I've had mine for around a week, and I love it. Very unique way to create waves, very musical and versatile. Easy to get great sounding stuff. The team at Omnitone is the best! Very friendly, responsive and clearly love what they do. I don't see why this is not in every rack!
You should consider covering this one, good sir! It would be cool to see what you could do generating a completely random waveform on every note of some of those boss melodies you do. Now I gotta find 6HP of free space somewhere....
Pedal woman likes it too. I love it when I see another channel I like chimes in and notices the GOODS! 😊 WE LOVE YOU PEDAL WOMAN! (Can I speak for everyone please) ?
I’m very excited about this. In my imagination I’m very good at using this. In reality I’m not a musician at all and I not sure why I keep watching synth videos. I can’t be the only one.
Be honest with yourself, if the reason you watch synth videos is that you like the sounds, then you are a musician, and maybe a modular synth is your instrument. Look up videos on small ‘generative’ systems, or just get a tiny case, and this one module. Explore the sounds!
Almost like wavetables 🤭 Love the demo - I would love to hear what's gonna be if you use the Rosci oscillator to cross modulate filters or other oscillators - be ready for these crazy bleeps !!!
Ooh! I've not seen anything like this sold new before! I've seen some vintage 70s oscillator/function-generator/envelope hybrid things which were largely built from DIY projects, and had 4, 6, or 8 steps of which the amplitudes could be set by the user. Which needed an oscilloscope to be most-useful but definitely allowed for "digital" sounding timbres even with that analogue gear. (Like these ones, or emulating, say, an NES' steppy triangle wave.) But I've thought for a while that we could definitely do with something self-contained that does a similar task, with similar customisability, today. Since stuff like the Prophet VS or Korg DW waves can have a similar timbre, but aren't really customisable in the same way. And modern wave-table or wave-morphing synths are really built more around crunchy complex progressions, rather than just making your own cool timbre to your own desire. (I think some recent Rolands have "drawn" waves as an option, which are probably very similar to that 70s method, but of course don't have the generative abilities of this module! And if you don't need a groovebox or another SH101 emulation, it's like, welp.) I really like the little animated diagrams of the waves as well! They were sooo cute ✨
Probably the best presentation of anything modular i've seen lately. Like, a human touch and feel to it. (Sorry i've beaten art college so i can't speak normal anymore).
@@Digital__rb Uh..not remotely. Spend some time with oscillators like AJH Synth vintage core VCO, ACL, L-1, or some of the (non-chip based) complex oscillators out there if you want to hear some good analog (discrete!) oscillators.
@@NickHchaos i have an electrosmith 3340, its awesome, i want another one so i can do cool sync stuff accurately, my cinnamon filters dont track v/oct well in saw mode to do nice sync sounds
@@Digital__rb Yep, and discrete stuff sounds VERY different from CEM based stuff, potentially. I like CEM things with proper design (Sh-101 is a classic example), but, also a very different thing.
111.7 quadrillion waveforms, is that all? Are you even trying? ;) I don't know what a perfect 1/5 is but, what I hear is sort of a chord so, it's awesome.
Can it do sawtooth in fifths like in the Volca keys? Absolutely obsessed with that sounds would love to have that tone in eurorack it sounds so big with a a bit of delay and reverb
This is great. It looks like you are using the ESP32-S3 which has WiFi and BT capabilities. Not usually associated with eurorack but there are a lot of possibilities with a platform like that like generating and saving “presets” that could be wirelessly sent to the device from a phone or computer. Anyway, the sounds are cool. Cool way to spark a creative idea. Having the CV inputs for everything can probably lead to some wild results.
@@harryjones5260 What? This isn't genuine at all. We call it Colon Three marketing. Someone acting this way to seem more personal. This ain't real, lil bro.
I am feelin' this Rosci, fully. Absolutely delightful sounding module.

the harpist /electronicish-y music person spotted, cool!
Goth Egg :O

I received mine yesterday and it's a literal kaleidoscope of colors and waveforms!! Beautiful!! Back to my headphones.
Nothing like smiles and giggling as the ultimate proof of passion for sound creation.
Good luck with this, that's very cool.
Tristan should be very happy to have you, Liz, as you bring smiles and humanity back into the rack. Lovely module!

just buying a fucking volca or uno synth dum dum

This is a whole other way of making music. No musical training needed. Just turn dials til you get what you like…:)
@@jacquelinedrew3609I’ve been a musician most of my life and recently having gotten into modular synths it’s a whole new thing

sweetest demo ever 🎶
if I get into modular this might be one of my first modules, I love it so much
Ya'll are some wallet tempters
Ingenius, ingenous.. Ingenerous... Ingenious! Amazing concept.
.ca??!!! Making me proud to be a Canadian!...........................rad harmonics and waveforms..................
Looks and sounds awesome! And also, super smart drawing out those waveforms!
Sold out! x( When will you have the next batch? :)
This sounds really good. Hype for it
nice video cool music machine :D !!
dope

Sounds/looks interesting. I would love to hear it under extensive modulation.
This is awesome ❤
very cool beep booper you've got there
Congrats to Tristan and Liz!
Looks good sounds good
It's basically the Eurorack version of OP-1's Dr. Wave (with extra features!)
I'm not too interested in digital oscillators myself (bucking current trends), but it's always good to see more Canadian synth companies.
This is so analog sounding tho!

Oh daaaaamn this is cool as hell
Rosci is a bit sweet name for a such raw industrial aesthetic, i would call her Grizzli 🐻 xd
This is ace! New subscriber ✌🏻
That moment at 1:15. aha
A very nice VCO welcoming great modulation. Good job!
non spoken communication can be so wonderful xD

ive never been so down bad for a synthesizer lol
interesting 👍
can it also create cool sounds? :)
Cool!
Great!
Yummy waveforms
This would be a great addition to moog matriarch. Get sounds not possible before
fab idea, looks like a really well thought out implementation! can you clock the generate input at audio frequency?
Thank you!! ⚡️⚡️⚡️It would mainly sound like noise, it’s maximum clocking frequency for generate is around 8-10Hz

Named after the ship in The Expanse?
Haha love that show but no it’s from Random-Oscillator ;)
Do any of the settings sound good? The ones you’ve shown sound harsh :(
is there a way to save wave forms you particularly like?
Not at this time. Taking notes for V2...
Neato!!
Is it going in the Etsy shop?
neat
hella cool but 111.6 quadrillion waveforms is not enough
😂
Oh this rules.
FUN
Rad!
This a goated module. if only my rack wasnt full :(
Mmmmmmm. Interpolation. Tasty.
111.7 quadrillion - math checks out😂
but not Maths
Love this. It's already out of stock?! :o Nooooo

edit out the noise from the mic when the girl is not talking please

This shit looks random as hell! Wowzers, gonns take ya mans quite a bit to scroll through a quadrillion presets innit??

This may not be the product for you. Most of us are welcoming to both prime and composite numbers.
