A great quick example of its sounds, and ideas on hooking it up. Simple text scrolling up the screen to let us know what you're up to. No massive intro etc. etc. etc. Great vid. Thanks. 😁
I received mine yesterday but haven't had much time to spend with it yet. Love this walkthrough and your other content. You have a new sub 🙂 Cheers from Belgium
It sounds great to be honest. I bought it and sold it and then all the Behringer modules got cheaper and I bought it again. It’s not really a clone of any other module and it does a lot for the price. I’d definitely recommend getting it if you are new to modular or are just looking to add an interesting digital sound source to your setup. It’s crazy cheap for modular.
Also make sure your CV source actually outputs a high enough voltage that Victor expects; many CV/Modulation sources only output ±5V (or anywhere from ±3V-8V). This exact scenario is where a voltage scaler+attenuverter utility really shines!
Nice. I'm not seeing a lot of videos from actual users with Victor yet, so it's cool to see one in the wild. I had a Brains for a couple weeks and wanted to like it but I ran into some issues with the way it handled CV control over certain parameters. Victor SOUNDS phenomenal and I've been seriously considering one since it was announced. Have you encountered any glitches, bugs or bad behavior with yours?
I have 3 Brains and they work fine with the latest firmware update. Maybe they fixed that issue. Almost the same price to just get a Plaits clone though.
Honestly, I feel everybody has a rack full of Mutable and Make Noise stuff, and it all makes the same generic bloopy generative meh. That said, if I did decide to go for a Plaits clone, I'd be looking at Knit just to save some hp. My Brains was running the latest firmware as of early January, but no matter what sequencer or mod source I used, I couldn't get it to behave. Changing modes with CV to build a drum kit, it would lag, it would overshoot, it would bounce, and sometimes it would even do nothing.

Very kind words! You wrote exactly what I had in mind 😊

Thank you very much indeed! Have a good time with your new toy!

Yes, that’s right. Not the one and only piece to build your system around but a great bang for the buck!
Got the non-eurorack version, but Victor will become a part of my system in the near future.
Thanks for demonstrating it.
Awesome tones... gorgeous rig !
thank you for doing this and espcially thanks for doing it exactly the way that you have
You’re very welcome! I’m glad you appreciate it, and I’m happy that the approach worked for you exactly as intended.
I'm really liking the Victor too.
Enjoyed the process
Thank you, my friend!
I loved it when the arp kicked off.
Great video. Just got mine do you know what gate in does, was hoping it would be similar to trig of level on plaits. Thanks
It triggers the programmable walkftrough of the waveforms.
I have one and its ok. The amount of XY CV mod feels rather underwhelming even set on maximum depth. The joystick seems to have far more effect.
seems to be something, that could be easily fixed with an firmware-update

can you set up victor in intervals to play chords?
It is monophonic
@@philaesfarewell thank you!

No, not at all. I have to admit that didn’t I test it in every possible way, but no issue I am aware of, right now
