How do you zoom the tgp? (As in, what function, and what button should it be allocated to?)
Expand/fov button for FOV, and MAN RNG Knob CW and CCW which u can bind to any buttons on your hotas or keyboard. Im not sure what the actual switch is like on the real jet
My Maverick never slew EXACTLY where the tgp is looking...it's always slew a little bit left or right and when my target is for example building in the city It's very hard to locate due to poor Maverick 's display resolution
You may need to try boresighting them

@xxxbg311 with AGM-65D/G in PRE mode, slew the TGP and WPN pg to the same target (designate target with TMS up on both), and press the BSGT button on the WPN (Maverick) page
For some reason, my mavericks never seem to fire. I do: Master arm on, AG Master mode, hard point power on, Mavericks powered on and ‘ready’, targeting pod on automatic hand off on steer point target, weapon page on prebrief mode, tgp SOI and slewed, TMS forward to lock, WPN SOI, weapon release. It says on weapon page that maverick is ready and locked onto the target but doesn’t fire. Any help would be amazing.
You may have to do TMS up to designate the target again after you set WPN as SOI

I use 3x 65D on each pylon and I can never make them follow the TGP exactly. Let alone lock the target at 8m range. Even if I align them before taking off. It's frustrating.
Try using PRE (pre planned) mode. Set the tpod as soi, change the handoff mode to AUTO (press the osb over where it says MAN by default) and once you get a point track it should try to handoff the targeting info to the maverick and if it is successful then you can fire at the target
I usually don't recommend boresighting on the ground, unless you can target something really really far away (6+ nm). Short range boresights can cause parallax errors which will mess up the automatic handoff.

You can, but this is probably a bit easier and you can find targets before you go in on your attack run
Unless theres been some changes that Im unaware of - if your starting cold and want to use the TPOD in concert with the Mavs you have to boresight them
