    My hair loss is similar to yours. Your progress is excellent. A few suggestions I tried has worked like a dream. (Guys only)
    1: Practice Semen Retention (abstinence)
    2: Take a zinc, biotin, multivitamin and fish oil supplement daily.
    3:use a antifungal cream before applying any oil or lotion. (Clotrimazole 1%)
    4: massage the scalp throughout the day.
    5: sleep with a durag/wave cap to keep any oil you use from ending up in your pillow, this also acts as a root stimulator due to the pressure from the cap.
    I've seen extraordinary results in a short amount of time. I believe the antifungal cream is a cheat code. Lol anyways good luck guys.

    • @yishaithegift9953
      @yishaithegift9953 ปีที่แล้ว

      @lxramirez9788 there is a fungus that grows naturally on the skin. However there are cases where this fungus can develop too many cells. Thus causing skin issues like, cirrhosis, eczema, and alopecia. I saw a TH-cam video of Selson Blue shampoo, being used to treat skin blotches and itching. It was like a miracle cream. Skin returned to normal. No more itching. The fungus overgrowth had been eliminated. So considering this finding. I decided to try using a anti-fungal cream for my bald spots. And I am seeing good results.

    Just a word of caution, derma stamping like any injury causes an inflammation effect, and when done daily could potentially cause scarring that could interfere with the intended results. Let the body/inflammation recover between uses. That is why many recommend once-per-week use.

    • @jcmediaoffl
      @jcmediaoffl ปีที่แล้ว +5

      This is not applicable to everyone..

    • @TheMillionDollarDropout
      @TheMillionDollarDropout ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a pretty good general rule based upon a lot of real research done into this though lol@@jcmediaoffl I've learned tons to do with inflammation and it's just common sense at this point in my understanding that not letting the body/skin recover from trauma/injury is likely to cause it to always be in a perpetual state of inflammation. Constant inflammation in the scalp can lead to hair loss, not to mention the heightened potential for scarring that the other dude mentioned.
      For example, there is a condition called Folliculitis decalvans which is a rare condition that causes ongoing (chronic) inflammation of your hair follicles and scalp.
      Over time, hair falls out and scarring occurs. The condition causes permanent hair loss with scarring (cicatricial alopecia
      Just showing that to highlight that it's a very real possibility so while someone may get some hair follicles back... Could they be potentially killing off hair follicles slowly at the same time, without realizing it because it's so slow and they're taken aback by the amazing wave of growth they're seeing in the mirror for 2 - 3 minutes as they stamp/dermaroll their scalp? I say it's definitely possible.
      One way to probably be able to dermaroll/stamp every day (or every other day, as I read from someone else) without the risk of constant large amounts of inflammation and potential of scarring would be to use needles that are only 0.5m in length. I think this was actually the length that research showed be very safe, enough to do it more than once per week.
      Edit: I'll provide a link and a bit of some of the core info I was just talking about here.
      Link: perfecthairhealth.com/microneedling-frequency-how-often/
      Stage 1: inflammation
      When it comes to needle lengths to avoid scarring, Dunkin et al. (5) found that *skin cuts to depths of 0.5-0.6 mm may show signs of inflammation for 24-48 hours following the injury;* however, these wounds will close *without any trace of scar tissue.*
      “The visible inflammation phase (erythema) lasts on average about 48 hours. The redness on Caucasian skin decreases by 50% 4-6 hours after the treatment. Chilled silk layers (Cool Mask) soaked in hyaluronic acid are extremely helpful in reducing erythema by at least 50% in 30 minutes. Visible edema is unusual after microneedling. There may be a general slight swelling that fades within 48 hours. In chronic wounds progression toward healing often stalls in the inflammatory phase. At the wound edge, when re-epithelialization is arrested, microneedling of periwound skin may serve to induce a mild inflammatory response which may stimulate epithelial migration to occur. In addition, as previously mentioned the microneedling may help to restore the TEPs and electrotaxis of epithelial skin cells.”
      Other researchers have also argued that wounding with longer needle lengths - *1.5mm to 2.00mm* - also shouldn’t lead to scarring… *provided that the needles are medical grade and used less frequently* (i.e., once every 1-2 weeks).

      I don't want to follow and trust what are you are saying..

    • @heaz32
      @heaz32 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes. The literature and TH-cam dermatologists would agree with this as well. Once you roll or stamp the growth factors are present and then it's about letting the scalp heal. Some studies suggest max frequency of 2x per week all the way to just 1x every 3 weeks. Daily is asking for excessive inflammation, potential scarring (if prone), and less than ideal hair growth or slowed progression.

    That's a good idea to use the derma roller as a stamp. A derma stamp would be even better because they are adjustable needle lengths. Also all the needles are going straight into the skin at a flat 90 degrees with a stamp. With the roller the needles are at all different angles. Also, recent microneedling studies for hair growth have shown that a 0.60 mm is the best needle length for growing hair and it is best done every other day. I was not getting good results using 1.25 mm so I've decided to try a 0.75 mm and see if that works better.

