Confidence is when you walk into a room assuming everyone already likes you! This quote helps every time I want to talk to strangers or have a presentation in class.
Everyone around you at school is trying to convince you that every grade, every quiz, every competition is the be all and end all of your life and that school is everything and means so much but that's really not true. Its hard in that environment like the vid says, but honestly believe me when I say school is the time to mess up and no one will even look at your school results once you have a higher qualification etc, there's always another chance, just go one step at a time. :)
i think of success as a series of fails intill you success cause it uselly is that way and if you think its either going to be success or failure then you will more likely grow to be a loser because you start something fail and then start something else
Damian Small Well, just check back and think about what you could've done better. Don't look back and think, "Wow. I'm stupid", because you're not. It's just there's one or two things you didn't understand, or misunderstood.
I have a learning disability called Dyslexia. It is so severe that when I was finally diagnosed post graduating from medical school that my doctors said I should not have been able to pass high school, let alone medical school. I have suffered from a lifelong academic failure and have failed more than anyone I have ever known in a university or medical school. I have been told my teachers, advisors and colleagues that I am a failure, a waste of time, and I can never make it. Somehow I graduated without disability accommodations. Even the government for the disabled refused to grant me accommodations because they do not believe someone with my condition could have ever passed high school, so I must have cheated. The government department for the disabled refused to accommodate a disabled. And after all this, now I get to help save lives during the world’s Covid-19 pandemic, so do not ever let anyone talk you out of your dream. My dream started when I was 5 and people are alive because this 5 yr old boy never knew how to quit. And I am now a new father and my son was born during the year of the pandemic 2020. I will teach him how to never quit.

The problem for me is that I don't like trying and my mind doesn't believe me when I say I can do it and the more I try and fail, the more I'm convinced I can't do it

Anything is possible, once you start to understand the power of the human mind. I overcame my dad molesting me, being drugged and raped, amongst many other challenges, by understanding Neuroplasticity. And how we can rewire our neurons, to change the way we think. Once you start to understand the power of the human mind, you can overcome PTSD, depression, addiction and so much more ❤

