way.
I love my Secret Lab XL PU Leather Batman tagged. Had it for 2 years now and it’s just as solid as day 1, no scratches, no smells, no screeches or seat foam deformation. Also, my butt doesn’t hurt like from “racing” or basic office chairs. One if the expensive buys that I don’t regret.
You will once you get a herman miller. It's like switching from Beats to Senns. Sure the beats sounds great at first but once you use a senns, your old beats sounds no different than $30 wallmart headphones.
my secret lab titan evo2022 is 100% worth the price, not only is the lower lumbar support, saving my back and my posture in general, but the entire chair is comfortable, especially when it comes to your knee placement
You get more frames if your gaming chair color is the same as your rgb, everyone knows that.
True
If you have even a little bit wide shoulders then they will be pushed forward to an uncomfortable degree in any racing chair (which are designed that way so your hands are on the steering wheel). But it's really bad for comfort or longer sessions.
The only chair worth its high price is a Herman Miller and I didnt believe it until trying one out. Both gaming chairs ive owned and ones ive tried at different friend's places have all been average at best. both of the ones I had were gifts, I would never spend my money on one and I even tried talking my gf at the time to return it and get herself something or save the cash
There's a lot of good manufacturers out there and a lot of them are just as expensive if not more so. I prefer Steelcase over Herman Miller. Some people swear by Haworth. It depends on the person.

As a fighting game player, I hate when events have gaming chairs. I have a large arcade stick that I put on my lap, and the arm rests block me from getting a full range of motion. The gaming chair arm rests can be slightly tilted outwards but that's about it.
At home I have an office chair where the arms flip upwards out of the way and it's so much better for those of us with arcade sticks.
Idk I have a fabric dxracer and always sit straight up and have no problems at all. Already use them over 6 years
I tried a gaming chair at the store and my lumbar spine was not happy
Great video! I am no bigshot but on a good day when I have nothing else to do, I stream for over 10 hours, because I find it enjoying and sharing my ideas with people who are kind enough to occasionally come to my channel and talk to me. I use a normal wooden desk chair, and so far I have had no issues of back pain or the sort of problems mentioned in this video, despite me being a man at his 30s (I know I'm not exactly old, but probably older than a lot of people who will see this comment). A "Gaming Chair" looks uncomfortable to me just by the looks of it, and I don't think I'm ever gonna get one. So I can totally agree with part where it says finding the right chair is the best solution for prolonged sessions. If someone is looking for something new, chances are high that a generic office chair will be much more comfortable.
Ergonomic office chairs >>>>>>>> gaming chairs
funny that this video got rec'd to me because i just sold my secretlab titan to buy a haworth soji. still waiting on delivery of the haworth but if it's like the haworth chairs we have at work i already know it will be much more comfortable and durable than the titan. it actually was a bit cheaper ($488 vs $550), comes pre-assembled, has many more adjustments, and has a 12 year warranty. excited for it to show up, hopefully it's the one for me. if not, i'll probably just get a used aeron or something. just about any office chair from a reputable brand (herman miller, steelcase, haworth) is going to be a major step up in comfort and quality to any gaming chair.
Shoutout to the Ikea Markus chair for being a good budget office chair.
Problem is, it lacks much of the adjustability that the high tier chairs have, but if you have the right build (around 6'0 or 183-185cm) it can be a good choice regardless.
That's my chair and I love it
The fact that Eureka ergonomics gaming chair was the first ad to appear mid video is absolutely hilarious
I want a chair without wheels bc I also do sim racing. How hard can it be for those companies to make a modell where you can take the wheels on and off easily?!
I haven't watched the entire thing yet but I can say is that after having multiple gaming chairs purely for aesthetics they were all complete crap. Then I splurged a bit and got a 2022 secretlab titan and my god, at least for me the adjustments are perfect and the firmer base means I dont get back pain anymore, I tried a few herman millers at a store and while they were also very good, over triple the price for imo a marginally better product wasnt worth it.
You think secret lab titans are trying to bring comfort? I'm pretty sure that chair is responsible for the chronic and debilitating pain I've had for the last 3 years.
I wanted a gaming chair so bad. Ended up buying one from Canada Computers. Looked cool, but total garbage and waste of money. Saving grace was it only cost $150 I think; was on sale. My boss bought 3 for our office off Amazon and it is actually better than the one I bought. Much more comfortable. I bought a proper office chair for home office after getting rid of the gaming chair.
I also got a secretlab chair before the built in lumbar support. But my stoner instincts make me get up & move after 1 or 2 matches, so I got that going for me which is nice.
If anyone is trying to find a budget friendly office chair, I’ve been using a Serta memory foam office chair that I got from sams club for 4+ years now. Only $100 It’s honestly amazing. If you have a bit more money I would also recommend a la-z-boy office chair.
Yes sir...La-z-boy big and tall...
My Herman miller chair is more expensive than my whole setup 💀
nice
i appreciate Colten being a fellow vtuber enjoyer
And I appreciate YOU, fellow VTuber enjoyer 😎
Me buying a Cheap 100$ Sihoo m56 Ergo Office Chair is one of the best decision in my life.
It has Height and Angle adjustable Headrest and seat. Height adjustable arm rest and lumbar support and it is also has Mesh Type back support.
The only downside It's very comfortable that can make me feel sleepy most of the time lol.
As with most "gaming" stuff, the effort is marketing deep
I got a $3k executive office chair for my work and gaming, I love it. It's a breathable rolling throne with a weight limit high enough to let 2 people sit on my lap with nary a creak. I know everyone can't do that, but I highly recommend saving up for a good chair that fits your needs. not only do you feel better, but you perform better too.
I personally use a reclining lounge chair, I have a bord that goes from armrest to armrest that my keyboard is Velcroed to and a home made mouse pad that is 15 inch square. I made my own monitor stand that is the perfect height for the chair. Remember that the sitting position is not very good for your spine, having your legs at 90 degrees from your spine is the worst thing you can do. You must get up and walk around for 5 minutes every hour or you will risk serious injuries. I have injured my back, hips, neck and knees doing heavy labouring work and have had years of rehabilitation just so I can do my housework. Basically no chair is perfect for everyone and you must choose the chair that suits you best. Price doesn't matter because some of the most expensive chairs are worse quality than some of the cheapest chairs. Never buy a chair unless you have tested it yourself and never buy a chair online unless you fully trust the company selling it because there are more scams than legitimate companies.