    This is great that a personalised routine has worked for John. Just want to add a note of caution here - mostly for us paler/Northern Hibernians, our skin is not as thick as dark/brown/black skin. So, really, for those of us of Irish/Scots/Western European descent, once a week is the most recommended space. Everyone needs to work out what's best for them, but just be careful not to do too much too soon. It takes time and patience.

      Black people and people with darker skin have the exact same skin thickness as everyone else. That black people have thicker skin that is less susceptible to pain is a racist stereotype used to justify the medical community's historical practice of experimenting on slaves. Supposedly it was ethical to perform surgery on us without anesthesia because we couldn't feel pain. Even now, doctors are less likely to take the concerns of black patients seriously because of this stereotype. Stop spreading it please.

    I had a bad case of alopecia, so I shaved my hair all off and went Bald 😑. I had to shave every other day from then on, but I just figured I'd be Bald forever and it was time to get used to it. I would shave my head while in the shower and my wife found some biotin oil and said I should give it a try. So what I would do is shave it all off in a very warm shower and as soon as I got out and dried my head, I would apply the oil. This went on for months, probably close to a year and then right in the middle of the bald patches, I started to notice new growth, not much, but I could see it. Let me just say I was super surprised! So I kept shaving it all off and applying the biotin oil and the growth kept coming. So finally, when I could see that the growth was actually filling in the patches, I stopped shaving. The patches weren't fully filled, but I thought let me see what happens. So no more shaving and I kept applying the biotin after every shower. After about a year and a half, I had a full thick head of hair again and I never looked back. I did keep applying the oil just in case 😅, until i just ran out one time and didn't re-up. My stepson goin Bald as a mutha and when I took my cap off the other day and showed him my full thick head of hair he was like 😯 "wow, wtf?? You got them good genes!". Let me just say I lmao! 🤣 Alopecia is no joke, but just keep the faith, keep doin you because everything is possible 💯 ☮️

    • @zshark365
      @zshark365 ปีที่แล้ว

      @altuprasaad8049 My theory is that the shaving stimulated my scalp and pores. Because I shaved during my shower and applied the oil as soon as I got out, I think my scalp was massively stimulated and my pores were open to absorb the oil. Shaving was actually uncomfortable, probably like those scalp stimulator tools people roll across their heads. My recommendation though is to do what you feel is best because it's only my theory of what happened. The main reason I shave in the first place because I was either going to have hair or I wasn't there was no in-between for my and that was just my personal choice. Good luck with your journey and much positive vibes ☮️.

    John, appreciate all the informative information regarding hair derma-rolling... I've been doing as much research as I can and I feel as if I'm getting directed toward using 1.5mm over anything else. I noticed you mentioned a study conducted, that concluded .5mm or .6mm was just as effective if not more than 1.5mm? Just trying to gain a little more clarity before making a decision. Thank You!

I'm losing my hair on the corners and temples and I'm trying to regain growth. I have a 1.5 derma roller and I use it every 5 days on those areas. I'm a month in I hope I start to see a difference soon. I'm going to start using your technique.

    • @John.Harper
      @John.Harper  2 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      You're right. I have tried a dermastamp, but switched to a dermaroller because it is easier to move quickly across my scalp. I only dermastamp the areas that are, well were, extremely thin. I also prefer the roller when it comes to battling wrinkles and scars, as it is easier to move quickly across rounder areas of the body as well as dip into crevices, suck as between the nose and cheek; whereas a dermastamp wouldn't be as practical.

    Wow, everyday?! I haven't heard that type of frequency anywhere else online or in the literature. Most of what I am coming across is 2x weekly (max) to 1x every 3 weeks. Once you roll, or stamp, the growth factors are there and then it's about letting the scalp heal. It appears that the research and TH-cam dermatologists are also in agreement that 1.5mm needles are ideal to reach the proper depth of the hair follicle, too shallow and the growth factors aren't reaching what we're trying to stimulate. I understand that what you're saying is that this is what you have found to work best for you.

      That’s because you need a 1.0mm-1.5mm derma roller. 0.5 is not scientifically proven to be beneficial at reaching the dermis layer of the skin to induce collagen production.

    I had to do a slight update in my route. I lost my .75 mm roller but I got a 1.mm roller. I figured since I stamped with it every day (the .75) I can do the 1mm every other day.
    Before I started I noticed alot of smoother skin forming. I think the scared tissue has or is coming up.
    My report (before starting my 1.mm) is very positive. I can see alot of new growth. On all the aeras I lost hair. I gave myself a buzz the other day and i can see where all the blonde hairs . My hair line is totally restores at that alone makes me look so much younger.
    I actually had a girl ask me for my number lol. She was young too (19)
    I'm going to use this 1.mm once every 2 days and see how it goes. Alot of the blonde hair are darkening. So its not as thick but it is full. If that makes sense