For someone who has lacked confidence all my life i am 40 now and i thought we can not keep repeating that lack of. I am grateful for the internet and videos like this that really give so much value on how to boost your confidence. Not to put anyone down but i think alot of society can gain from learning to be more confident.
Short-term help: Picture your success when you’re beginning a difficult task Listening to music with deep bass can promote power Give yourself a pep talk Make a power pose Long-term help: Believe in your ability to improve Don’t have a fixed mindset, thinking that if you’re not good at something you’ll never be good at it. Have a growth mindset. Keep growing. Those who fail regularly and keep trying anyway are better equipped to respond to challenges and setbacks in a constructive way. Realise it’s not gonna be easy. Accept that you’ll make mistakes.
So I actually tend to just open a new tab and listen to these TED-ed videos because, while the animation is pretty, I'm multi-tasking here. All the advice was entirely valid and logical. Well, I scroll down to the comment, and I see all these guys saying "Why is this for GIRLS ONLY?" and I had no idea what they were talking about. Scrubbed the timeline and saw that the artwork was of girls. How daft is my fellow man that just having the avatar be a woman means that it does not apply to him just the same?
I wasn't angered by just the girls, I was more annoyed by the bit at 0:14 where all the things laughing at the girl where the gender symbol for men (they changed them to Failure now)
I did, until you responded to my message, which brought my attention back to this video. Are you happy with yourself now? I think I'm ~[TRIGGERED]~ someone, call the internet police, someone said fuck.
+NerdSync 1:00 in what way is this comment section "disappointing"? If people are commenting about the clear sexism towards a group of individuals which is based out of misguided and outdated feminist generalizations, then it's positive. Sexism should not be tolerated in our modern society. Equality is what we all strive towards.
+NerdSync yeah it does. so why only focus on women? why only show one guy in the video who is one of the obstacles the main caracter has to pass? why let her be attacked by male gender symbols? the message does apply to all so the sexism the depiction of man as obstacles and destroyers of confidence is wrong, and it should be pointed out.
I like the last part that says "Whatever the results... you'll have gained greater knowledge and understanding." Learning to appreciate the growth journey and reframing outcomes that seem different from our expected results may really help in taking on unfamiliar challenges we find uncomfortable with. It's like 'playing the game, for the game itself'.
@@Pharaoh_Tutankhamen answering late but its a very well known french author in the 1600s who has written some of the most famous theatrical works in french history . French people know him very well 😁
Gotta keep talking to new people all the time. You'll get calmer and more confidence with each new person. :) Might not feel like anything's happening sometimes, but it eventually will.
Try read more and also try writing complex thoughts or esses. That will teach you how to automaticaly construct phrases in interesting and useful way. I did it for myself and now everyone tells me that i am an interesting person to talk to. Also you'll benefit from increasing ability to manipulate people (in good or bad way - your choice), tell 100% proof lies and so on.
Growing up, I didn't know this "You can improve mindset" that's why I was always afraid of taking risks. Now I am trying to change for the better. Fighting to all the people that are in the same situation as me.
Tbh, idk why I'm watching this because I honestly do these things everyday. I just have low self esteem, but not low confidence. Like, I think I'm ugly or awkward, but I don't care that much if I fail.
I think they are interconnected. I had a low self esteem but high confidence in the first place but the habit of having a inferior complex gradually resulted in a false understanding that others will always be better than me and an internal conflict started. The tussle between the two concepts led to a realization that- Others are better than me because they do better than me. And I lost the confidence as well.
I have realized that confidence is gained by experience and it isn't related to self esteem. I think confidence is more closely related to curiosity, the habit of trying out stuff because We are CURIOUS!
I am like this too I recommend trying to step out of your comfort zone and do new stuff that scares you I recently started wearing clothes I feel awkward in and with in a week I felt proud that I did it even when it scares me and now I feel much more confident
'keep trying' is what you say, but our current system doesn't really provide much opportunities for that. You fail the uni entrance exams, you are done for. Only a very small limited number of failures are accepted in school before you are expelled. One mistake might kick out of the company just before your idea could have turned you into a millionaire. How. Are. We. Supposed to keep trying?
+Angelisa Hassan *sarcastically* yeah. because I should totally try having the same exact conversation every day with the girl I'm trying to talk to. *rolls eyes* that'll totally work and she won't just think I'm a creepy stalker
But that's exactly what you need to do because once you give up you fail. There is no time limit to a degree, you can always resit, what's important is to learn from the mistakes so you can improve yourself. It's only when you blame others or have the victim mindset and stop trying is when you have truly failed. You must control your mindset, stay focused and keep working hard relentlessly. That is how you keep trying.
I don't know what country you're in but in the States there isn't time limits for degrees. The credits you do earn stay in the system. My mom finished her two year degree twenty years later. It took a couple times of her trying to go back to school and failing. But now my mom has her degree and I'm really proud of her.
"Confidence is when we think we are valuable, capable, optimistic and after a failure, we have come great knowledge and understanding". "It turns doubts into action" Thanks for this fantastic video :) Regards from Peru.
This isn't an easy thing to do, huh? For many people, it's not easy to wake up and go to work every day, but they do. For many people, it's not easy to deal with relationship problems, but they do. Sad thing is, many people go through a lot of un-productive pain. Pain that happens, and leads to no improvements. Nothing gets better from the pain. We are all going to experience pain no matter what (unless we literally stay high 24/7, or intensely distract ourselves, in either case we will eventually come down from the high and still have all the same problems we used to have). But there is productive and unproductive pain. There is pain that is worth your time, that will help you create the kind of future *you* want, and unproductive pain, that adds nothing to your life. Since we will all experience pain no matter what, we might as well make sure the pain we do experience is leading us to something better - something that we actually want - in the long run. Whether something is easy or hard rarely goes through my mind, actually. All I care about is what I want to do. When I find something I want to do, it doesn't matter if it's hard, I'm going to do it. Through doing it, I'll learn how to more efficiently do it. Take push ups for example. My form was wrong for a month. Then I learned the right way and now experience less pain and build muscle more efficiently. Working out is now easier. Figure out a goal that really speaks to you (if you don't have one - then make your goal figuring out what your passions are). Set your sights on it. Remove can and can't from your vocabulary. There is only will try or won't try. And start going after it. There was a time where scientists believed it was impossible to run a mile in under 4 minutes. Until a runner did it. Do you think the runner said "I can do this" or "I can't do this"? He can't tell the future, and neither can any of us. Instead he decided "I am going to try." And he kept trying till he made it. Make mistakes. Fuck it up. Try over and over again. Realize it's not what you're passionate about. Go back to the drawing board and figure out another passion. Try again. Make more mistakes. Fuck it up. Learn from it. Change your approach. Keep trying until you win. If you find something you want badly enough, you can decide "Either I'm going to accomplish this, or I'm going to die trying."
This helped so much. I was on the verge of giving up, given that I’m uncertain of my own capabilities + the pressure + failure. But this video lifted my spirits. Thank you, Ted Ed!
when I face a challenge I: 1. think 2. study 3. get confused in some way 4. releave self 5. eat 6. sleep more 7. panic 8. fail 9. think 10. let it go~~~~~~
Great video! Another point to add, which I find very useful. Instead of wondering, "Do I have confidence?" or "How to get confidence/be confident?", just don't think about it. You already have confidence inside of you, and whenever you don't feel confident, it's because you are throwing your confidence away. Don't think so much about whether you are confident, or whether you can do it. Just try. Just go for it. JUST DO IT. (not sponsored by Nike)
May I ask... ·How do I give a speech without panicking? (if it's possible then tell me) ·How do I not be a nervous -wreck? Gosh! confidence is hard especially when you're an Introvert... and now I'm becoming a Pessimist... great! (sarcastic voice)
I usually look somewhere above the audiences heads to make it look like I’m paying attention but at the same time not. So you need to distract yourself by looking at a different area to make you panic less. If you are very nervous you should try going first if you continue to see people doing good jobs at speeches you may get even more nervous. Remember to practice before hand as well. (I’m aware this is late, I also hope your speech went well even without my tips. >:3)
Even though I'm introverted I had to give a speech on a group project and I still find it hard to believe but I won the thing coz it was good apparently. What I'm trying to say is if you really believe what you are gonna say and think it's necessary to be told, you can do it. (Also having a supporting teacher is a privilege)
i personally believe that to be confident, you must learn the aspects of it's antonym. That is fear. Fear of what the outcome is. It is always looking at the negatives with the word 'if.' All you gotta do is stay cool and calm. Think about the positives of giving the speech and be comfortable.
See its really easy . I was reallt nervous even when I wanted to answer a single word . But then I kept comforting myself and I tell myself that it would be okay and it will go well and also tell ur self it's better to explain to a group of people rather than explain to each one of them. Just tell ur self that u are excited to present
Sorry I'm late and sorry for my poor English First I will offer you something, don't think of a red car don't ever imagine a photo of a red car., Now even tho I asked you not thinking of a red car but you did think of a red car first ! . Well it is the same when it comes to speech and presentation, you probably telling your self don't panic don't panic but then you do CUZ your brain was busy thinking of panic. What you should do is before you do your speech imagine of yourself being confident and tell yourself I'll do it I'll be excellent speaker.
I love how they show this to be confidence for some physical bullshit, like a sport or some shit like that, whereas what I'm using this for is just talking to people without being awkward as fuck XD
Confidence comes from experience. The way to develop that experience is to celebrate *effort* instead of *achievement*. The Persians found a way around the blockade at Thermopylae thanks to the help of a spy, and the Spartan defenders were slaughtered to the last man, but their defeat is celebrated while that more successful defense of Athens is mostly forgotten - because success isn't ultimately what's important.
Be selfish. Be crude and mean to people. Express the weirdest shit that comes to your mind in any way you wanna. Imitate people who don't give a fuck. These all seem like bad ideas, but they do counter social anxiety. If it becomes a way of life, you won't feel bad. If it doesn't, then it'll just be a phase. The end result should be the same : being comfortable with yourself in social situations.
2:01 that's where people go wrong, it's "believe in your ability to IMPROVE" and not what most of us usually remember "believe that you are the best", it takes practice and time to be the best, you can never know when you become the best.
Agreed. Also, some people may subconsciously believe that they are not good enough and that if they keep striving ‘to be better,’ they will eventually fill this void once they become ‘good enough.’ This is the trap that some ‘high achievers’ fall into-they aren’t chasing a dream but rather a feeling of self-acceptance that they believe will come once they’ve achieved enough. Personally, I’m working on understanding that even though I work hard every day to improve myself, I am already ‘good enough.’ My value doesn’t come from my achievements but from who I am and the love of Jesus Christ.
GUYS CALM DOWN. the reason the vid only features girls is because - as it says in the description - it was "Made in partnership with the Always #LikeAGirl campaign." .......

