wow, recently made my GF watch black lagoon and forgot how good the opening was, really glad you made a cover version. I love the chorus in this song, well i love the entire thing but mostly the chorus. Big fan of how you went high with the weapon i have it all, I always thought the original should have done that. Harmonizing the regular verse was also a great call. I do think the MELL version chorus has a little more bite, slightly higher vocals during the chorus and volume dynamics between her verse and the chorus are greater, making the chorus seem stronger/louder. Your version has more everything packed into it and sounds a lot fuller. I'd say overall the sound quality and instrument / drums and your vocals are better. I'm sure you have gone back and forth between MELL and your cover hundreds of times and as a musician I'm sure you can agree that every time the chorus came in on the original it feels so amazing, It's almost like you are "absorbing" the music, and really hear/feel it. Anyways sorry for long rant, but you should know you did a fantastic job on this cover.

Finished the show for the first time two days ago, at time of writing. Loved it. Not my absolute favorite, but it got me to get into a genre I'm not typically super fond of, and won me over, ten times over. And I've gotta say, I adore how they managed to get you to like Revy throughout the show, and then suddenly get you to CARE about her with a 30 second scene in the final episode. Really makes her outlook on life make sense. Good show. Very good show.
