Instead of everyone saying "the bandit is better than the FJR in this way, or the FJR is better than the bandit in that way." Step back and appreciate both bikes for what they are

A quick Google search showed testers getting quarter mile times in the low 11s for both bikes. In a street race like this there are so many variables it's basically meaningless. The rider is probably the biggest variable. I've got an FJR similar to that one, and I probably couldn't turn 13 seconds. LOL

FJR is also nearly 200 lbs heavier, then add rider weight, gear weight, gas weight.... Take them on a 1000-mile road trip and see which one gets there first, more rested and relaxed, FJR. Also enjoy cleaning and lubing your GSF chain while the FJR rolls on. No paradox. Comparing an apple to an orange.

In this video, I show only the dynamic acceleration of motorcycles, and nothing more. According to the survey, I will say that the bandit is more economical, FJR is more comfortable and better to drive. I can write a lot, but there is no mood, there is a war in my country, Russia is destroying us, and no one can stop it!

The Yamaha is heavier, with more wind resistance and a gimbal instead of a chain. + on the bandit, the actual power is more than written. Yamaha FJR1300 engine has balance shafts. The gearbox has more working surfaces.

@@user-gc4kf3ff9o but Yamaha have 45 hp more and 45 Nm of torque more than Suzuki, I'm a yamaha fjr 1300 ovner and I sure that Yamaha must be faster than this suzuki. Mayby it's a used bike from France they have special law and the bikes in France must have 100 hp max.

@@uht200 Yamaha from japan. I had these two motorcycles, and it is a paradox that the bandit was not inferior to a more powerful Yamaha. This is also connected with the deception of factories in front of customers and the laws of the countries where motorcycles are sold. Read about the real power of the bandit 1200. I would not sell the bandit, but after the occupation of Crimea, I had to sell suzuki and buy the FJR1300. The maximum power you write about is marketing, in practice everything is different. For example, in fjr1300 at 9000 rpm, the motor ends, and on gsf1200s, the motor runs up to 11000 rpm, although at 8000 rpm the yamaha is slightly faster. also at low and medium speeds. The bandit drives immediately from 2000 rpm, and the Yamaha needs to wait until it unfolds. That's it)

These are my two motorcycles, and I have ridden both. Yamaha is no more convenient to dispute. But I also drove far away on a bandit, a very decent motorcycle is cheap and economical, since the engine does not require turning it, it rides with dignity at low revs. The cardan and all the mechanisms that are connected with it interfere with the Yamaha engine.

Also the bandit is a super comfortable bike especially with a proper seat. Can ride it all day long.
