      A lot of that would be water.
      Also, what about bone and muscle wasting over that length of time - especially if done too often? I think fasting has its benefits, and I believe that most of us don't know enough about our biology and physiology to make less than prudent decisions about the latest trends.
      I fast in smaller increments over a yearly cycle, but I'm now making sure that I add a mineral/electrolyte powder while doing so

    I still believe it's calories in vs out. BUT how much you eat is heavily influenced by what you eat. Sugar and carbs makes you eat more, and it takes huge discipline and self control to restrict calories on carb rich diet. I lost 10% body weight effortlessly on low carb.

    If I should ever bee so lucky to live in Tuscany I’ll eat olive fresh oil every day. Within two weeks the poyphenols polyphenols degrade, so unless I live near where I can get fresh cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, forget it. I’ll stick to tallow from locally raised, pastured cattle.

    I would love to drink more green tea but it makes me run to the bathroom, the caffeine in tea or coffee really cause bladder issues for me. I’m doing fine fasting 17/8 bought my A1C from 11.1 to 5.8. In about 6 months. I usually drink 1 mug of regular coffee and 2 cups of decaf and later in the day I have 1 cup of tea. Is there any tea that’s low in caffeine. I have improved my health listening to you and other Doctors on UTUBE. Thanks .

      From what I understand from Dr mark hyman, each veg is diff, each body is diff, some need to be cooked like spinach and nightshades can effect some people more then others..

    • @skippy6462
      @skippy6462 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      There's loads of fruit and vegetables that are low in oxalates. The inflammatory foods are animal products and ultra processed foods which contain unhealthy fats, oil and sugar. Not all vegetables are going to agree with us but because there's hundreds to choose from there's still plenty of choices.

    • @solomonsalsberg5961
      @solomonsalsberg5961 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@skippy6462 the inflammation depends on the individuals body and past eating habits throughout their life, younger people should have a better organ system depending on how they are eating, and lifestyle.
      Our bodies are Smart and adapt and tries to warn us too,the biodome of good bacteria, what we are really feeding, are not human and have their own body like we do, they are in the trillions and talk to every part of our body.
      But you already know this.
      Pure grass fed animal products cooked properly should agree with our bodies and produce little inflammation.
      Plants are protecting themselves with these jagged crystals that form clusters in our body causing inflammation leading to pain in various ways, some people develop tolerances to it for decades but then it breaks down an they start feeling some pains an aches..
      Unprocessed meats do not have oxalates ...
      .. but that info is from Siri and she is compromised lol..

    Language has changed so much again. The description plant-based does belong alongside something like a salad or a tomato for instance. Salads are plants. Tomatoes are the fruit of plants. They are not plant-based. It bugs me. I’m a wordy and a foody. It’s like using ’mental health’ as a descriptor for someone who is anxious or depressed. To me that would be better described as mental ill-health.

    You don't lose fat cells they just fill up more or empty out. So if you do liposuction you will have fewer fat cells to store fat in. When you lose weight your cells shrink. When you go Ketogenic your snoring and sleep apnea will improve or eventually go away. I have both 20 or more years ago when I was 40 lbs heavier. One criticism, saturated fats has never been shown to be harmful in the a person's diet, if he isn't up to date on that what else is he missing. He also seems to favor fake milk over real dairy which is debatable but butter and red meats have definitely been a big part of the Mediterranean diet for thousands of years and to date are probably the h safest and most nutrient dense food on earth.
