- Discovering a new lake in Algonquin Park
In this video I head out and discover a new part of Algonquin Park that I have never visited before. This is my first time at the south end of Algonquin and my first time backcountry camping on Kingscote Lake.

I'm enjoying this discovery trip, Jason. That's a beautiful camp spot; loved the walk through the trees. Too bad about the smoke; I mistakenly thought it was mist in the last one.

Yip, they've been hazard reduction burning here in the Central Highlands of Tasmania and for some reason a lot of farmers have been burning off quite a lot, so we've had days of smoke haze. Nothing like what's going on in Canada right now, but still difficult to breathe.
I love steak and potatoes and there's nothing wrong with a medium sized piece of steak a couple of times a week. Really good for you.

Nice campsite. Too bad about the smoke and only one night. Lots more to explore in south Algonquin. I used to live down the road in Harcourt.

Kingscote Lake, I wonder how it was named? I live in Kingscote South Australia 🇦🇺. I believe it was named after an original settler in the 1830's
Hard work canoeing all of these wonderful waters but the payoff is exquisite. Hang in there with the smoke.. ugh.
