I use a t-mobile sync tracker hidden inside the electrical breaker box backside. I installed a fused USB connector which the tracker plugs into. The wattage is so,so low it won't effect your battery charge as long as you have solar package. This is what works for us for 8 months so far. Just add tons of locks to wheels and tongue. Criminals want quick,easy items. The criminals will move to an easier target if you have like 5 locks and the trailer next to yours only has one lock. I know which one they'll go after. Lol. Removing your batteries is a fantastic idea you mentioned. As an electrician I installed 150 amp quick connect to my batteries. I just quickly unplug the connector and batteries are out. I just made short 2' pigtails to every battery that stays connected to them. I know others who had they're propane tanks stolen so that's great idea with like the E-trailer propane tank locks. Have every serial number at home in case of being stolen.

@rvgearandfar I'm the camp host at Pelican Point RV Park at Cherry Point MCAS. I'm thinking about using the Ring system (or similar) since I have shore power. Not only is it good for security but will allow me to service guests if I'm not in the area. I'm having a new 31KQBTS delivered to me soon and first thing I'll do is cut the tow chains to the third link and then add a heavy duty carabiner. This way my tow chain can't be used by thieves very easily. Sorry for rambling. 😂🤣
Giving your RV/trailer/property a "fingerprint" is a wonderful idea. I'll be adding a gps tracker to both my truck and rig. My setup might not be top dollar, but it's MINE and that makes it worth protecting.
I had a cheap tongue lock like you showed, yellow with a U-bolt style latch. Those style locks are easy to pry off the ball coupler in no time. I now use a Fort Knox brand puck on my trailer. This lock too could be removed if the thief wants to spend the time to do it, but this lock is way more difficult to remove. It gives me more peace of mind. Thanks for the tips.
I 100% agree My trailer was stolen from the RV storage facility that was in the back field on an RV resort and Insurance is in the process of getting me my Cash to get a new one.
added a 500 watt solar system with 3kw inverter, 60mmpt charge controller 300ah Lithium Iron battery, 24/7 simply safe alarm system, wifi with a cellular phone hot spot, fart fan upgrade to pull air thru rv to keep it cooler during the cool 116 to 118 afternoons in Phoenix. (smart fan to know when to close from monsoon weather ( or stop when the temp gets under 50f) We leave a window open an inch. with this, 116 day was 123 inside. We have Waze and simply safe cameras, Acu rite weather sensors and web access hub. Note only 4 cameras work with simply safe nicely so we added pan tilt waze cameras for 360 coverage. the elect system uses about 50 watts constantly due to the fart fan but the solar more than makes up for it. So our 2022 FR 310BHI works for us and we feel confident when leaving it boondocking at NASCAR events or storage at home. Love the idea of putting down the tail gate when on the move. will be working with our Lipert power head system soon as per your other video~ Thanks for the videos Josh.
Do you have any knowledge or experience with Wi-Fi security cameras? Since we always have Wi-Fi I’m interested in getting a couple I can install on our camper. I know the cameras will need to be removable for travel so that would need to be considered.

@rvgearandfar when used in conjunction with removing the battery, it's a genius idea. With the battery disconnected it won't do anything, but the 7 way connector will feed it power when plugged in, and lock up the brakes solid.

What do you do if you rented RV out for 3 days and then renter doesn't return it? It happened to be. They've had it over 6 months and they refuse to tell me where its located so I can go get it. I did a stolen report but they haven't done much about finding the couple who have it. I've given the addresses and phone numbers of the couple but they haven't done anything. What should I do? Anyone got any advise? HELP!

I have added a simply safe security system ...This is 100%. try move it and see how fast the police show up! HAHAHH Motion and door fobs on all outside doors,. I dont even lock them, open one and watch the sirens go off and the police are in route. I also have apple trackers installed in the rig
Instead of pulling a fuse for the power tounge jack, add a switch above it thats hidden. The fuse is a quick fix. But, if someone checks the fuse and its there....thats a whole different can of worms to open.

That would activate your electric trailer brakes- definitely drain your coach battery and then wouldn’t add anything when there is no power

Definitely seems like a law enforcement issue - possibly reach out to your insurance company as well to get their perspective

They're all deterrents - anything is vulnerable with enough T-I-M-E

When it’s parked and not in use I don’t need it stabilized- just put the tongue jack or landing gear down.
