I'm in 2 minds about these locks because if they want to get in, they will as you pointed out there are other weak points. My worry with these locks is the damage that is done to the door and surround when the thieves try and over come them with tools.Great instructional vlog though and as a new subscriber, enjoying your channel. It is worth thinking about adding a sealant bed as an additional precautionary measure.
Great job and you made it look easy but have to say it’s nerve racking drilling through ya van 😮 can’t wait for the window security video 😊 Mark and Debs xxx
There is something similar fitted to my motorhome, it was already fitted when I bought the motorhome. Honestly I don't use it any thief is going to use the windows for entry, they are the cheapest to replace. I have an alarm and immobiliser, every door and movement sensors inside. I have a clutch claw, a steering wheel lock and as a extra deterrent a motorcycle security cable around the front seats that are turned around. If an extra habitation door lock makes you feel better that's good, it's not a good idea to advise people it is any good.
Quick question.. when lock is activated and secured from outside... does the internal lever still open it 'ie' should anyone manage to get into the van by other means.. can the hab door be opened from the inside,..? TIA
Was looking for something like that thank you so much. I just ordered one.
Your welcome 🤗

We have one of these! It’s amazing. We sometimes forget we have locked it when opening from the inside 😅
Ye I’m thinking we will forget several times when we try leaving the van lol 😂

A great product but sadly my van has less of a gap inside than yours so not sure if I can fit any extra locks
You would have to measure it to be sure

That’s just your opinion not anybody else’s 🤣

Hi yes there is a finger turn on the inside to open it
What about the cylinder? Isn’t it easy to break it?
I’d think it easier to pull a plastic window open but these are more a deterrent as if some one wants to be in they will !
I wonder if new motorhomes are being fitted with these as crime has increased over recent years
Quite possibly
I have these on every door
Brilliant arnt they Karen
@FieldviewAdventures they sure are and have stopped mine being broken into setting off the alarms twice now.
