@@ChrisJB I've spent the night in plenty Chris, usually during a long hike and glad of the refuge and shelter from the weather. I suppose one my most memorable was 6 of us in the Avon rufuge in the Cairngorms during a snow storm. Its only the size of a small Garden shed and has a stone wall all around it.
We were packed in like sardines, the whiskey helped for a happy night.

Hi, Chris I've only slept at the Lingy Hut once...a long time ago. before it was renovated. It was a really cold night, snow was blowing in through the gaps in the walls! The coldest night tho' was in Bearnais, between Loch Carron and Loch Monar!
The Northern Fells are grand, as you say, you can stride out all day. The old mines are full of interest, it's a shame Carrock Mine was "landscaped". But Sandbeds, Potts Gill and Roughton Gill are always good to have a mooch round 👌

Simply more magical scenes. How i remember skipping around in the moonlight outside Lingy hut, trying to stave off hypothermia on, what i thought, would be a balmy June night. Don't think it had that sign then but looks much the same otherwise (a bit cleaner and smarter actually)

A pleasure to watch your videos cinematic scenes with good audio quality. Dedication up at 5.a.m. Know the feeling of not getting act together before a walk. I like the neck tube, or is it Choob head gear. My goodness that Lingy Hut( bothy) ! looked isolated. Never heard of places like that before, but don't blame you for choosing. Looked more sheltered than wild camping. Great filming techniques and liked the trendy glove fingers. p.s. I don't like spiders either. Michael loves them!

That's very true, I've felt a lot colder in local bothys, (Dubs, Warnscale) than I have in my tent, those nice protective stone walls also suck heat like nothing else, so even if you've had a fire on it isn't long before it gets cold again.

@@ChrisJB Aye . I have plans to revisit myself. I don’t live too far away either. Within walking distance 😉 Maybe see on the hill sometime. Although I have a feeling we crossed paths when you were a ranger and I was still in Mountain Rescue

Hi Chris, the north lakes is by far the best place in the lakes for solitude along with parts of Ennerdale, tempted by a bothy but still not sure I would prefer it over a tent, will have to break my duck and see, how did vanilla do with part 2 of shergar? All the best pal and keep em coming 👏👏👏👍

Vanilla is doing a great job....I'm on tenterhooks after every episode. I really fancy Ennerdale, the last time I was there was 1989. It is a much longer drive for me but I should make the effort as I fancy doing Pillar. ATB, Chris