I so love this video. Even though I have achieved here and there, I still suffer from self-doubts and debilitating thoughts. Growth mindset and small wins help me a lot!
When I was little, I would get yelled at every day for no reason and I went mute in public. After a few years since then, I have boost my confidence but still don’t talk. I am looking for something to help me because in middle school you need to talk a lot. My biggest insecurity is my voice. It is very hard to understand me so that is another reason I don’t talk. I have been in speech from kindergarten up to third grade and it helped me talk but didn’t change how people understand me.
i am NOT an expert or smth, but what if you try to read some books you like out loud, or find something that you really like, for example some music or a show and talk about it with your friends or family? you can also try to record your voice, so you can like get comfortable with it while hearing it more and more and also when you hear you can get better at your pronunciation if that's what makes the others don't understand what you are talking! :) i hope i could help you in some way, and i wish you the best! good luck! i know you can! i believe you!
Trauma is tricky and going mute sounds like it was a coping mechanism. For that I would look up "resiliency steps" and "resiliency assets". If you don't use or practice anything it won't improve...so make sure you do speak (I like the suggestion of reading out loud), sing, seriously schedule and practice the exercises your speech teacher gives you, and talk with the closest people who have been encouraging you to speak the most. If there's one teacher who seems genuinely interested, maybe ask them to meet individually to talk and tutor.
25 years old and still trying to be confident in myself, since I know that it's holding myself back and preventing me from being who I know I can be. Hopefully I will be able to turn confidence into a habit instead of self-doubt.
Some of my advice: 1. Listen to some music, make your own baddie, confidence boosting playlist. 2. Try and say yes to a challenge, even if its just going outside. Its best to try and enjoy life to its limit ♡ 3. Try and connect with some old friends, or some family. Having some conversations with anyone really helps boosting social skills.
Absolutely. I like the new challenge and personally try to get people doing outdoor adventures at whatever level is appropriate for them. Rappel down a stairway, get "lost" in a small section of woods, tip a canoe over in shallow water... Seems to be a fast track to confidence and a building block to more adventure...and more confidence.

