    i’ve just found this channel because i’m feeling getting back into painting after like 8 years break. I was obsessed spent every weekend in gw painting when i was younger. It’s mental what todays gen have with channels like this and yt in general. I had shop painters show me when i’d spend saturday in the shop, but this is next level. I would have killed for content like this when i was younger. Thanks for providing it mate 👌 skills are insane. 😎😎😎

    Excellent tutorial. Been real lucky here lately- I've stumbled onto more channels worth subscribing to in the past 24 hours than YT's shown me in six months. They'll shove plenty of k-pop, minecraft, sports highlights and rap videos in my face- but none of the stuff I type in myself. Content worth watching is worth searching out though, so I'm glad I found your videos. Quality stuff you've got here, to say the least. Looking forward to seeing what's next, and have yourself a great week.

    Fill a bowl / bin with water and dish soap. Let the figures soak for a few mins. This helps get all the dust off and removes the release agent used on the kit molds.
    You can do this again after it’s been primed if you want to clear dust off. Just use less dish soap.
    Been doing this for years, it works.

    This is top notch quality painting, thanks for sharing your knowledge and skill. It appears your paints are quite runny on your wet palette, is it due to being very watery or do you use a flow improver? What is your dilution ratio? Each time I try to get a similar consistancy as yours it tends to be totaly unusable. Thanks again!

    Amazing video, really appreciate the time you put in!! I’m struggling to get such a precise edge line when edge highlighting, tends to be too translucent if I apply it too light or too thick of a line. What’s the most important factor for a good highlight? Maybe brush size or paint thickness?

    • @InfernalBrush
      @InfernalBrush  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Paint thickness, not necessarily brush size but sharpness and brush control definitely play a part, also the type of paint as some are more translucent than others, greens seem to be the worst for this as I've recently experienced. I will usually thin the paint and have to paint in the highlights a few times to establish them properly, depending on the paint being used.

    Maybe one day I'll have this level of patience and a skilled hand. I've been doing mostly citadel contrast paints for my BT box set. They work really well, but I'm thinking about going back in with more layer paints later down the line to add more detail. Do you have any tips for getting that yellow gold for the crest? I've been doing retributor armor with reikland flesshade gloss, but it makes more of a darker gold.

      Hello. I have a video for the metallics on the Black templar you can find it on my channel. It is Canoptek Alloy, shaded with Cryptek armour shade, followed by wyldwood contrast and finally rhinox. Highlight with Vallejo Model Air Silver. I would also recommend looking at the pro acryl and scale 75 metallics, they have some really nice colours and are very smooth metallic paint. Thanks for watching!

    • @InfernalBrush
      @InfernalBrush  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching! Brush control mostly just comes with practice, however finding the proper bracing position can really help with shakiness. I find this is bracing my left arm on the desk and then bracing my painting hand against my left hand. Proper desk height can also help. I have used W&N Series 7 brushes for the past 10 years, they are on the expensive side but a good one is worth every penny.
