  • In this video I review the Campbell Hausfeld Low volume Low pressure gravity feed spray gun kit and see if these guns can handle running off a small compressor and get the job done for the everyday D. I. Y guy/girl. This low volume low pressure gun kit along with a small compressor is set up for you to be able to paint cars at home.

Lots of these videos give a big runaround and you never really get an answer. UPK just told it like it really is. The good and the bad. This just encouraged me to get going on my own project. The paint looked like it laid down well, and was a nice review. I also don't like those cases where everything is retained by those "nubs" that make it hard to get everything out, especially smaller and more delicate pieces. That being said, a hard sided case is really nice to have, especially for the hobbyist because it keeps the gun kit protected and together so it's always ready to use and easy to find. I've been reorganizing all of my tools lately and I've been putting all of my construction/handheld woodworking tools on a 6' shelving unit in their original hard cases when I have them and in tool boxes when I don't. I wish I had done this years ago as it's so easy to find everything and it's all ready to use at a moment's notice as well.

    I have enjoyed each of your videos that I have watched. This video gives me valuable info on what kind of gun to purchase. I do have a 30 gal compressor and when using a die grinder the compressor runs constantly with no regulator. So a LP gun may be for me.

      I appreciate you watching the videos and I hope they are helping and the lvlp spray guns will definitely work well with your 30 gallon compressor!

    Astro Europro lvlp is a good low pressure gun for cheapy cheapy on Amazon, atomizes good, built really well... no seals no plastic...... I'd recommend. Liked it so much I bought their high efficiency gun and use it at work it's just as good as my devilbiss

    Love the video, definitely hit the subscribe button on this one. I see it’s been discontinued from a lot of vendors, saw some eBay and Amazon sellers for around $80-100. Wanted to know how you felt about the Husky kit. I see Home Depot has it in stock near me for $80 looks about the same but you would know better. Not a pro, DIY guy! Love the content sorry for the long post.

    King, you are my only go to person to get no BS answer. Have you ever painted a car in a garage and if so, how long the smell stays once finish painting with fans running?

    • @UndergroundPaintKing
      @UndergroundPaintKing  ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends on your setup as far as fans, it could take 30 minutes to a hour for the smell and fumes to die down, here is a video I have painting in my home garage with a simple setup like any DIY person may have

    That was a good revue. Unbiased and honest and I think for the price, it sounds like a good gun. Can you get smaller tips for it like a 1.2 and just bump the pressure up a bit for an even more finner finish..??

    Nice videos new subscriber I paint bumper covers 5 days a week with a little california air tools 1hp 8 gallon air compressor on dealership lots with an Iwata lph 80 paint gun that uses around 2cfm at 20 psi and the compressor puts out 3.1 Cfm and it's just enough the reason I don't us a more powerful compressor is that they use a lot of power to run and the power surge will pop circuits at the dealership you will be awarded what a small compressor will do with the right paint gun

    I have this same set up... i started off painting my 4 wheeler plastics... and i did a bumper with it a week ago.. it layed the paint pretty well without alot of orange peel but once i added a 3rd coat the orange peel was hardly there at all... just ran across some runs in the paint.. i think my technique is just off becuz im a beginner.. plus i didnt have a pressure gadge on my gun.. i just used that one on the tank trying to eye it... i think i had it to low becus i didnt take in account when you pull the trigger it drops.. also using single stage paint...

      The regulator I’m using came in the gun kit with the gun...if you go back to the review portion of the video you will see that 2 regulators come with this gun kit and both are adjustable and they can be used with other guns also...I appreciate you for checking out the video!

    Possible to hook up a paint pressure pot to an LVLP sprayer? Want to use an LVLP sprayer to paint my house (due to my air compressor) but am worried about having to constantly refill the tiny paint cups on the LVLP sprayers.

    • @UndergroundPaintKing
      @UndergroundPaintKing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve never attempted to hook up a pressure pot to a gravity feed spray gun so I can’t say for certain that you can or can’t

    One thing, what was the size of the fan? usually the fan is small and you end up coming in closer like an hvlp to wet the surface. Or moving slower to lay more material down.

  • @davidkris

    Do you prefer this over the Sprayit sp-33000 lvlp? It's got some great reviews. I want to buy one or the other and if you've got a preference and an affiliate link I'll buy it through you so you get at least a little kickback.