It is not just confidence. It modifies focus and thinking even making obscure thoughts seem plausible. It could work much more subtly but very modifying in behaviors such as feeling dread when when thinking of attacks or many other things causing you to lose confidence, have fears created or lose directions.

I been so mislead my whole life by my parents everytime I felt confident they called me arrogant so now whenever I have to be I just don’t know how. Which is why I searched up what is confidence and I saw this video. I hope everyone who’s been in my situation can find it in themselves to finally be confident to face life head on!

The emphasis on developing a mindset of gratitude in this video was eye-opening. Cultivating gratitude for the small joys in everyday life has become a crucial aspect of enhancing my self-esteem.
When I feel stressed or anxious I simply talk to myself. For some people it might sound psychopatic to talk to yourself but for me it sooths me and I feel like I've talked it out of myself instead of going to a person. Of course I dont speak loudly, Just under my breath but it helps a lot.
Self talk, or positive self talk is a technique that is taught by psychologists. As long as you aren't babbling in public it's completely healthy. Another level is to do some self talk while looking in the mirror. I encourage people to self talk out loud before a new challenge such as rock climbing. I can help them pick out and verbalize what they have control of, what skills they have, what safety measures are being taken, what things could "go wrong" but still be safe, and really work on the thought quadrant of "total behavior".

+christina kang Some feminists are like that. It gets old hearing feminists, say no real feminist are like that, but the reality is feminism has no single definition
+BLTspace The same reasons apply to you. I have a lot of guy heroes I idolize. And even though I'm a girl, I still take their awesome traits and try to mimic the traits.

