      Not sure what the reasoning was, maybe just not enough seat time given to the driver and filming crew, but they messed up big time. This event didnt deserve only 3 minutes of driving impressions from Chris and only 3 minutes of track filming from who im assuming was badman Neil. Im left wanting so much more. But the "on road" video is still to come. Hagerty and Henry Catchpoles video on this car is outstanding if you want a more fleshed out longer review of this car. GO WATCH IT

      Maybe consider researching the 99-2008 911 with a sealed intermediate bearing that invariably failed before 60k miles and then refused to stand behind what was obviously one of the worst engineering debacles to have ever been bestowed on a vehicle (and coincidentally the only design EVER to place a sealed bearing that was single point failure critical to the entire engine) no one had ever or since for that matter even considered placing a non lubricated sealed bearing inside of an engine for very obvious reasons (like bearings under load need lubrication to function and decrease wear and possible failure).

    • @r.guardia9107

      @@r.guardia9107 Ever heard of how low margins on cars are? Porsche is standing at the top of the ICE car pyramid with a measly 20% per car sold, because you can't buy one without getting options on it from a dealer without markup. No one is getting wildly rich beyond your imaginations at ICE car companies. Better margins running a delivery service, webstore, or finance company lmao. For reference Tesla is at the top of all automaker and reported a 29% margin sold on each model 3 2022, but Tesla delivered more autos than 4x the total volume of Porsche. So Tesla is really raking in the $$$$$$$$.

      How many of this car’s owners will have the knowledge required to adjust the damper settings, and the skills to come up with faster lap times due to their fine tuning? Such a car can be coaxed by Chris Harris to show its greatness, which is its ability to corner at speeds that, without downforce, would result in a certain crash no matter who is driving. How many of this car’s buyers are as good at a track as Chris Harris? The answer, of course, is that none of this matters.
      In these times, owning a car like this confers beaucoup cred on the driver, trust fund baby though he almost certainly will be. In these times, appearances are more important than reality. The only track time this car’s owner will be participating in is on Santa Monica Blvd on hot summer nights. Just as well, because spec Miatas passing them on the inside at track days would be somewhat embarrassing.

    • @BB-zv8tx
      @BB-zv8tx 2 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      If you had ever been to the Nordschleife, especially on a track day, you would know that a very large part of GT3 RS owners do track their cars on a regular basis. The average supercar buyer with no driving skill would rather buy a Huracan or a McLaren than a GT3 RS.

    • @Peanutdenver
      @Peanutdenver 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      @@johntechwriter Porsche will actually educate you in the Accelerated Program(for example)on how to drive the car, adjust your track day settings and improve your driving skills. Now will there be some guys who creep traffic lights in LA, London. Dubai and Beijing? Sure, but the GT3 RS is the single most tracked car in production and it's not even close. So don't hate the game dude, hate the player.

    I went to the Porsche dealer recently just to check out one of these. Extra bonus - they had a 918 Spider in the shop! Cool car. I've always liked the GT3 because the acceleration is powerful but more linear than a turbo, thus more predictable. Normally aspirated is the way for me. I also drive a 911 Turbo Cabriolet, and it when you turn up the power, it decides when it wants to snap your head back.
    Kudos to Chris Harris - a really objective and informative review.
