It’s missing that extreme guitar you hear in the original- it’s more like they dialed back on it hear. Probably notice it this much cuz it was always just so kickass to hear straight off.

Is this really the English translation
This was one of the best anime I've ever seen, I would even go as far as saying that it's probably one of the best harem/ecchi anime out there. It's really rare to find an anime like this nowadays not completely focused on one genre or one girl with an amazing plot and story progression Diazuke Satō was a person with real talent, life can be much more crueler than people think sometimes...
Ah, Highschool of the Dead. I remember when this show was announced, I was intrigued and interested to see it. I wasn't disappointed when it first aired. Granted, it did have fan service, but to me, it didn't overshadow the plot of the setting. Highschoolers (plus a teacher, little girl and a dog), surviving the initial aftermath of a zombie breakout. You can feel the desperation, especially when you think something good was going their way, only for it to basically turn against them and they had to fight for not only their survival, but, to keep their sanity and humanity together. The manga had a lot of details after the anime ended that I felt could of been turned into a second season. And, it was sad to hear that the author had passed away. I was sad and disappointing to know that, such a good series is now going to be forever on hiatus, never having a true ending to both anime and manga. People can say what they want, but, I'll always remember the series for it's good qualities and it's effect it had on the anime community. Along with the possibilities it had. You did a wonderful job with this opening, and I'm glad to had a chance to listen to it.
For me, it was the first time I actually liked fanservice. In 11eyes and Rosario+Vampire it was an unwelcome distraction from the other parts of the formula I enjoyed: action, development not just of the characters but also of their relationships, and of course comedy. HSotD took fanservice and turned it INTO comedy by going so over the top, and by deliberately messing with the people getting off on it by mixing it with gruesome death like those girls on the stairs.
@@0bliVioid97 Indeed. I think fanservice can be a enjoyable, so long as it doesn't overshadow the other key elements that a show needs. Characer development, action, an engaging story plot, etc. When you dedicate a show to nothing more than showing off ass and titties, you're gonna lost attraction to your idea real fast. And for me, HotD did that well.
This show was my first anime. I stumbled onto it while scrolling through TH-cam and it was like...
boobs, guns, zombies, what more could a teenage dude that was into Black Ops Zombies ask for?

It broke me when I found out the author passed on. This was one of my favorite manga to read, I own all 7 books that came out. Sad that we never got to see how this amazing zombie work never got to end properly.

This was honestly beautiful. Not gonna lie, I almost cried. The combination of an amazing voice and an anime so close to my heart was almost too much.
We may not have a season 2 of highSchool of the Dead. But you can always make a fanfiction story out of it. With a crossover. I know which zombie killer characters be suitable to show takashi's group how's it done. Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki and Edward Richtofen from Call of Duty.
With their experience of killing the Night of the living Dead, takashi's group would be good at hands with them. Not to mention what the wonder weapon box has in stored for them. Especially Richtofen's weapon invention his Wunderwaffe. Bottle perks will come in handy.
Sakeo and Takeo could be blood related family. They each have the same name. Pretty much good at wielding katana swords. And together, they would bring honor to the group.
In order for both groups to meet each other. Tell em their stories and how many zombies they have killed in the past. First chapter you can think of is the mall, where takashi's group is at. And for tank's group they most likely will appear there.
If anyone wants Tank and shizuka be a couple. Be my guess. Sure Shizuka Marikawa is a ditzy, but that's just her anyway.
And hell, if you like you can add Samantha in the story. Alice could use best playmate friend.

Huh. This is actually a pretty accurate english version. Not a direct translation, but it shares a lot of the same themes and words and gets the original point across pretty well. Impressive.

This anime has my two favorite things in anime i always have wanted to see zombies in a high school anime and here it is and a long time ago i watched the first season and love it I'm still waiting for a season 2 i have hope someone will eventually pick the show up i hope but overall i LOVE THIS SHOW one of the best zombie anime show i LOVE it and I miss it i hope it will get the season 2 it deserves

Rest in peace to Daisuke Sato. H.O.T.D and his many other notable series were works of art even with good and bad criticism. H.O.T.D is still one of my favorite manga and anime to this day, and I will keep some hope that someone picks up this series to continue.

@@AzVonAzathoth No, I meant that there will be no official endings, like a great conclusion and no cliffhangers, stuffs like that. I avoid watching it because I know that it's meant to be continued but that possibility of continuation is impossible. It's basically just blue balls for the emotion. I don't want to be emotionally invested in something for essentially forever.

If you love Highschool of the dead. You can always make a fanfiction story out of it. Like a crossover with the bestest killing zombie group from call of duty: Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki and Edward Richtofen.