Thank you for this. I've struggled with this my entire life. I've always had trouble gaining confidence and always having dealing with low self esteem. Now I have a case of social anxiety to add in to the mix :( I try everyday and struggle each time. I try to stay positive and even have good friends and some family that support me but when I'm in those challenging situations like being around very outgoing, talkative people who are very diff from myself or people who tend to remind me of those from my past that made me feel terrible about myself(I was also picked on growing up). I really wanna be at a point where I am confident and feel great about me and and am happy with me but I still look at stuff like this as it continues to encourage me to keep trying and that hopefully I will reach that point. Plus it also reminds me that I'm not the only one who feels this way. I still wish I could interact or be surrounded with people who are like me, that way I wouldn't always feel like the odd one out. I suspect those of you complaining about there being girls in this vid would not bat an eye or find it weird if they were only boys. You may not even notice it. Because that is what is "normal". Great video, great message, thank you.
+VivianStorm At first I thought everyone was overreacting, and they might be a bit but I see where this is coming from. It's not just that there's a focus on girl characters, it's things like what you see at 1:00 about social pressure. That's kinda cliche and can be seen as sexist because of how simplistic it is. The animation just seems a little biased or just indelicate in the best case scenario. The VO and the title are pretty general but the animation seems inadequate and focuses on girl issues without much nuance for no apparent reason.
+VivianStorm Wait two wrongs, NEVER make a right. I thought feminism is trying to be about equality, but this video contradicts that. It's not just girls whom have problems in this life.
There is no mention to exclusively girl issues in the video. The moment at 1:00 is a world with an overwhelmingly male point of view, though I can see how that can be misunderstood. And, sigh, yes, everyone has problems. But you would not tell a person who is discriminated, say a black person "it is not just you who has problems, whites do too". It is like there is this big pie, and a certain type of people have 90% of it. Other type of people takes a slice and suddendly the first group is yelling "my pie, my pie, my pie!" I have been aware of countless things, say videos like these, directed to humans in general but featuring only males. Would it really kill you to have some with only females?
+ VivianStorm I agree that the people who are focusing on it just being aimed towards women are being slightly childish. But, the scene at 1:00 is clearly implying that woman are oppressed by men and ONLY men. There is no "misunder[standing]". Sexism is prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination on the basis of sex. That scene is a perfect example of prejudice as well as stereotyping. We don't need to hurt one group (males) in order to empower another (women). Everyone is after equality, we should not hurt one another in the process.
Once you stop allowing yourself to make excuses to yourself, you'll start acting to your benefit. There's good and bad in everything. You have the power to focus on the good and use it to your advantage. To those of you about to make an excuse, please read from the beginning.
It's sometimes nice to watch these kinds of videos, because they show me I'm not a genius, I just did everything right every single time, on accident. And that feels great, because then I can just tell everyone I'm not a big deal, and actually guide them to victory with the knowledge aquired here. There are so many people I know that are better than me at stuff, older than me, but that consider me their "mentor" because I guided them to what they are now.
Well, more like stress over money can decrease confidence. After a certain amount of income, so they say, happiness and confidence don't improve any more. They kind of plateau with financial independence. So yeah, you need money to stay stress-free, thus confident, but only so much to be financially independent.
Another one just pat yourself at the back of your shoulder on every little successful task, this will lighten the mood to try again and will also make you look forward to appreciation from yourself. This will develop self esteem. And I'm not a confident person but love patting myself and look forward to it 😜. Crazy as I may sound THIS IS ME 😎. Try it, there is no harm in it!
That animator was VERY creative when it came to transitioning from one topic to another by choosing shapes that could also be used to represent the next topic!
As a man I feel flattered that only girls appeared in the video, meaning that we true men do not need to boost our confidence. I would like to thank the authors of the video for this!
Yes, the illustration is unbalanced and the commentary could have included a line about the fact the video both addresses boys and girls but on average from what I see in class, girls are less confident, especially in public. Also, I suppose that we can empathise with a human being whatever its gender, can't we?
Oh, by the way, the only man that appears in the video is at 3:32, where they say "ask others for advice" and he is giving a lesson to the girl. Yeah, in barely 4 minutes they have managed to depict women as insecure and lost, while depicting men as self-confident and wise.
Haven't we surpassed "what we see" mentality by now? Boys/Mens are socially more required to act self confident, and are taught to be like that since very young. The set back by not being it is severe. Just look at any one pointing this out about the animation, at least one comment is "stop being such a bitch". Fueling the misconception with the animation is not the right way to go. Lack of confidence and self esteem is as much of a problem for guys as it is girl. It is just not visible in the same way. Failing to acknowledge this have/is creating a disproportionate gender gap in depression, suicide and other mental problems related to confidence and self esteem. Confidence is when you walk into a room assuming everyone already likes you!

