Excellent talk. The meat cycling is something I’d like to learn more about.

Japanese longevity diet, it is very low in protein and I doubt they lift HEAVY.
We are not under muscled... It is the shoveling of 'food like substances' that are deplte of real nutritional values 24/7 that is our problem.
    Hara hachi bu.
Swimming is probably the best resistance training you can do. Less impacting on the joints especially for those that are carrying too much weight.
As for the 'message' Dr Lyon is preaching....I like it.
Thank you for uploading and sharing.

I'm curious about fasting. I do intermittent for the most part, but I'm wondering about 1-5 day fasting, so I'm looking into that

I would suggest one large meal a day to prevent muscle loss..so 22 hours of fasting...I've experimented with long term fasting...depends on what your goals are ...

The best way to go about its go every alternative day, 16 hours fasting. Then you can slowly go 6 or 7 days. That's what I did now I'm almost a year into it. Currently 87 kgs from 92 and work out 4 to 5 days a week

I saw amazing results at a juice fast hospital I worked at. Great reset. A couple days of fasting on rare occasions you won’t lose muscle. Look at hunters who did not get food daily but thrived.

I think it's seed oils and fake foods. We need real animal fats.

Nice power play putting his chair a lot higher than hers!! And then crossing his arms as he LITERALLY talks down to her. I remember that Madonna incident where she was told "Oh it doesn't matter, it wasn't chosen for THAT reason" and she said, well great, then YOU sit in that chair; and the reporter immediately sent for a SAME level chair but he didn't sit in the lower chair, nor did he get a higher than his chair. She is intelligent, and should be aware of this tricks, which they always claim were accidental or that they didn't notice them.
I know I know, now someone will answer this comment with some distracting shit like "dude you got an inferiority complex" or some other bs like that, instead of dealing with the points made!!

Dr. Gabrielle and Mark have known each other and been friends for 8 years. They both have nothing but respect and admiration for one another. She's got here own podcast debuting soon and Mark is one of her first guests. I do hope you check it out when it gets released.

Do you know that chairs should be at different heights to be ergonomically correct for different sized bodies? He’s probably just taller than her and needs his chair higher for his longer legs. Don’t read weird motivations into everything. 🙄

So get same chairs, his legs are planting down from hips to knees, and hers up, so she can manage well with same level chairs.
Listen it is no big deal, it just reminded me of that time Madonna had that issue. She's great, and he doesn't seem to be ill intentioned, perhaps he didn't even noticed. But he can correct that if he wants for next time.
Good luck. I had forgotten about this comment.

Unfortunately, the difference with mainstream medical establishments and wellness/fitness experts will always be what is currently, but awareness and education is always a personal choice. How do we break generations of such learned behaviors? Be a role model for others, and help those when the opportunity arises.
