  • Health advice over the past decade has focused on what we need to lose. What if we flipped the script? Perhaps it's time to focus our attention on what we need to gain for better health.
Building muscle is something we’ve long associated with bodybuilding gym-buffs. Women in particular have shied away from it. Science is beginning to show that building good quality muscle all over our body could be the number one way to boost health, vitality and help you to live longer. It’s the best way we can begin to heal the body.
Dr Gabrielle Lyon is author of the book 'Forever Strong: A New, Science-Based Strategy for Aging Well'. This book is full of amazing health tips for women. She concentrates on how lose weight through building muscle, promoting a healthier vision of weight loss. Through her private practice, popular TH-cam channel and influential podcast she asks a fundamental question: How can we build strength, not just in the weight room, but in our daily lives? This is the topic of today’s conversation in which Dr Lyon sheds light on whether we should be skipping breakfast, why women shouldn’t be afraid of building muscle and explains the real importance of protein.

This advice from Gabrielle is amazing. Thank you for sharing this. It really changed my perspective on 'weight loss' and 'bulking' stereotypes.

Like a lot of what she says, but not a fan of her “big Pharma” view on cholesterol..