TheMaster-Y nope, that's called over-confidence or in other words, narcissism.
Lord Bumbo it is unless you have really low self esteem

Hmm good way to remind ourselves.....thanx
I feel like alot of people don't give you time to fail and improve. Especially with how school goes. There's only so much time. But I'll keep trying.

Don't think of "FAIL" as "FAIL", think of it as "F.A.I.L." = First Attempt In Learning.
i think of success as a series of fails intill you success cause it uselly is that way and if you think its either going to be success or failure then you will more likely grow to be a loser because you start something fail and then start something else

Congratulations!

I am grateful for the internet and videos like this that really give so much value on how to boost your confidence. Picture your success when you’re beginning a difficult task
Listening to music with deep bass can promote power
Give yourself a pep talk

Long-term help:
Believe in your ability to improve
Don’t have a fixed mindset, thinking that if you’re not good at something you’ll never be good at it.

I wasn't angered by just the girls, I was more annoyed by the bit at 0:14 where all the things laughing at the girl where the gender symbol for men (they changed them to Failure now)
Oh, what? That's really odd.
DID YOU JUST ASSUME THE GENDER OF THAT CHARACTER??!?!?!?!?
shut the fuck up
I did, until you responded to my message, which brought my attention back to this video. Are you happy with yourself now?
I think I'm ~[TRIGGERED]~ someone, call the internet police, someone said fuck.
This comment section is really disappointing.
+NerdSync 1:00 in what way is this comment section "disappointing"? If people are commenting about the clear sexism towards a group of individuals which is based out of misguided and outdated feminist generalizations, then it's positive. Sexism should not be tolerated in our modern society. Equality is what we all strive towards.
yep
+Henry J welcome to TH-cam
Sky Alderson The message of this video applies to everyone.

Like, I think I'm ugly or awkward, but I don't care that much if I fail.
same
I think they are interconnected. I had a low self esteem but high confidence in the first place but the habit of having a inferior complex gradually resulted in a false understanding that others will always be better than me and an internal conflict started. The tussle between the two concepts led to a realization that- Others are better than me because they do better than me. And I lost the confidence as well.
Vibodh Jadhav same here 😔
I have realized that confidence is gained by experience and it isn't related to self esteem. I think confidence is more closely related to curiosity, the habit of trying out stuff because We are CURIOUS!
Me too ):
i lm always shy... sometimes when im not shy, the next day will be more.shy
How. Are. We. Supposed to keep trying?
so what you're saying is that everyone should just not try to better themselves or try to study for tests in subjects that they aren't good at.

Zeek1212 that was beautiful and encouraging..thank you.. 😊🤗

(if it's possible then tell me)
·How do I not be a nervous -wreck?
Gosh! confidence is hard especially when you're an Introvert... and now I'm becoming a Pessimist...
Sorry I'm late and sorry for my poor English
First I will offer you something, don't think of a red car don't ever imagine a photo of a red car.,
Now even tho I asked you not thinking of a red car but you did think of a red car first ! .
Well it is the same when it comes to speech and presentation, you probably telling your self
don't panic don't panic but then you do CUZ your brain was busy thinking of panic.
What you should do is before you do your speech imagine of yourself being confident
and tell yourself I'll do it I'll be excellent speaker.
i rarely leave a comment, because i always think what other would think. so to practice failure i must comment, hahaha
Hassanuddin Kasim Well, because you want too practice failure, I completely disagree with your comment

I love how they show this to be confidence for some physical bullshit, like a sport or some shit like that, whereas what I'm using this for is just talking to people without being awkward as fuck XD
😎
Ikr thts y im here but i guess it didnt help
that confidence will translate into everything you do, it's a lifestyle change.
Fantastic video 👏
3:17 "Studies show that those who fail regularly and keep trying anyway are better equipped to respond to challenges and setbacks"

