In this tutorial I show you how to paint Black Templars so you can get them ready to play Warhammer 40,000
This is an easy to follow guide that uses Citadel products to achieve fantastic looking miniatures, even if you’re new to the hobby.

Just recently got into tabletop 40k, where I have been a fan of 40k for sometime, black templars have always had a soft spot for me and for this being my first paint set up you helped tremendously ty.

I bumped into you today in the shop, you’ve made this look a lot simpler than other channels with an easy paint description guide and what can only be described as what I was looking for.
This is also the metallic I was after, pity I bought the wrong paints!😂😂

Super crispy, but honestly it reads as a dark grey to my eyes.
Great video as always. Perfect for my cute little crusaders. Btw, there’s this stuff called…Tamia? Temia? Idk but it’s called panel liner, and it’s basically ink that quickly and efficiently coats into recesses, giving you a recess shade in a literal fraction of the time. Great for the style of shading you do.
I have some of the Tamiya liner. It’s great for other kind of scale modelling. Like gundams and cars etc. Be aware though that it’s enamel based, not acrylic. Generally you would put a varnish down first before using it. You can only clean it and neaten it up with solvent thinners which will attack the acrylic paint.

Please do black legion or a dedicated guide for edge highlighting because I am really struggling on edge highlighting my first mini. (Ultramarine)
Just to clarify, it's not my first ever mini, it's the first one I'm trying to edge highlighting on

So I that's the video I was watching and the reason I asked, you see, I watched that video and I'm paintimg ultramarines, but I'm really struggling with the edge highlighting so I was hoping he would do a video that goes in depth about it. But also I'm painting black legion aswell
@@Sanguinius2580 this chanell/guy is pretty much the only tutorial channel I've found which actually explains things well and shows what to expect and is far far far more beginner friendly than others

How to you get your highlights so smooth with one go started practicing as I got the templars combat patrol and my highlights are rough and I need to go over more then once on some really like this video nice and easy 👌
It really is just practice. I’ve done a lot of highlighting in the past few years. Also you can use magnifiers or a pot of reading glasses to help see better
I got dome colours for the black templsrs but should I grab more to do what you do, its my first time trying to paint a space marine
My tutorial is kind of a best scenario for how to paint Templars. Don't feel you need to do everything the same as me. My advice would be to get some of the spare bits in the kit and practice some of what I've shown you before painting the actual miniatures. get your head around some of the tecniques and it's good practice, especially for highlighting. Good luck and rember to just take your time with it

You can and it would be easier. I decided not to do it for he video because i don’t expect people to buy 2 sprays. I always try and use the least amount of colours if I can

Excellent enjoyable educational and just wetting my brush how about an original Primaris Chapter not one of GW's or white dwarfs. Basic law sons of VULKAN caring about the humans on the world only protection is the Bronze Centurions Chapter
If your looking to paint your own chapter. All you need to really do is change the colours. All the steps and techniques still apply 😁 that idea for a chapter is great 👍🏻

@@TableTopReadyTH-cam I’m being serious this is probably my favorite Black Templars painting tutorial on TH-cam. I think I’m going to use it to paint my own, the only difference, I’m going to do, is use army painter Matt Black, it’s got great coverage and I can just get to work on all the details, and layering right after I prime them.
3 times u are layering and edging the armor for 1 SINGLE MARINE ?? fukk that !!!! (but good job on final result and effort) , im not going to be submitting my marines to any art contests anyways
3 highlights is a lot but it’s good to show people what you can achieve. For most people painting an army I would suggest maybe just one stage and maybe go the extra mile for characters