I have an amazon code to get a book that helps against anxiety. I can give it to you if you want
i am NOT an expert or smth, but what if you try to read some books you like out loud, or find something that you really like, for example some music or a show and talk about it with your friends or family? you can also try to record your voice, so you can like get comfortable with it while hearing it more and more and also when you hear you can get better at your pronunciation if that's what makes the others don't understand what you are talking! :) i hope i could help you in some way, and i wish you the best! good luck! i know you can! i believe you!
@@tiemi130 I will definitely try this thank you so much
Trauma is tricky and going mute sounds like it was a coping mechanism.
Some of my advice:
1. Listen to some music, make your own baddie, confidence boosting playlist.
2. Try and say yes to a challenge, even if its just going outside. Its best to try and enjoy life to its limit ♡
Love this video. For some reason it keeps showing on my suggested videos...haha

There are several tips to try
Work out why you suffer from shyness - the first step in solving a problem is to understand why it is there.
Be at ease about yourself - this makes it less difficult when you meet others.
Challenge youself - you will become more confident by taking action - especially by doing activities which stretch your boundaries.
(I read these and more tips on sebs shyness tactic website )

Have you heard people talk about - Hanhristian Ganuhammad Blueprint - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Fantastic video! Another great piece of advice that worked for me is to take care of your body. Eat healthier, get good amounts of sleep and drink tons of water and exercise. These things help keeping me feeling great and people around you respond better to you when you are feeling great.
Notes;
WHAT IS CONFIDENCE?
Take a belief that you're capable, worth while and valuable, also known as self esteem.
Act courageously to face a challenge head on.
This is confidence. It turns thoughts into actions
SEVERAL FACTORS THAT IMPACT CONFIDENCE;
1,what you're born ,with such as genes which will impact things like balance of neuro chemicals in your brain
2,How you're treated
3,The part you have control over - choices you make ,risks you take and how you think about and respond to challenges and setbacks.
TIPS TO THOSE;
1,Try a quick fix(short term relief from problem) - dance
2,Believe in you're ability to improve - having a growth mindset will definitely boost your confidence.

It is not just confidence. It modifies focus and thinking even making obscure thoughts seem plausible. It could work much more subtly but very modifying in behaviors such as feeling dread when when thinking of attacks or many other things causing you to lose confidence, have fears created or lose directions.
what bout physical confidence? what if one is born ugly or misfigured?

exactly, mutation or illness can disfigure a person

I been so mislead my whole life by my parents everytime I felt confident they called me arrogant so now whenever I have to be I just don’t know how. Which is why I searched up what is confidence and I saw this video. Watching this really made me remember that being confident is okay that it’s a good thing and that it’s not an arrogant way of feeling good about myself. I hope everyone who’s been in my situation can find it in themselves to finally be confident to face life head on!
By you replying to this thread, you have got this, well done. Don't look for blame, maybe your folks had it hard back in the day. My Dad said to me: point a finger at someone and 3 fingers are pointing back at ya!...keep your faith..
trevbeats77 trust me I’m 24 i know my parents well. And I have nothing against them. But they were just not the model parents I had hoped for, which I seeked elsewhere.
arrogance is simply exaggerating in feeling that you're better than people and looking down on them.
People who tell you that just want you to be able to control you, parents included.

I agree, it's much easier to be confident when you're alone all the time and nobody questions your abilities, skills, potential, achievements, etc. ;)

The emphasis on developing a mindset of gratitude in this video was eye-opening. Cultivating gratitude for the small joys in everyday life has become a crucial aspect of enhancing my self-esteem.
The animation and music in this video were great I love this style
Loved it. Gonna play this for my kids tonight.

TRUE
🏆🏆🏆 in other words no matter what happens paving your own road is one route to confidence.

Thank you again for this video

+VivianStorm because male is default. female must have a reason. GOD IS MALE FFS
You forgot something. Money. Money can impact our confidence a lot.
+Explicit Tech, no. Money is a reward, and if there's no reward, there's no point in doing something
+Zeppelans tel that kids that play computes games
Well, more like stress over money can decrease confidence. After a certain amount of income, so they say, happiness and confidence don't improve any more. They kind of plateau with financial independence. So yeah, you need money to stay stress-free, thus confident, but only so much to be financially independent.
Keep up with These Great Videos!

That animator was VERY creative when it came to transitioning from one topic to another by choosing shapes that could also be used to represent the next topic!
shout out to those parents that actually supported their kids when they failed XD
Also, something simple like a new hair style could boost your confidence.
Personally, I feel wayyyy more confident when I wear my Afro.
